Alanda wanting nothing but the best for a character and wanting to protect them, not knowing about what's to come is the worst thing ever. Like I really wanted to warn her the whole time.
At least the lead girl survived but still such a frustrating experience I was screaming at the movie throughout if all the characters weren't so dumb then it would've been a better experience
I’m not comfortable with calling a 12 yr old an incel. like I do not expect 12 yr olds to be having sex. That’s crazy. I was shocked Alanda said it too 😱😂😂😜🤷🏾♂️👍🏾
@@B-Dad Just a buzz word ppl tend to over use now a days without really even knowing the definition. ppl throw it around like "Woke" or whatever "phobe" is trendy to say, just devalues it tbh
@@fauxrowsdower7610 He’s a creep and psychotic and a sexual deviant. But incel isn’t the word for it. I’m not standing up for the kid or incels but calling a 12 yr old that is the same as high school boys making fun of someone for not having sex. He’s 12. But it’s whatever. The movie isn’t good enough to argue over 😂😂👍🏾✌🏾
I can’t stand movies like this either. I’m fully with Alanda on this one. She said everything I felt. The amount of frustration I feel is unnecessary when it comes to sociopath villains like this one. I don’t remember the title of the book I read years ago but it had a similar villain and I was so frustrated by them not ever being held accountable for their disgusting behaviour.
I was ready for this one! Can't even. That twist took me out when I saw this the first time. A perfect example of f*ck them kids. Merry Christmas! Thanks for all the enjoyment you've given me this year. Means the world ❤️💚
Alanda: 5:19 "He is precious. Adorable". ❤️😊❤️ Me: 3, 2, 1, go 😑 Also Alanda: 17:08 - 36:48, 39:50 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 Remember when I said that "It follows" could be the most enraged and pissed off Alanda has ever been? Well, ladies and gentlemen, the record has been beat. 😅 P.S. Merry Christmas, Alanda! 🎄⛄🤘🎁 Thanks for all of the laughs and great times throughout this year. If you're still in need for a more let's say "satisfying" end to the year, I highly suggest you check out "P2" (2007). P2 is a similar Christmas hostage concept except it takes place in a parking garage. Believe me when I say that one is more up your alley and it's a very underrated Christmas horror film. 🍿😎👍
Merry Christmas, Alanda! As for this movie, my experience with this film was pure anger. As David would say: "This kid so bad not even Chucky would want to play with him!" I wanted to see Luke get destroyed. A child worthy of Freddy Krueger's blades.I wanted him to get put in one of Jigsaw's traps. I did not realize Garret and Ashley played brother and sister in the movie THE VISIT until halfway into this movie it clicked in my head that was where I had seen them before. I sure do hope the next film you watch brings you some much needed joy, cause this movie was so stressful.
I think we’ve got a good scale for Alanda recommendations now. Satisfying to Unsatisfying. You’re Next and New Nightmare, to Talk to Me and Better Watch Out. More final girls and fun/non stupid characters, less gratuitous cruelty and dumb decisions. Take heed this holiday season, recommenders! Merry Christmas to all, and to you Alanda 🎁❤️✨✨🎄 P.S. Them kids are writhing in the pits of hell. Better Watch Out has been on my shitlist since day one. I think I’ll recommend Tragedy Girls to smooth this one over.
Olivia DeJonge and Ed Oxenbould (Garret) also starred together as siblings in The Visit (2015). Have a merry Christmas Alanda. Thanks for alyour wonderful reactions this year.
I've always been upset that this didn't get a Halloween 2 type sequel. Ashley would have the upper hand at the hospital, cause stab wounds don't matter to a final girl lol. Luke can't plan things the hospital, and would be more likely to fuck up. They could have gave us the Luke beat down we deserved!
I imagine the police collect him in the morning because they actually investigate the crime scene of a multiple homicide and find all the evidence he hasn't cleared up.
