Rest in Peace Arleen Sorkin Also known as THE first Harley Quinn voice actress who passed at age 67. Born October 14th 1955 Died august 24th 2023 Cause of death was Multiple Sclerosis. Long lived the beautiful and insane legend.
"If you want an animation outlining her evolution in video games, let us know." Me: *YES PLEASE!!!* Although, I'm surprised you skipped Harley's video game outfits.
Which other characters would you like to see? I think a really good one would be God in both the Bible and popular culture: a burning bush, Baby Jesus, Hippie Jesus, tongues of fire over the Apostles' heads...all the way to George Burns, Alanis Morrisette, Morgan Freeman, Jim Carrey, and that orangutan-hippo thing on "South Park."
It's genuinely amazing how young she is compared to everyone, appearance debut wise. Yet she's still more iconic than most villains who came before her. I was pretty surprised myself when I found out that the girl who's so loyal to joker, has not been with him since the beginning and only joined him nearly 50 years later.
This realization made me happy. Thank you. It’s a nice evolution of her character alongside Joker becoming more like a metaphor. I’d like to see her take on an anti hero role similar to Cat Woman. Imagine Batman having to work with a bunch of loose cannons.
@@jxyb733 well yes until some hero dude with green costumes try to marry her and ivy act along with it but it okay ivy went back to Harley after the wedding being ruined and destroy by Batman police friends
It’s crazy how you are able to animate, Aaron. Especially how you make them look exactly like the real thing. You could really tell me any of these were from their animated series and I would believe you no questions asked. If I tried to draw any of this it would like like a blob of black, red, pink, and blue. I can’t wait to see you do her video game counterparts if and when you do them!
It's really an interesting tale of once a side character who grew into a main star hence why her and Joker just doesn't fit anymore cause she will only ever be a sidekick if she's with him
@@kurtpunchesthings2411 I feel like there is also the problem that with Joker, her character is basically perpetually stuck being a domestic abuse victim because that was basically the entire point of her in TAS, so for her to really grow as a character and develope on her own she really needs to get away from him, just because of how fundamentally static the Joker is as a character despite going through countless iterations. Outside of the Harley Quinn Cartoon version for example, where Joker goes through the most personal growth of every character. And then there is just Harley and Ivy growing to become the more popular ship due to their chemistry in TAS. I feel like as Jokers Sidekick, Punchline is actually quite decent to fill the spot. While she is an obsessed Joker fangirl, she has actually alot more agency than Harley had when she became Jokers Sidekick just because she herself just decides to reach out to Joker and performing copy cat killings, not because she wants to fix him but because she wants to be him. I also can really see him caring more about Punchline than he did with Harley, just because she is not his toy. She is his student. She is the copy cat killer who gets picked up by the real deal. I think her origin is also a pretty interesting take on the one bad day thing the Joker has going, as it started with her being taken hostage by Joker and her reaction basically being "Hey, this guy is pretty interesting" and from this point on radicalizing herself into his world view.
I honestly didn’t think he would do this because there isn’t a lot of live action portrayals of Harley Quinn. This is an amazing surprise. Harley’s one of my favorites. Thank you and great job. 👏😁
I am just so blown away with how well you mimic the styles for each series and yet still animate them elegantly! Like, that's super awesome, and I mean for all these videos!
Thanks! It was sometimes difficult to ape the styles, I have some speed arts for some of the Harley’s, I’ll have to upload them on the secondary channel 👌
as I used to watch batman cartoons back when I was a kid I always thinked about the backstory of harley quinn which turned out to be pretty interesting, thank you man
It’s so hard to believe that Harley Quinn was supposed to be a one off character in the Batman Animated Series and yet she gained such a cult following and now look at her, she’s a a straight up amazing supervillain with and without the Joker.
Not a supervillain anymore though. An anti-villain. She’s like an anti-hero but with more villainous traits than heroic, but it’s clear in Supergirl and Harley Quinn that she actually did enjoy being Kara’s sidekick, even if her methods were still pretty violent, her heart was in the right place. Or in the Injustice Timeline (specifically the games) where she not only joined Batman, but was willing to fight Ivy if it meant saving the world. Because even her love for Ivy wouldn’t stop a changed Harley. Hell, she even calls out Diana for her allegiance to Kal being warped by her feelings towards the man, leaving her blind to Superman’s now corrupt intentions. Harley has a lot of good in her, that shines all the brighter the longer she is away from Joker and his abuse. She’s a much better person without him, being much closer to her old self, to Harleen, the caring, passionate psychiatrist who just wanted to help her patients instead of the Joker’s lackey and punching bag
Honestly, I'd love to see them do a modern, tacticool version of the classic suit like they always do with the batsuit these days. She'd look like a human-sized, female Getter 1.
It's an interesting stylistic shift for a character like Harley. TSS and Injustice 2 made it work with the modern looks, i could see the classic one happening. As a fan of Harley and tacticool shit, i fuck with it.
The original Batman: The Animated Series version is still my favorite. Perfect combination of funny and sympathetic. Her jester design with diamond motifs is also really good.
I agree. I also think that the outfit she wears at the start of The Suicide Squad is really good and it works for that movie and that version of the character.
