Yes, the school bus at the end of Yet To Come was a reference to their No More Dream music video, their very first music video. Happy 10 year anniversary to No More Dream. BTS roots as a group was hip hop but over time their music evolved to include a variety of genres and I think they just became more comfortable being themselves instead of trying portray a certain image. You're right Save Me was a 1 take video.
@@amberpearce710 I know but the bus is a reference to No More Dream but the sitting arrangement is of Spring Day I wasn’t trying to spoil anything I wanted him to find out as he goes through the discography
26:12 the easiest way; he (Jin) made a deal with the devil (V). Kissing the devil means to make a deal with him (you seal it with a kiss) and black ripped wings show that he’s (V) a devil. He lured him into it as well. The whole MV talks about evil things. The lore is based upon a book, but this is the shortest explanation
Don't worry about pausing or anything else. This is your journey. We are just along for the ride and enjoyment of watching you discover the growth and awesomeness of our boys. Love, Tammi from Texas.💜
Blood, Sweat & Tears: In the BTS live stream for this album (Wings) launch, they told ARMY that the theme was temptation. Specifically, they used the book, Demian by Herman Hesse, as inspiration. There’s a ton to unpack from the video and I would suggest you watch “Blood, Sweat & Tears: What does it all mean” by the channel Don’t worry I’m not afraid. You will have a whole new appreciation for their artistry after seeing exactly how deep this song/video is. Not Today: The song is based on Martin Luther King, Jr’s “If you can’t fly then run, if you can’t run then walk, if you can’t walk then crawl, but whatever you do you have to keep moving forward.” Borahae 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
J-HOPE’s VERSE NEVER DISAPPOINTS!!! One of my favs are from their song called LIKE!!! You NEED TO LISTEN TO IT!!!!! You’ll love it, especially the other members voices too!!!!🤍🫶🏽
There are other 2 members that i don't think you can recognize them so well (they're probably the main characters in the BU/storyline). first one is V the one with the blue hair in boy with love and the fluffy perm in ON and the green suit in dynamite (the cool one) he has the biggest eyes and a deeper voice than the other vocalists he's usually dancing in the front line . Jin is the one with the pink hair in blood sweat and tears and the one who sang "you're 1 you're 2" in boy with love . He has a high pitched voice sometimes gets mixed up with Jimin's voice he has thick lips tall and he's usually at the back of dance formations as a wing . Hope this helped you
love the reaction! but just wanted to say that about 99.99% of bts's videos are available with english subtitles on youtube!! for their older stuff, bighit didn't have captions. so there are a bunch of youtube channels that upload them (unofficially) along with eng subtitles. it can be music videos, interviews, behind the scenes etc. so you don't have to bring up another screen for the subs! 💜 a channel that used to do the non-music video subs is "Bangtan Subs" and a channel that does a lot of live performances with subs is "Enjoy BTS more" (i think they also did the BTS music videos)
@@brochiachekpop In the early years they also uploaded their official MVs to the channel 1 the K and they do include CC. That way you can still watch the official MV, it's just on a different channel.
it's crazy and funny to see how the video started with the reaction of no more dream when they were all dark and hip hop style and it actually ended with the reaction of dynamite where they were all pastel, love, fireworks and shining through the city with a little funk and soul lmao my babies grew up so much
Blood, Sweat and Tears is based on "Demian", written by Herman Hesse. It is about falling to temptation. Because of that, as a fallen angel, V has lost his wings.
I'll explain it BS&T: - The album Wings deals with themes related to the transition from adolescent to adulthood. Blood Sweat and Tears, as the title track, summarizes the central topics of the album: temptation, the loss of innocence, the moral dilema of having to decide by yourself which path (actions, people) are good or bad and eventually coming to understand that there is potential for both good and bad in every person. That's why the lyrics talk about lust/sexual desire, toxic romance/heartbreak, greed, alcohool consumption, and the scenes/dance moves make references to kinks (chocking/covering your eyes, temperature play, etc): because things such as obsessive relationship dynamics, addictions and death tend to happen when we lose complete control of our emotions, seek pleasure indiscriminately without respecting boundaries and taking care of your body, or if you become consumed by ambition/greed without consideration of any risk or any other person, etc. (These images also show biblical sins in general). - The song is inspired by a classic novel called "Demian" by Hermann Hesse (it's common for schools to make you read this book). Demian tells the story of how a boy (Emil Sinclair) gets corrupted as he grows into an adult, mostly because of a new friend/mentor (Max Demian) who is a "bad influence" on him... This process starts from the moment in which the boy says his first lie and starts questioning God, he also has mommy issues... Anyways, it's an exploration of human nature, the process of maduration and religious/philosophical/psychological topics. - The music video uses a big amount of biblical references and symbolism, in order to represent these topcis of temptation, because that's a theme on the Bible too (how humanity was corrupted and expelled from paradise/Eden). Most likely, Jin is losely portraying Emil Sinclair's internal journey... And him kissing the statue of an angel with black wings (fallen angel) represents him making a deal with the devil (which is an analogy for getting corrupted/losing the innocence all children have, as you become an adult. V is probably a demon here. - The sentence above the painting is a quote (in German) by Friedrich Nietzsche, it translates to: “One must still have chaos in oneself to be able to give birth to a dancing star.” Namjoon explained behind the scenes the importance of this phrase, but I don't remember what he said... I guess it's about emphasizing how necessary it is to comfront your own inner turmoil, contradictory feelings and inner demons, in order to mature as a person and also as an artist. He has quoted this philosopher in some other songs too. - There's a lot of famous recognizable art pieces on this video, but you can find videos/forums analysing the references in the internet, ARMYs have discussed this song/video a lot so it's probably easy to find a detailed explanation of the symbolism.
