IDGAF if I only have two cases of water and ten cases of oodles of noodles….i will pay my RENT FIRST…..people have children and playing with the rent…..now she crying…..I would not sleep well if I owed RENT.
When you have received a notice to vacate by the courts that means your case is too far gone and you should start looking for a new place to rent... Don't you dare give your money to the landlord when you are thousands of dollars behind in rent payments because that landlord has the right to take your money and still have you evicted.
@@dcg590 Yeah they do not suppose to accept the money but they do... I was done like that 20 years ago where the landlord took the money from me during the eviction process and 2 days later the sheriff and the moving company was knocking on my door to evict me.
I was unsympathetic to this type of situation until I got sick and couldn't work for 4 months. I almost lost everything. The fact is, most people can't afford any hiccups in life. Live within your means and save your money.
I had the same thing happen to me hospitalized twice in the same year. I thank god I listened to my mom and didn’t get a expensive apartment. I lived where my rent was based on my income and took my hospital papers to the lease office and got my rent adjusted. When I went back to work I let them know. But I never lied or try not too pay. If you make arrangements make sure there documented and make the payments accordingly.
make sure you have an emergency fund that equals up to 6 months of your living expenses. You may have to work 2 jobs for a while to get that emergency fund established, but you'll be thankful you worked that second job for a few months to get that $$$ set aside for when those tough times come and they will !!!
They could but most folks just do the bare minimum and live well beyond their means. Ain't no way I'm goin thru life without at least 10k in the bank in today's economy.
I work on evictions in a law office. By the time a writ of possession is issued, the tenants would have been served personally 2 times by either a process server or the sheriff's office. They, in fact, do not fall out of the sky.
I know she was pissed at paying the money she owed not trying to find out what the real deal was and just assuming she'd get to stay there. She known she was going to get evicted, she wouldn't have paid what she owed. Watching these videos are cautionary tales to me.anyone can fall in a hard times. Edit: grammar

Why bring 4 babies into a already dire situation? Setting them up for a life of struggle. As a school teacher I’ve seen children in the classroom daily, hungry, depressed, angry and at the expense of the entire class.
I had a process server spend 3 hours knocking on the back door of a woman's house looking at her "asleep" through the bedroom window. She didn't "wake up" until the sheriff joined the process server.
I live on social security retirement and my rent is more than 50% of my monthly income but it's paid the first of the month without fail no matter what. I need a roof over my head.
So I guess you didn't hear when she said the lady told her to catch up, and that's what she has been doing all the while the lady was planning on putting her out anyway.
To your point, no politician could ever say this but... imagine how much worse our country would be if abortion wasn't legal? I don't mean to sound heartless or cavalier but right now, our society has a lot of people who are less than responsible. And if they had kids, that irresponsibility would most likely carry over to their children. We aren't Sweden with a 100% literacy rate and a homogeneous society and culture.
Why bring babies into a already dire situation? Setting them up for a life of struggle. As a school teacher I’ve seen children in the classroom daily, hungry, depressed, angry and at the expense of the entire class.
Who these women be having kids by?? I mean i just don't understand. It's no way as a man, i couldn let my child/children get put out. Even if the mother and I don't get along. No way i could let that happen. I would just let my kids live with me. Seeing the children really bring out the soft side of me. Their innocence is so heart-felt
Men back then were ruthless, like my grandfather was very grumpy and mean, but he worked hard, and his children never went hungry nor was never put on out. Although he had his ways, but as I get older, everything make sense
I don't understand how people can not pay rent for months. A roof over your head is important! There's no way they don't know they're being evicted 🤦♀️ this most definitely would be hell to go through.
full disclosure. i’ve been evicted before. i knew i was behind. i knew they were coming. however, i wasn’t lying in bed when they showed up. as a matter of fact, there was no longer a bed or anything left inside at that point.
Are you aware of the layoffs and crashing economy? There are multiple videos on every social media platforms of people not sure where they're gonna live or how they're going to make it.
