I know that it might not feed the artistic goals of this venture, but I want to see every kit in excruciating detail. Like I would sign up for patreon if you just dropped an album of all kits you've assembled. Cheers.
That is a fantastic idea actually. Many people like good ideas or concepts, but never take the time to BUILD kits like this. There is a company called "Justin Case" that makes several different roadside emergency kits. Van could carry a whole line of tool kits with all the items on this video.
if you head to home depot, they sell the Klein Bank Pouches Van uses , they sell it in white. You know what you have to do. Paint over the logo, and in precise detail, draw on the spirited man logo. All for $13 you can have your own spirited man kit! That said, if these were officially made from Van/SM, i'd go that route just to support him.
Absolutely phenomenal choice to use a Klein zipper bag. I work in the trades and slowly overtime you find out about exceptional tools and products through work. But I truly appreciate you sharing your curated collection of some of the best “stuff.” The typewriter and it’s case, your pencil and how to modify it, Swiss Army knife, the list can go on and on. Thank you Van
“If the car is newer than say 2005, you ain’t fixing it.” lol appreciate you telling me right off the bat that this video is not for me and can be skipped!
Yes yes a million times yes! This video embodies the idea of the spirited man! Just the simple idea of a tool kit of the nessisary things in the center consol rather then just a loose assortment of junk!
We used to play what's in Brandon's pocket . And someone will always why would you carry that around and before the end of the day that one thing would save the day
98% of that stuff would never be used in my car. I live in a northern climate, so a good car kit consists of a snow shovel & cat litter. So, you can dig your car out of the snow when it gets stuck, and the cat litter is for weighing down the back end for traction.
"So I know where they are." I can't count the number of things I have in random places because I know that they're there and don't know where else to keep them..
After watching all this videos of yours, I have to ask the question, why do you feel the need to engrave or label every single thing you own, or might own? Believe me, I know, and understand OCD and ADHD, but this is excessive.
This was good Van, but I recommend Extreme Post-Its for the car kit. They're weatherproof and stick even better (made of a plastic-y paper like money, the adhesive holds on to anything). They can still be written on with pencil pen etc too. I kept one on the side of my messenger bag for several weeks as a durability test.
As a Landcruiser owner (well two land cruisers, 80 and 100), I would love to see your other kit. On a side note, don't feel the need to continue putting out two videos per week. Many RU-vid channels have succeeded but continuing with quality of quantity. Don't burn your self out... Just the two cents of a random RU-vid subscriber.
Vet Tape. It can temporarily hold an arm in place if someone broke their collarbone and quick fix a KTM front light when you dump your bike. Just some of the things I’ve used it for.
For the Post-It users, please try out the FULL STICK version--instead of just one strip with adhesive the full back is covered except a narrow stip at the bottom by which to lift them. Extremely useful for leaving notes but also as temporary tape. Also, I think every car kit needs a flashlight.
Ello, govnah Your videos are less interesting lately They need to be simpler Hahaha This is insulting, and I am sorry What if you reshot or re-edited a cliff notes version of ANY video you have made before now? See how much fat you can trim Sorry for the “free” advice that likely cost you pride You are more talented than I at filmmaking, Van. I am making a documentary about someone you should admire but that you will not admire because of your worldview prejudice I made a documentary before that about someone I would expect you to admire, but I also expect your worldview prejudice would preclude your viewing the work of one as I am May you be my penpal? My second best penpal might have died a month ago… I also need a good penpal in the American northeast
Good kit! I keep a mtb multi tool in kits also. And head lamps in every vehicle. Roll of E tape. Roll of paper towels. Non potable water(can drink in extreme emergency) some honey packets cause your brain needs some sugar if stranded. Zip ties. Self sealing silicone tape for a bonus. Wooden dowel rod under back seat cause why not. Extra socks and flip flops stashed. Tire plugs in every car/truck + hand pump for bonus
If your car is newer than 2005 you ain’t fixing it!! HAHAHA (and wait 6 hours for aaa!!????) LOL my dad insist that you need to know your car and any single weird noice that It makes, he’s always been able to find a solution whenever the car breaks down!!
That wasn’t “Velcro®️” or any other brand of hook and loop material. (Head lock?) And, not a “charger”, a power adapter (the charging circuitry is in the phone).
If I can recommend one thing, it’s the Fiskars scissor sharpener. It takes nicks out of blades. I got mine at Staples many years ago, and I’ve sharpened and re-sharpened dozens of pairs of scissors, no wear on the sharpener.
Great informative videos. The backing track is a little too intense for my liking though, tending to stir up feelings of suspense. The particular brand/type of clear tape is important, but the music suggests it is a life or death decision.
van you are mainly helping your bro, mines broken rightnow! just wondered where you used clear tape, iguess i missed it,but stayed to theend.my brother is junkey, who knows stay tunned.
Every year I give my family themed gifts, usually for their cars since everyone drives and practicality is always welcomed. This coming Christmas, I’m using this video as a primer to create each family member their own center console kit. I’ll use really nice bags to upscale a little. Thanks for this. 😎👍🏼
I like your practical gift approach. I got eye rolls one year for giving my family good quality flashlights for their gloveboxes, but I'd bet they use that flashlight often! The gift that keeps giving! A tip for you since I have two kits in my car...the best kind of case opens by zipper around the perimeter...like a suitcase. No need to dump it all out on the car seat and risk losing an item between the seats. Simply select tool and put it all back, mine allows complete access (flip open lid) to any tool without dumping. Toiletry, makeup or "travel" cases sometimes come with this perimeter zipper design, and even some sturdier kids zipper lunch boxes work too.
@@canadude6401 great tip! Thx. Yeah same polite response with my family, but a year later they still comment on how they use the extendable, dual head snow removal/ice scrapers! Lol
Can you please make a vid on your kit for a motorcycle. I live in Vietnam use my dirtbike everyday and would love to learn how to fix it better! Love your channel, brother.
Can i suggest metal cable-ties. Put some in my tool box few years ago, have never needed them yet, but can imagine they could hold hot engine parts or exhaust etc in a bind. Its funny wishing for the day your car break so that you get to use them
Oh hey, for the string/cord, I use technora, stuff is amazing and for thinner thread type string, I use dyneema, both are super strong and resistant. Just a heads up if your unaware of them
You have all those needles, did you have thread? You might as well have some thread - it weighs nothing. Wrap a bunch around one of those pens if you want to save space.
If you live with a female who has long hair, you should probably throw some hair ties in that kit. You will always save the day with a hair tie. Rubber bands will not work for a hair tie. Ask anyone with long hair.
Love these videos! My EDC: 1 Victorinox Champ, 1 Leatherman P4, 1 Microtech Ultratech Bounty Hunter Edition, 1 Olight Warrior mini 2, 1 Fischer Bullet Space Pen, 1 Brass Zippo with jet insert. Maxpedetion 48 Once Nalgene water bottle holder with 3 Maxpedetion pouches attached containing 3.5 pounds of gear to similar to your set up. Enough to repair most anything within reason 🤣