Based from the title of the video, I thought it was gonna be like a monster or some kind of demon like Krampus. But no, it was much more... human than I thought it was gonna be. I didn't expect that it was gonna be 12 year olds killing folks. With the main one being so sick in the head! And yes, the older characters are so dumb too. This movie was wild.
But also I never thought that he ends up killing her at the hospital. I never thought he was gonna get away with it. I hoped not. Lol! But scenes like that with the killer trying to finish the survivor off at the hospital doesn't always work out. I figured it'd end up like Scream 4 with the kid finally getting killed by her or just finally stopped.
It was hilarious to me when he got really upset and his little voice broke and went super high for a second. Like when he pushes his frined and yells "Shut up!"
I am so happy you finally got around to watching this! This is a perfect Christmas gift from you to me! Already knowing what happened and viewing your reaction, all the while I'm saying to myself, "just wait," or "you won't feel the same way about him later," was giving me life. Wishing you and your family the happiest of holidays. Thank you for always making my days a little brighter with your content! ❤️
Omg you are like my bestie I'm my head.....And your videos are helping me with my Holiday Depression...PLEASE KEEP them coming. Wish it's a way for us too interact more with you ❤ Merry Christmas & Happy Holidays & Happy New Year
I got COVID for Christmas, so an outrageous movie watch with Alanda is some of the best entertainment I can have by my lonesome during this miserable week!
I know exactly how this feels cause it was me last year! I hope you get better soon and today passes quickly for you!! Eat well even if nothing tastes good and try to only watch fun stuff 💛💛💛
Merry xmas! I JUST watched this movie and honestly it gagged me. The twist was twistinggg. That babysitter was better than me tho because i would have ended both those demon tweens lives for putting me thru all that shit.
I think I liked the movie more before the twist. And I hate how at the end he doesn’t get anything he has coming to him. It’s implied. But technically it’s also implied that he wins and goes to the hospital to finish the job.
I remember when I first saw this movie, was so happily surprised. thought it was gonna be a cheesy flick, but I ended up loving it and it became one of my favorites!
Not sure if you've already seen it, but a great 90s thriller similar to this is The Good Son with baby Macauly Culkin and Elijah Woods. It is less infuriating than this one and it has that 90s vibe that is very comforting.
Thanks for another great video, Alanda. I was not expecting to like this movie as much as I did. Completely took me by surprise. So did that twist lol. Hope you and your family have a safe and happy holidays. 🎄❤❄
Hello and Merry Christmas Alanda and everyone ! May this day be festive whatever your religion (or if you don't even celebrate it), don't drink if you drive afterwards and good luck to those who are alone today !
My parents had a huge fight and we ended up going to our Christmas party with family so this wasn't the best Christmas but your videos made my day. #1 fav commentary.
I know so many people who love this film. I've actually watched it twice thinking maybe I was too hard on it the first time. Nope. Both viewings ended with me genuinely angry and upset, cursing at the screen. Glad to see someone else with the same response.
I megaloled at Alanda calling Jeremy 30, Dacre Montgomery was barely 20 when they shot this movie, but the SECOND he lost his teenage baby weight he's looked AT MINIMUM 25 😆
Honestly this is my favorite reaction to this movie. I am ALWAYS so excited when you upload, like every single time... but I gotta admit when I saw this in my feed for a moment I was like "Aww man this movie? ...Imma still watch 'cos its my girl but ugh." But you and I feel the exact same way and I felt vindicated lol, and you were hilarious as always. I'm not saying this movie was poorly crafted or anything at all, its just NOT for me 'cos it makes me sooooo upset. I hope you had an amazing Christmas tho! Thanks for adding extra joy to my day as usual
I’ve never heard a damn word about this movie but you can bet your ass that I’m gonna watch Alanda react to it! I mean… why wouldn’t I? Do I hate laughing out loud? Do I hate being thoroughly entertained? lol.
