It's inspiring. The passion for photography and the love for his wife.

This may sound odd but, I feel that Harry Callahan has giving me permission to carry on photographing what I want to photograph, no matter what the subject is. Far too many 'pro' photographers today tell you you have to focus on one style, one genre, one technique, one subject matter. Thank you as ever for another great video.

I find staying local allows me to explore my photography more because I know I can always go back when I want. I don't feel the pressure of the portfolio shot that a trip to somewhere I might only go once or twice would impose.

How fresh and beautiful the images of his wife are. Just simply beautifuly shot. So tasteful and unique. I LOVE the creativity between the two.

Thought provoking idea. As a landscape and wildlife photographer, the hunt for something different to photograph has been a constant difficulty. The idea to photograph the same subject, but add different techniques, not just seasons, is giving me ideas. Thank you very much for the efforts you put in to help photographers improve their own creativity, by giving us examples of how others have achieved it in the past. Keep up your excellent work.

As someone who loves to photoshoot landscapes, the rising price of gas along with the higher cost of food leaving less for gas, I've been forced to mainly stay with the local scenic areas this last year or so. Finding new pictures in the same places has been very challenging but I think it's increasing my creativity.

It totally does. I’ll bet if you look around you with fresh eyes, you’ll find something that you never noticed before. Where are you watching from?

I have just finished a One Year Project where I made a Selfie of myself every Day, 365 Days. It was hard and more than once I wanted to quit this, because I 2hat nothing left to shoot", so to peak. But 15 Year is outstanding and really inspiring, I can only imagine the dedication one must have to do such a long commitment.

Hi Alex. I'm so glad you made this video. They always talk about your own niche. You have to specialize in one way of working. Your work must be recognizable. And then Mr. Harry Callahan comes and says; if you get bored with one way of shooting just take another way. As it were, I like to photograph still life, but when I'm tired of those then I just go into the woods and see what can be photographed there. This is a great attitude very liberating and very educational for me. Thank you for the work you put into it, Alex. Antoine.

This video came Just at the right time for me. Currently im struggeling a lot what to photograph, what is even worth to be photographed? Beside my two little girls there is nothing that makes me so exited to take a photograph of.. and in my mind there is some sort of gatekeeper which holds me back. So thank you for this freeing Video Alex!

Ask yourself what/who are you photographing for? If it’s just your girls that interest you - there’s nothing wrong with that. Just photograph them.

Just photograph anything that feels fun? If it's just your kids that's fine too

Just keep photographing your kids. They are the most important thing in your life (or should be). There'll come a time when they don't want to hang around their old Dad, with lives of their own.

I photographed my children for the last 25 years. Is it the same? 😂 definitely not! Thanks to your video a few weeks ago about the square format, I've changed on my phone to 1:1 and I'm rediscovering that great format, also I only used Hasselblad at school or when using my 4x5 camera.

Inspiring work. I wonder what he’d be like in the days of digital? The ‘problem’ with digital is that you can take a million photos with no real cost. Back in this guys era, it was only film with the associated development time and cost. Would he have taken a billion iPhone photos that nobody really cares about or sees ever again? Curation is an important aspect of modern photography…