I’ll add to what other ARMYs have said to help you in future locate MV with English subtitles. In BTS’s earliest days up until 2015 many of their official MVs were released on 1theK RU-vid channel with English subtitles so as to reach a wider audience. So I’d search for the song title + 1theK to find it. We really like that lyrics are important to you and hope this information helps you Enjoy BTS More (also a great source!)
Omg you should react to all the bts members solos! Jimin- like crazy and set me free J-hope- arson, chicken noodle soup, and more Agust d- haegum, amygadla, and shadow rm- wildflower, still life, and indigo Jin- the astronaut
@brochiache yeah there is a behind the scenes video of it showing how they made it. it was crazy. it was raining and cold too. they worked their butts off for it
It might be the other way around...' Yet to come' may be a reference to this one as this ' No More Dreams' as it is the debut song. The nice thing is that if you so desire, you can watch BTS's MV all the way from beginning to now and see how much they have grown! They didn't just suddenly get to where they are. They worked it all the way up! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
You pick up on so much!! I always enjoy your reactions 💜 I think you'd really enjoy the making of for Save Me, it was indeed a one shot 👍: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-PebgoCokVcI.html
You can put the lyrics up in English with the CC at the bottom- you've got them on but it's in Hangul- it can be English. Check your settings. I find it really impressive that "Save Me" is all one take. The camera work is phenomenal.
Bts is amazing....Namjoon, Jungkook, Jimin, Jhope, Suga, Taehyung, Jin as better as one(Meaning all together). It would be fun for you some time in the future to react to Bts solo songs. That would be fun to watch. They are truly amazing at what they do. And Happy 10 Year Anniversary BTS. Hope the 7 kings are doing well and they are healthy.
BTS has shown that they have a wide music catalogue, they don't stay stuck in a single genre, they like to try new things, they are versatile. I recommend that you listen to Cypher pt. 3 and pt. 4, they are great, I also recommend them as soloists!
30:18 that's what gote into bts - their rap is smooth and natural, it's who they are, and it's smooth transitions from rap to singing and back. That is also to insane versatility or rapline who can rap over any type of track
I enjoy your shocking face whe you watched the no more dream mv the most 😂 because I'm an ARMY when this MV out, so I didn't as shock as you for their changed concept
I actually love it when reactors stop and search for information or lyrics while reacting, so no worries about that. To me it's instant gratification to see you get the info, and it shows interest that you were actually curious and wanted to know! Thanks for being so genuine. I've been really loving watching your reactions to BTS.
There is a version of this video out with English subtitles. Whenever you need to find that type of thing just do the search for the song title, then English. The final video for Save Me is in fact a one-shot. If you watch the making of video you'll see they had several takes but ultimately got the final video in one shot.