To the people that’s judging her saying she was fake sleeping I don’t think you all know it’s a thing call tired deep sleep. The young lady just had a baby and probably just dosed off before he came. I am a very hard sleeper and at times I don’t hear nothing especially when Im very tired. Just had a baby and she is probably depressed all that plays a factor. Never judge someone about not paying rent or mortgage bc you never know when you maybe want be able to. Thank God I haven’t had to worry about paying rent or mortgage in the last decade bc my home is paid for only property taxes. I thank God daily🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🙏🏾
Yes, you are right anyone can experience a financial crisis but it's the response and lack of accountability that floors people. Acting like a victim all your life is not productive. When you know you owe past due rent you work as hard as you can to get out and work on clearing up your bills later. Anyone with a half of brain knows the free rent gravy train is going to run out of gravy one day. The story line is pretty much the same no money, no work, waiting on a man to come through, multiple children you can not afford, no husband and no common sense.

Well, I think legally a landlord can't take any rent once they start an eviction. It restarts the clock. This says 2017, maybe the rules changed during covid.
She didn’t wanna go anywhere else. She wanted to catch up on the rent when SHE got ready to, but that’s not how it works. You don’t get to tell someone when you’re going to pay what you owe them
If rent money from benefit service/insurance goes wrong direction repeating receiver could request to change receiver bank account number or system could put money in frozen so its save to re-routing later i wonder why no one never does that? it only needs 2 months+ no money wait and few failed contact attemps to get it on effect ofcourse legal process takes it more time so i gues this why simple just eviction is easier when money is gone already
No sympathy for renters that wait until eviction day before raising issues that should have been brought up on day one. Too late, too bad, so sad.......Being homeless is no joke, but you brought it on yourself, so don't expect pity from the sherrif.
The audacity of these people. They move into your place and refuse to pay rent while you still have to find money somewhere else to pay your bills. I had to sell my property just to get rid of this woman who refused to pay me rent for over a year. Shame on you freeloaders.
I've seen about a hundred of these videos. It never ceases to amaze me how they live so unrushed yet act so surprised about being evicted. You knew it was coming.
So basically, she's saying.... "You kept making me pay the money I owed. You should've told me you were kicking me out bc I wouldn't have given you any of it"
Rightfully so. It's business regardless. The tables can quickly turn if the tenant is taken to collections for the wrong amount. The money paid, if paid, has to be applied to the balance. The wise thing would be to not pay until there is a final bill. They can easily pocket YOUR MONEY and say you gave them nothing and you still be on the hook for the full amount, possibly more.
She shouldve taken that $1200 twards a new, much smaller place and made due, then dealt with the rent arrears. My heart goes out to her only because she is post partum, at home with what appears ro be an infant. Issue is people always blame the landlord for being the bad guy but the tax man wont wait on the landlords payment and the lawn company want to be paid, and the pest control wants to be paid, and the insurance guy wants to be paid and the mortgage needs to be paid. Cash flow starts from the bottom up.
Feel sorry for the child but she has created her situation through poor choices. She should probably stop having kids. Rules for success. 1 Finish high school 2 Don’t have kids outside of marriage 3 Work 4 Avoid credit as much as you can. It’s not a guarantee of success, but not following them will definitely be a huge challenge that greatly impacts your ability to succeed.
I don’t feel bad for her. She’s probably getting tons of tax payers dollars and she still doesn’t today. Free everything and doesn’t pay. I feel bad for the baby born into her mess
@terricaf4621 Right, looks like her boyfriend and her are supposed to pay full rent. People just don't understand others do struggle sometimes and the lady did say The boyfriend got a new job he started so it's not like he doesn't want to work and they were trying to pay sad situation all the way around.
She thinks the owner is an SOB for taking some rent money owed and still throwing her out. You OWED her that momey, she wasn't going to let you skate so you could have money for a new place. And how does she not freak out when she's sleeping and a strange man comes in and wakes her up without busting a cap in his ass.
The thing is she owed the 1200. Of course the owner would take it, they have bills to pay as well. I hate seeing stuff like this it’s sad for everyone involved
Better yet, get a job like the rest of us. These people are always sleeping during the day when they should be working. Then, the rent wouldn't be an issue.
