to turn a ex-tweaker into a damn good hand that almost everyone loves and respects shows just how good the writing is on this show. one of the best feel good storylines i've seen in a while.
I like how when John is talking to jimmy in the barn when we mentions Texas was good for him and when he walks away he refers to jimmy as jim instead of jimmy, like he finally grew up and became a man
I agree, i love it when John & Rip cemented Jim’s position in the ranch as he earn his place that whatever he decided he always can go back to Yellowstone..
Jimmy's character growth throughout this series is almost iconic because not only does he turn his life around but you see him at a low point, the real struggle to become the man who became a cowboy, found love & himself as a person who was worth saving. Love Jimmy ❤️
Cole said on the podcast he likes how this character grew up a lot and he likes to see this process... This was the video I was expected to watch this year.
Jimmy Was Just A broken Young Man, In The Begining & Kinda Lost. But, He Came Through Finally, & He Did Cowboy Up! And Earned Everybodys "Respect" ! I Really Like Jimmy. And Look Forward To Seeing MORE of Him & Just How Far His "Chacter Can GROW & GO"!!! 😊
Lord I love Jimmy. He reminds me of my son. He has a heart of gold and means well like Jimmy. I really hope he finds a beautiful and loving woman like Emily ❤
Jimmy's evolution was great! They did the script and his character was played perfectly! It's hard to be proud of a fictional person but you do feel proud of him at the end
I was Jimmy, with the exception that i wanted to rodeo when i was little. Ran away to Wyoming and worked some ranches and rodeoed my 20s away. His character is far more a realistic journey than a lot of folks realize.
@@brianpayne4549And I believe that's the problem! Kevin Costner has never been known as a person to take a lot of s***! When he walked away I knew there was a bigger problem
Hell nah he deserves the life he earned with his wife….not to be killed due to that family’s stubborn pride if you believe this shows gonna end with sunshine and rainbows your wrong…it’s all coming to an end for everyone
This is how a development is! Jimmy went from a tweaker who had nothing to show for to someone who shows a stubborn side and wants to work hard, the first season wasn’t easy for him but earning his cowboy hat, him quoting the rodeo and learning what cowboying is from the 6666 ranch and being a better man overall and learning to love from a real woman and not a barrel racer that’s why I love Jimmy; also him being a badass cowboy shows that he has the potential and Travis, John and Rip knew that he just needed a push especially from Mia and learn that hard work, perseverance, and a little patience is what makes a cowboy not the rodeo and the love for it
Jimmy reminds me of Nog from Star Trek: DS9. Starts out clueless, smarta$$ mouth, breaking promises, and dependent on everyone. After he came back from Texas, he turned out to be a man and really grew up. Found a girl who respected him and truly loved him. Came with him back to Yellowstone and went back to Texas to work for the Four 6666's. Nog, was the same. In the episode, "Heart of Stone" when he goes into Commander Sisko's office, he has that Ferengi talk, arrogant, and dependent. After Cmdr. Sisko demanded why he wanted to join Starfleet, Nog started to change and did not want to be like his father. He had grown up so much, especially after losing his leg in the battle of AR 558. In the end of the tv series, Nog was a respected young lieutenant and has grown so much.
Mia was bad for Jimmy from day 1. Barley met him and jumped on him. Poor guy had a broken back and she's pushing him to get back on a bucking horse. I knew right off with that truck ride with mia, Jimmy and Rip "cool shit ain't cheap and cheap shit ain't cool, you may not be a cowboy but you'll look like one" said all I need to know. She was a wanna be cowboy groupie and saw Jimmy was part of Yellowstone and she saw a way in.
Now. Alot I could say. But. Jimmy gets a spin-off??? Ok. Maybe. Kind of. Almost. But there are several spin-offs that have more basis than Jimmy. Just saying
Jefferson White is a good actor but I think the character named Jimmy he plays ruins the show and should never have been included in the script, there is nothing interesting about this character who can't do anything right, he's a small time drug dealer, he's stupid, ugly and boring beyond belief, but, who, has women falling all themselves to date him just because he does rodeo, but takes five seasons to learn cowboy skills, would never happen in reality, another Sheridan blunder.
It's not so much that people think he is 'so great'. It's about how well his character developed over time. Hence the title, "The Evolution of Jimmy." Not everyone gets that kind of 'second chance' at life. He got it, and he won.
