The Evolution of a Beloved Magic Kingdom Classic Attraction: Walt Disney's Carousel of Progress 

Great video the carousel progress is one of my favorite attractions because it’s rich history and the fact that it was one of the few last things Walt Disney had worked on. I really appreciate the care that went into making attraction. The music is amazing and I use this music for different things like studying and just on road trips, listening to the soundtrack and the music of the attraction. I just want to say this is a great video and that I love your work and that you should definitely do more of these and especially in America sings once since the 50th anniversary is coming up this July

Now I should say the carousel of progress is a good Disney attraction show, and is a definite and real classic. I can't believe that the attraction is still in the Magic Kingdom still in the Tomorrowland area today, nowadays the Magic Kingdoms's Tomorrowland is about space aliens, monsters from another world but they believe in technology and and want to help shape up the future. In the area is also about astronauts, anthropomorphic robots. As well as cyberspace because of Tron light cycle run, and the main theme of Tomorrowland is outer space. Everything throughout Tomorrowland in the Magic Kingdom is pure science fiction and technology. And now that I think of it, I think the carousel of progress doesn't fit with all of those ideas in Tomorrowland in the Magic Kingdom. And so I think the attraction should be replaced, however I still want the attraction to still exist. And define a brand new and permanent home, at first I thought of Disneyland. But however I rather have Disneyland's Tomorrowland to be pure science fiction and technology as well, and have the main theme of outer space to be the symbol of Disneyland's Tomorrowland at the same time. I believe the carousel of progress belongs in a world's fair environment, and obviously in Walt Disney World Epcot is the one. When Epcot opens since 1982 I found out a lot of people said that the entire theme park is a world's fair, and basically it's true. And I say Epcot is still a World's Fair, to me it's a world's fair theme park and described by those from Disney. Including former Disney imagineer Marty Sklar I remember he described this when I saw it from Modern marvels Walt Disney World documentary, Marty said Epcot is a permanent world's fair. And that's absolutely true, because today there is no more New York world's fair. And I believe there are no more world's fairs around the world, I really do believe they come at first and now they're gone. Although I don't know if a few of them still exists, let me know what they reply for this comment. But anyway Epcot is definitely a permanent world's fair, it's here to stay. And it is also a theme park as part of Walt Disney World. And obviously Epcot will live on forever, as long as it's at Walt Disney World. And one thing for sure if a brand new Disney Vacation Resort gets created, I hope they can try to create and build a second Epcot theme park. There was supposed to be one for the Disneyland Resort originally, it was supposed to be called Westcot but the project was shelved and canceled. And so basically we got Disney California Adventure instead. One thing for sure I hope a second Epcot theme park can be a possible idea for Paris Disney Resort, I also hope a third one could also be possible for Tokyo Disney Resort and maybe a fourth one for Shanghai Disney Resort. But anyway Epcot I believe is the only world's fair that exists today almost in the center of Walt Disney World, and it's a permanent world's fair theme park nonetheless. So anyway I think the carousel of progress should move and find a new home in Epcot at Walt Disney World. At first there were two theme areas of the theme park, originally it was future world and world showcase. However they changed future world to become world discovery, world nature and world celebration. However I wish they could have just renamed future world as World Technology, because to me that makes more sense. It should have been called World Showcase and World technology for Epcot today. So anyway because they have torn down which was formerly communicator and innovations west, in the center of that area is known as world celebration. Obviously I can tell there is one more room for a new attraction, and one more space for that area. So I think the carousel of progress should be added to that area of Epcot. And so I think the carousel of progress should be kept alive forever and American progress and electricity should be showcased for World Celebration in Epcot, and to me that is a perfect theme and fit for world celebration. Because if they put the carousel of progress in that area, that attraction will celebrate American progress and electricity from the turn of the century to the present day or today. And to me that is a big celebrationfor the area itself, because it's called World Celebration in Epcot. And even though universe of energy, horizons, world of motion and the living seas those 4 former Epcot attractions are sadly gone and sadly missed by Epcot fans as well as Walt Disney World fans. Spaceship earth still exists as the main symbol of epcot, and the main entrance of the permanent world's fair theme park. That attraction still tells history of how the world has changed through the years, and they mention technology and modernization today at the end of the attraction. And of course listen to the land or living with the land still exist in the land pavilion, which I believe tells history and the origins of plants and farming. If those two attractions really stick to those things and stories, and of course there are big fans of those attractions. And the fans keep them alive, and they have those attractions to be passed to a new generation. If those two attractions are kept alive because of the fans, and are true Epcot classics and day one attractions. Then I think the carousel of progress should be the new edition for Epcot, and I believe that attraction should become an Epcot classic for its later life. Or should I say New Life. So that way the carousel of progress the attraction itself as more of a world's fair type attraction and creation, the attraction definitely belongs in a permanent world's fair and should move to Epcot. And above all I think it makes sense for the carousel of progress to be part of Epcot, because originally the attraction started from the New York world's fair. And was one of the popular attractions for the New York world's fair. Oh and someday I think they should have a second floor level for the attraction like how it used to be from the New York world's Fair when it first started, and when it used to be at Disneyland. However I think having the attraction as a complete pavilion should be better with three floors, because with the attraction having three floors. Disney imagineers can obviously create some brand new ideas to be post shows for the carousel of progress, after when the guests see the entire show. And above all, if the attraction grows into a three-story attraction for Epcot, it would be a complete pavilion. And I think it would be cool that they should use the name progress land again, or they should call it the progress pavilion. I love the carousel of progress so much, I never experienced the show myself in person. I hope to someday if I visit Walt Disney World, however I know the show is still a great show. It's a definite Disney attraction classic and still alive.❤ And I believe anything is possible at Walt Disney World, I also believe anything is possible for the carousel of progress. I believe and I hope that the carousel of progress can move into World Celebration in Epcot👍😉