My Mom manages a property that’s low income & literally had to evict ppl who were behind in rent for months like almost a year behind in payments. Rent is only like $40 & they won’t pay it imo they deserved to get evicted. It’s sad how many ppl just abuse landlords abuse the system & think they can go on without consequence. Pay your way like everyone else or be embarrassed by eviction 🤷🏽♀️ Personally if I knew i couldn’t pay I would just leave to save myself the embarrassment 😩
Those apartments are a little tricky though. The rent usually changes with your income. It may start out $40, and the second they start working it goes up. Many of them get trapped because even if your rent becomes $0 because you have no income, you still have to pay utilities and have cash for basic needs. It can be a little more to it than outright irresponsibility. Sometimes, not all of the time.
@@truelife974 but you would have to have cash for basic needs, as you said, but how do they do that with no income? If you get a job and rent goes up, they aint gonna take it all for rent, right? Why would a person be even renting if you have no income, because then you need utilities.
The ENTIRE time, she kept talking about some dude (or the kids father) just got a new job and they were going to pay. WELL, WHAT ABOUT YOUUUU & YOUR JOB MA'AM!?!?! ...sooo, you lay around allday depending on someone else to pay all the bills with FOUR kids!?!? ...that's one of the issues here!

"I got 4 kids..." Right! YOU got 4 kids that should never know what an eviction even is. Living in America isn't so hard if you work, budget, save, and pay your bills. Because when you file for eviction you are actually suing for a specific amount of money. If you take money outside of this you are no longer suing for that specific amount. Think of it this way, if you sign a lease that says your rent will be $1200 for six months. Come month 3 you get a notice on your door saying next month your rent will be $1550, would you pay? Hope this helps.
She didn’t listen! The money she paid was money she owed from living for free and not paying, they were due that money, that’s why they took it! Why would they let you take their funds elsewhere to move
I’m dumbfounded at guy walking in her house yelling “officer of court” several times and she don’t hear him?!!? Then wake up calmly to a strange man standing at your bed with your baby in there!!! I would’ve came up swinging! She was totally faking being asleep!
Oh girl was sleeping hard on Thursday, 8/10/2017 at 1PM and didn’t even flinch when a complete stranger wakes her up. You can tell this isn’t her first rodeo. And she recently had a 4th child knowing darn well she couldn’t afford the 3 she has and pay rent.
Some of these property managers are dirty. If they make a payment arrangement at office and the office agrees to the arrangement, make sure you record these people. No judgment here, people are struggling. One accident, one job loss or a long term illness can have anyone in a homeless situation.
I have gone through hard times, i am an addict in recover 10yrs sober and i am soooo blessed to say that i have never had to deal with an eviction. If i did, i would kindly move tf out. I coukd never be anywhere that im not wanted. I would rather stay at a shelter than occupy someones space & make them miss out on a chunk of income every month...nope!!
This lady done taking my money-girl, grammer is important. By the way, it's not someone taking your money (you owe for rent). It's nobody's fault that you got all them kids either, birth control works wonders.
I think I have heard of that channel. Instead of trying to be calm, he goes out of his way to stir up trouble. Not sure if that's the same channel I saw. I started watching it and turned it off just a few minutes later.
Evictions take MONTHS, and unfortunately and VERY unfairly, sometimes nine, ten months and even a year or more in some cases. All during this people who know how to "play" the game screw the landlords, "legally", out of thousands and thousands of dollars because they are living for FREE in some and really, most cases during the entire process. NONE of these people being put out are blindsided by it. They know full well what's happening and they've known for MONTHS this day was coming. I have ZERO sympathy for anyone who has to have a court officer come to a dwelling and physically put them out. All my sympathy is for the landlord who has to go through this bullshit and put low life people like this out and lose thousands of dollars. The money "they took" is money you owe lady. Life doesn't work like that. Just because you leave doesn't mean the MONTHS of unpaid rent goes away. It's called being an adult. Four kids? Where is the daddy???? Save the tears lady.
Not really, only takes three months, 1. to file in the county court by the Landlord, 2. wait for a CD-Court date, 3. go to court and then there is the court ordered eviction. 4. only 10 days to move out, 5. if not out within the 10 days, Sheriffs department will evict you, when they come, takes everything out.