Maybe it's the next one you're about to watch. Maybe you've already seen it. But if not, maybe for next Christmas. Have you seen GREMLINS? One of the best holiday horror films of all-time?
I remember watching this movie and thinking it would have been more interesting if they fast-forwarded to them as adults and played this scenario out that way. She finds out he had a crush on her when she was his babysitter, and he's just been obsessed since then, blah blah blah... Instead of goofy demon children.
I’m sad you didn’t like it. I loved it! The twist of the kids actually being psycho and having never seen anything like it. Justice in the end bc I think she’ll speak and he’s done for. Prison won’t be nice to that cute boy.
Ooh I am so excited. Knowing you the way I do after a few years of watching your reactions makes me very excited to see your take on this film. :) Also, it's Christmas morning, and I am alone, but this makes it a LOT more happy!! Happy Christmas, Alanda
Merry Christmas to you Alanda & for everyone here. Praying you all are having an amazing, blessed & wholesome holiday. Only a few more days until the new years so let’s prepare for joy, peace, love & endless blessings. BRING OUT THE COQUITO ❤️🎄
you and zzavid’s reaction to this movie had me CRYINGG! Y’all gotta do a collab one day. This whole movie is crazy, I was so pissed that Luke went UNTOUCHED in this movie like he needed that ass beat.
❤❤❤❤❤ MERRY CHRISTMAS! Thank You for being so WONDERFUL & genuinely DELIGHTFUL movie after movie! You always create such a warm & welcoming (re) viewing such a wide variety of movies. I was laid up in the hospital for over 2 months when I finally found your channel. I spent days & days finding all of these thoughtful/ insightful watch-alongs & now I am absolutely a permanent fan! Keep making movies BETTER & every day BRIGHTER! :)
Alanda i dont know if you listen to podcasts but Horror Queers covered this film like 2 years ago and they had a guest and she STRONGLY hated this film and if you are looking for an interesting discussion on the film then i recommend that episode. Happy holidays and great video as ever
Merry christmas!! Thank you so much for a lovely year of videos. I watch your videos relgiously and re-watch a lot too. You're my absolute light in the year and I look forward to next year with you! (set up or a patreon/ko-fi or something
Thank you for a fun year of videos Alanda! I figured you would not be crazy about this one; I'm sorry you had to watch it but thank you for being still so entertaining and funny and just such a light of pure joy. I always look forward to your videos and I am excited for the next one. Hopefully it gets you some Christmas joy!
just watched this the other day and i loved the costume design - the boy wears the blue checkered shirt that the killer always wears in scream, and the girl has the same outfit as casey becker from the scream 1996 opening :)
Oh thank God! I adored this movie when I watched it for the first time last year and I’ve been just praying for you to react to it this year and here we are 🖤🎄❤
She's awake. She'd tell what happened, and he and his mom probably wouldn't even make it to the hospital. Even if he did, he'd be arrested on the spot lmao. And if she passed out and couldn't tell, she'd go into surgery and likely wouldn't be alone for him to do anything afterward. What's he gonna do? Unplug something? The nurses would know right away. Stab her? Nurses would know as soon as her heart rate started to fall. Basically, he's screwed no matter what. Sometimes movies have bleak endings, but I'd say this isn't even one of them because of logic. She's alive. There's no way he gets out unscathed.
Merry Christmas, Alanda, my dear. Christmas is a very rough time of year for me, but this isn't about me. Christmas horror is always haunting and this movie was no exception to this. I don't know if you habe watched Gremlins or Gremlins 2. Gremlins is considered a Christmas movie of sorts, as it occurs during Christmas.
"He is precious. He is adorable" literally famous last words. As a recommendation I really think you should watch ' THANKSGIVING' it's a pretty New movie but it's SO good and it is a horror movie and has a twist I did not expect.
This movie was filmed in Sydney, Australia. All of the actors are Australian except the parents. The crew had to make it look like winter for the whole street pretty much since it doesn't snow like that there
