I don't have a problem with the price of the bag. There are many things that people buy that seem ridiculous to me such as really expensive SnapOn toolboxes. I can't believe that people pay ridiculous delivery fees to have fast food delivered to them when they could simply take a few minutes and pick up the food themselves.
Holy hell man, I thought you were charging $400 for just the bag not with all the radio equipment . That could be why people are losing their minds over the cost. So how much for just the bag?? Is just the bag and option?
@@stevejackson9952 You need to scroll down further to the CUSTOM MANPACK BAG. The one that you looked at is for 3 radios plus a basic carrying case, not the custom bag.
The pouch looks great, but if possible switching the black materials for ranger green or 499 tan really lightens up the m81 overall. The extra black makes it look so dark and I know that's what they used originally, it's amazing how much that one change does lol. Even if it's not changed, it still looks really good and functional!
Evan has done a great job to make this stuff understandable. This stuff isn't rocket science, but to a newbie it all seems extremely complicated. These devices and skills offer much help in a time of need!
Love your channel. I don’t miss an episode. Keep up the good work. I would like to hear more about the key features of both radios. Such as how does the high powered radio work as a repeater? What kind of range will we expect from both radios? How do you find repeaters and connect to them in your area?
Absolutely amazing presentation and set up !! When it comes to radio communications and building a proper setup unless you have worked with this equipment in some fashion, how do you know what to buy, and what to stay away from ? There are so many cheep off brands, scammers, and just straight up junk products out there these days its exhausting... My hat goes off to you Wranglerstar for all the amazing PROho tips and tricks you provide to this community you have built. We all know when you recommend a product and / or tool to us here you have personally tested and vetted it and all the guess work is done.
First thing you do is wrap the radio with a heavy Velcro band. 2nd thing we do is put said wrapped radio in a small pouch. 3rd thing we do is cook the radio electronics because it can no longer cool itself and it overheats. Yea, great job.
Evan has a beard that, straight men and stunning ladies drool over. Far east coast guys in the UK can't have radios as it hurts our politicians ears. Peace 👍👍👍👊👊👊
@@wranglerstar Understood. It seems to have all the nice features, but for the regular guy we could get another entire radio for that price. I just purchased a few items from Evan, and I appreciate all your input. I'll look for an option to the Bespoke bag.
@@wranglerstar perhaps he is not skilled enough to be making bags for a living and paying himself 50$ an hour if it takes one full day to make a small one. why do you think 50$ an hour is reasonable for a hobbyist?
Ouch a little expensive for my blood but I can see why a specialty bag like that can be so expensive. Very nice! Im sure this going to be a bag that will last someone a lifetime. Plus considering the price of the equipment you're putting in it Im sure its worth the cost.
These radio kits are really nice but I can't afford them. I'm not a fan of soft cases for my radio's, optics or night vision. I'm a Hard Case kind of guy so I fell in love with the "Hammo Can" system with extra batteries, Charger and a solar panel charger. I love the UV-5R radio's. They are good cheap disposable radios that I buy by the 6-pack and clone or custom program with CHIRP. If on of my radio's gives up the ghost? Who cares I just drop it in the part's box and grab another cloned radio and turn it on. The UV-5R is a outstanding bargain for under $30ea. I bought a bunch of them back when they were under $20ea and they are all still running like champions.
Essentially this is a modern, up technical, version of the 1970 CB. Base station at home, radio in the car, hand held walkie talkie, that all share the same number of frequencies. Except that this same radio can monitor public emergency frequencies like my old scanner. I understand that it uses different frequencies than the old CB. Please confirm that I understand this correctly.
The bag is designed to allow quick and easy use of the radio while inside. Pelican or other hard cases are excellent storage solutions, but do not lend themselves to the same style of operation.
I hope my question actually gets answered. What about the heat that the radio produces wrapped in Velcro and shoved in a bag? I noticed there was a small fan on the bottom that would be my only concern.
4the time I’ve answered this in the comments Me and several others have ran our man packs for about 14 months. No issues. With extreme use unzip the main compartment and let it get some extra air
This is a giant waste of money to be honest.. 400$ is crazy.. Eberlestock has top of the line ruck sacks for less than 400$. Also they have very similar pouches for 60$-40$. Also American made
It’s like buying Nicks wild land fire boots or Iron pants its an investment. High quality that lasts vs low quality that has to be replaced. Some times I have to sacrifice quality and go to the generic low quality if it’s not an important essential item. But if something is essential you go high quality if one can get the money to buy it so it does not have to be replaced constantly. Like saving up for that 1980 Toyota pickup I wanted to buy. It would. Have been a fantastic deal as many are still on the road.
i know evan offers his consults but does anyone have any additional links to information for a complete beginner i would like to learn and it would be much more helpful if someone who knows can point me and others to a more direct learning instead of me mindlessly poking around the internet thanks
If you ever get a chance to take Evans class zero to hero do it. People travel all over the us to do so. Also let’s all encourage Evan to make an online group of tutorials we can subscribe to for a reasonable price if we can’t make a class
Y'all are misusing the word "BESPOKE." Bespoke means one of a kind. If every customer could request their own configuration of pockets, zippers or snaps or velcro, etc etc etc, THEN it would be bespoke because no two would be alike. THIS is a product that was designed to pair with a specific product, but every one is the same materials, layout, etc. So you can call it lots if things, but it's certainly not bespoke.
This is not a controlled item, make this your last question. And the question prior is what fine print is found in licences. The burden of operations and it's decorum is and will always be on the user. No permission slip will create the communication solution to any situation, your abilities and tools do that.
@@MunitionsDudTester I haven't looked into that sort of thing since Morse code profincy was required. Back then you had to have the right amature license to even buy certain equipment.
Operating these radios including the Yaesu VX6r on amateur repeaters requires an amateur radio license. Also, you're price for the Yaesu is 2X what I can buy it for as a licensed amateur.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 400 radio purse lol youtube gone to far … let me tell my grandpa i spent 400$ on a man radio purse he would seize my accounts and give it back when he passes