I like, The Batman version, mainly because it's one of the few times She and Joker have a acutal good relationship That and i just feel that series is underrated as hell
Fun fact: Harley Quinn made her comic book debut respectively in The Batman Adventures #12 in September 1993. This was just after a year when she had her appearance on television in the episode of Joker’s Favor (S1E07 Batman Animated Series) which was aired on September 11th in 1992.
I’ve always really loved her look in BTBATB, I found it really clever how they completely redesigned her so she would fit In with all the over silver age comic designs since she was created so much later on.
1:45 honestly if he makes a remake of the wonder woman covering the animated version too I hope he mentions DC Superhero Girls like in this video. Or at least when covering Supergirl, Catwoman, and Poison Ivy
“She’s recolorized to face off against Scoob and shaggy.” Me: first off *WHAT?* second off that’s a one sided battle you can’t pit a mortal like Harley against a god like shaggy
Should do an Evolution of the Daleks as well as a history of the republic army with soldiers such as Republic troopers, Clone troopers Storm troopers as well as The first order just to include everything.
As much as I'd love to see the video game evolution idea for Harley, I'd love to see her various comic book looks. Classic Harley, New 52, Rebirth, Solo series outfits, etc.
3:09 surprisingly this is a really good movie. Harley really has a dope design in it and same can be said about most other characters. Fun movie with fun use of the ooze xD
It would be so nice if there is ever all different recarnations of Terry McGinnis, it could’ve been much cooler to have the evolution of the character .
Nothing will ever beat Classic Harley imo. Good lord, that bodysuit... I would love to see a video on Mothra and/or Ghidorah. Always happy when you upload, mate, your videos ooze effort!
1:50 That version of Harley Quinn became a hero as well did Poison Ivy, Killer Frost, Catwoman, Cheetah, Star Sapphire, Parasite, Gorilla Grodd, Crazy Quilt, & Blackfire. I wanted the G1 DCSHG to continue with new heroes Huntress, Black Canary, Indigo-1, Saint Walker, Static, Nightwing, Green Arrow, Star Girl, Firestorm, Zatanna,
When No Way Home comes out, new Spider-man video that includes EVERY movie adaptation from 2019 - 2021, and also includes every single cartoon appearance in it? Could be really good!
Harley's design in "The brave and the bold" is even more interesting when you remember that she never appeared in the golden age comic books, which the series is based off. So they essentially had to figure out how a golden age Harley Quinn could've looked like and i think they did a fantastic job with it
I still love the original Harley Quinn the best. "Batman: TAS" was made when I was born, so she's the one I grew up with. Besides, it was the show that created her.
I love the reference to the ongoing joke of “What are we, some kind of Suicide Squad?” Also I don’t know if this is possible but could you do Sonic the Hedgehog?
00:47. The Batman 2004 version of Harley is my favorite redesign of the character. Her black and red costume appears the same as the 1992 version. But up close there are key differences. Plus it makes more sense that she would be a fake doctor on a TV show, Than a professional psychiatrist at Arkham. I like it a lot.
@@roriemanning8746 this joker is meant to be a more monstrous yet kid friendly and terrifying joker one that comes up with silver age like schemes while somehow making them terrifying, just like how joker is depicted in most comics
Amazing illustration once again, if there's any chance, I would really appreciate it if you would do an evolution of all the incarnations of Doctor who
I noticed a detail with this video. Everytime Harley Quinn was designed with something skimpy/more revealing, she frowns. This reminds me of when Margot Robbie complained about her Suicide Squad 2016 costume, she felt uncomfortable! 😬
THAT WAS AMAZING! You somehow manage to flawlessly animate all of Harley’s explosive and unique personality into each drawing! But could you PLZ make a video about Harley Quinn’s video game costumes? That would make my day
Hey, whenever you update the evolution of Michael Myers with Halloween Kills, add COD: Ghosts along with Dead by Daylight, Halloween 3 (why not) and the Producer’s Cut of Halloween 6.
@@josh9590 cause cod ghosts had michael and predator in the game as dlc wish other cod games did something like that, not 50 billion different skins with a young anime girl on the magazine
i'm guessing the 1992 Harley and the 2019 DCSHG Harley, as well as the Batman, TBATB Harley are my favorite versions. also, i just think the 1992 Harley was the most iconic cause i just love that smile of hers.
@@carinadominguez22 no I’m pretty sure its a direct confirmation from two friend plus Harley says that she can’t fall in love with people with other agendas because of what happened in her solo movie and in that movie in the police station she notices a picture of Captain boomerang and says “I know that guy” letting us know it’s in the same universe and not a reboot
THANK YOU for including Ecco! Francesca Root-Dodson gave a superb *deranged* Harley performance in Gotham's last season Just as underrated as the show itself and Cameron Monaghan's twin Jokers imo
If this video goes over well with all the animated versions, I might one day do a video covering all the notable animated versions of Batman and Joker since there’s so many different versions of each of them
1:12 if someone is Wondering what the hell hapeened then, well Joker took the powers of Batmite, that creature who is from 5th dimension and things... happened