*No More Dream* - Yes, the bus was a reference in the Yet To Come Music video, but the way they were sitting in the bus in Yet To Come was a direct reenactment of the scene from the Spring Day Music video, when they were together sitting on the train. Also, there is a version with English subtitles. You just have to put No More Dream Eng. subs in the search feature, and it will come up. ARMY's add subtitles where there aren't any. *Save Me* - Yes, it was a one take video. They practiced it many times until they got it right, in the rain, and they worked really hard. There is a behind the scenes. Here is the Behind the scenes with English subtitles. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-PebgoCokVcI.htmlsi=j24Xif0s165YZB0N *Blood, Sweat, and Tears* - can be confusing. Unless you've read Demian and Nietzsche , you probably would need to get an explanation. This is what ARMY's thrive on. The deep lyricism and meanings behind BTS's songs. At least most ARMY's. You have to if you want to understand their discography. The storyline is a part of this era, here is an explanation video. Please react to it. Blood, Sweat, and Tears Explained - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-5tlgAUE6yjg.htmlsi=zf0Vkzx2YPtiH_TJ *NOT TODAY* - I love this song, it's an anthem for the Underdogs of the world. The term Crow-tit, means Try Hard, or Underdog. Korean crow-tit is a small bird, also known as parrotbill. It is a metaphor for someone with no privilege (opposite of those born with silver spoon in their mouth). “If a Parrotbill walks like a Stork, it will tear its legs.” The phrase means, “if you’re not born with ability/privilege, you should know your place.” Korean culture is at times strange. in that they will look down at you if you start low, saying you’ll never succeed no matter how hard you try. Then they will turn around and say that you’re failing because you’re not trying hard enough (instead of trying to level the inequality so that efforts pay off). You really can’t win. So BTS are talking to those people, and yes, they are also talking to ARMY's of their generation. This is something that they are familiar with, and have experienced themselves. *Dynamite* - ARMY's won't click off for Dynamite. BTS put this song out to cheer up their fanbase during the pandemic. We love this song for what it is. The problem is that many reactors will watch this song and assume that BTS are just a poppy boy band. But you know different, so why wouldn't we watch it with you. They wanted to reach a broader audience and give people a feel good song during the pandemic. And that is exactly what we needed. Here is a good video you might want to check out from Boracity Magazine. She's really good at video essays and research. She writes on mostly BTS topics, but covers issues in relation to BTS and the music industry, in Korea and the West. I'll link it for you. The video is basically BTS's discography for Chapter 1 of their career, and it tells their story. She does an amazing job. It is a 1 hour video, but it's so worth it. You will see what I mean. An introduction to BTS' discography (from chapter one) by Boracity Magazine - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-JEM5rRjq7kc.htmlsi=_98ylL9AudSN8G1U
BS&T is **not** about making a deal with the Christian devil. It uses religious symbolism, but not limited to Christian. It also uses Greek and others. What it is about is growing up. It’s about how you have to let go of the innocence of childhood and embrace both the dark and the light in order to become a fully realized adult person. In the end, Jin is cracking because the shell of his childhood is cracking like an egg and his adult self is being born.
So about the blood sweat and tears MV and story : To make a deal with the devil is to kiss the devil . So Jin basically made a deal with tae (a ‘fallen angel’) to turn back time because his other members were losing themselves into temptation (apples for sin (Adam and eve ) , the Icarus and Daedalus reference about ignorance and the shooting arrow wich refers to a psalm about betrayal). This caused the statue to bleed trough the eye . A weeping angel is a monster who can send others back in time wich caused the whole wings theory about time traveling . Tae is somewhat the statue because when weeping angels look at each other or are seen by any other living being they turn to stone , wich means tae turned into stone when noticed by Jin . Jin kissed ‘statue tae’ and Right after Jin sealed the deal, his face began to crack. I think when you seal or make a deal with the devil , the price to pay him back is twice , thrice or even more wich becomes self-destructive I hope that helps
Yes, the bus in Yet to Come is a reference to their first video but how they were sitting on the bus in Yet to Come is exactly how they sat on the train in Spring Day
Save me is a One Shot, not a One Take. Yes, it’s a single shot and single take that we see, but they did do multiple takes and chose the one they wanted to use.
The old BTS sound esp during 2013 to 2016 were so UNDERATED!!!..I know that later on released really stablished them & I really love those too..but seriously.. their music until Young Forever era is what made me love them so much.. I think HYYH was still my most fave era of them..& Dark & Wild (Skool Luv Affair too!!!) is still my ult album...I wish you will get to check those era.. I'm absolutely excited for you..
Thanks for being open minded to watching these videos!! I was late to the BTS world and totally regret that I wasn’t open to listening to them years ago!!! I may have made it to a concert before their hiatus!! But better late than never!! 🫰🏻💜🫰🏻
I have a feeling jhope is your bias lol plss check out someof his solo work!!💜 my personal favs are EGO, Arson, AirPlane,Equal sign & Baseline. Ty in advance & for the reactions 💜💜
you should react to XG, i think you’ll really like them! they’re a japanese gg, consisting of 7 members (aiming to be Global), 4 rappers and 3 vocalists (though they can all sing), and 7 dancers, they debuted on March 18, 2022. i recommend 'Left Right' and 'Shooting Star' as its their latest comebacks but they’re debut songs are great as well (tippy toes & mascara). they also have a Xypher (Tape #2, and Tape #3-A, 3-B) which shows their rap skills, and gained them some attention in the US ❤😊pls i love them
@@brochiachekpopBoy “IN” luv. Not Boy “With” Luv, which is with Halsey. Two different songs hun. BTS does this with a lot of their song titles. Little differences but very different songs and videos.