Depends where you live at. In Kentucky, come the 7th there was a letter on your door. 15th you’re going to court. 10 days after that either y’all good or you’re moving out.
She keep saying that the landlord should have just told her to move and not take "her" money. Sweetie, that is the landlord money that you owe and they are trying to collect. Now they have to pay to get you out
You’re doing a great job for yourself and your landlord. Don’t be like these irresponsible renters who are screw overs. Stay on that path, and hopefully you’ll be able to purchase your first ever god safe haven home if our economy stabilizes in the future. More blessings to you. 💯
I used to always pay a bit extra and was 3 months ahead, and we were there for over 10 yrs. That 3 months ahead gave me a buffer in case we had an expensive vet bill or had to fly to see my sick dad in another state.
as a current landlord to all people on leases: WHERE YOU LIVE IS NOT FREE‼️ I REPEAT NOT FREE‼️ YOU ARE IN A LEASE CONTRACT THAT YOU SIGNED‼️ YOU ARE OBLIGATED TO PAY-WHERE-YOU LIVE NO MATTER YOUR SITUATION‼️ PAY YOUR RENT = NO ISSUES.
It’s fascinating to me how so many people always comment on these videos as if life can’t happen to ANYONE at ANY MOMENT! Thankfully, I’ve never been close to an eviction, but I’m sympathetic to the plight of others. We can be anything in the world; it’s best to be KIND. More Love.
Shelter is #1 priority. You may have to use candles, you may have to eat top ramen but you have a roof over your head. As a property manager in California for 10 years I can say 90% of evictions are due to non-payment. The other 10% are due to violations related to unauthorized occupants, etc. Never, ever jeopardize your shelter.
I wonder what is the mind set of someone who blames the courts, the postal service, the process server, etc. for their woes. Do they not realize they could be avoiding all this if they had paid their rent or negotiated with the landlord to break the lease and move to a less expensive setting? Granted, everyone is going through tough times and I respect people for putting forth their best efforts. Then we see a behind-in-rent tenant with all the bits and bobs that are trending, but leaving the landlord to swing in the wind for the rent. What a shame!!
A nightmare on elm street Freddy Krueger is back 😂and it ain’t freddy with the finger knifes either 😂 wow these people have got to get their priorities straight 😂
Lack of education and following old societal rules causes some to believe once pregnant they have to keep the child while not fully understanding sex ed. I use to work in public health even the 40 yr olds don't understand safe sex and most just get stuck once they do get accidently knocked up
@UpWitsEnd Poor people may not have money, but they recognize it and know how to spend it when they do. Wild animals instinctively know that mating leads to new animals. They know that unprotected sex can lead to pregnancy, they don't care. This is what happens when the government hands people things they should be earning themselves. When people are treated as helpless and stupid, that's exactly how they'll act.
Because there's no expectation that they will be responsible. When the government is acting like a lackadaisical parent who gives their children whatever they want without expectation or consequences, you end up with adults who act like spoiled, irresponsible children.

At the end of the day it's still business. Let's apply your logic to a different situation. Say you got an electric bill for $500 and it said due within 10 days or you will be cut off. Currently we are in the summer months with highs in the 100's. You won't have the full $500 in that time but you can setup a payment arrangement to prevent disconnection. They say just pay $125 now and pay the rest in installments. You happily pay your last $125 only to come home from work the next day and your lights are off. You call customer service to see what's wrong and they say, "Yeah, I see that you paid but you still owe us $475 and an additional $100 for reconnect fee. We just took the $125 because you owed it to us.". That's what you would call bad business.
@@truelife974Like you said. At the end of the day it's business for the electric company. Instead of learning from your mistake you just repeated it over again 🙄😒.
In most states I have lived in, if the owner accepts any money after the eviction notice has been served, the eviction is stopped. You either can pay the full amount, or they can't accept a partial payment without it nullifying the eviction. I've seen people exploit that loophole by promising to pay in full, and getting the landlord to accept a partial payment, then they have to start all over.
lesson for everybody, once they start the eviction process, move out as soon as possible, don't pay anything more to them because at this point, they want you gone. use that money to leave immediately...
