He works the pitchers pretty well too, I can’t count the amount of times he goes down 1-2 in the count and somehow finds a way to foul the ball off multiple times until he gets something hittable

Good point. This often goes unnoticed but frustrates pitchers immensely.

That is mostly bc he is hunting off speed, lately the Phillies have taken an approach hit offspeed stuff and let the Fastballs go ,

totally. he essentially plays pickle when he's got 2 strikes. how many times have we seen him slap something in for a hit with 2 strikes?

Stott is gonna be one of the best of all time. Doesn't hurt that Harper's a mentor

It's been great to watch his maturation as a hitter, those who don't get to see him every day are missing out

One of the best in MLB right now. Good eyes, good reflexes, good swing, speed and agility. And he is improving everyday.

That last swing looked an awful lot like Harper. He's probably helping him out.

Definitely. They’re actually best friends, Bryce was the one who convinced the Phillies to draft Bryson in 2019. They’re from the same town and have lived together before so he’s definitely got some pointers from him for sure.

When Harper comes back to play first,the entire infield will be comprised of first round picks,as will 2 of the 3 outfielders.The other 2 are second and third rounders.

This kid was my favorite player last year when I first got back into watching baseball. I loved everything about him from the beginning and his was the first jersey I got. This year, having an incredible season and making people talking about him. So cool. He'll go far

Why can’t they just give him a little remote thingy to control the screen himself instead of him saying “pause it,” “run it” to the producer every five seconds?

Exactly they obv traded for him with his defense at CF in mind. I wonder how that Catcher the Phillies sent is doing? Last I checked he’s creeping towards being a 🔝 50 prospect overall and the 🔝 Angles prospect for now.

Not just the average, but he's also 2nd in all of baseball in slugging and OPS. Maybe the Phillies traded for the right Angels CF after all 😂

@@Soundofsilver2007 O’Hoppe was a top 10 prospect in the Phillies organization when we had him but was being blocked by JT. He started this year tearing it up with the Angels but hurt his shoulder in a game against the Yankees the other day. Not sure exactly what he did but he came out of the game in a lot of pain

We are good on offense if stay healthy! It's our starting pitching that is horrific. We'd have at least 20 wins if wasn't for the terrible pitching.

I'm sorry but what the hell does more athletic in the box mean? Sounds like silly baseball talk.
@garrettcross7545
@garrettcross7545 Год назад
Simply means more balanced, think of athletic meaning a base running stance, defending in basketball, db in football pre snap. So him being too open while also his chest being a little too bent over caused him to not have time to get his foot down square and hit higher pitches with velo, and now being a little more “athletic” aka a little more closed for balance and simplicity and chest higher not leaned over helps his body move athletically and hit that higher velo up in the zone.
@anonymousanonymity2815
@anonymousanonymity2815 Год назад
A lot is luck, his babip is stupidly high and his exit velo is down from last year That being said, he’s hitting high fastballs which he couldn’t do at all, and I’ve seen a lot more extra bases from him or at least feel like I have
