I miss the older helmets that opened

The new one just looks like the mcu Iron man the old one actually looks like a LEGO Iron man

It’s evolving just backwards 😂

For the armor used as the first mini-fig. It works because a helmet would look too bulky for that armor design (bleeding edge)

The printed head makes me think nano-tech or techno-organic armor.

The old helmet looked so good, it even looked more like custom Lego parts than actual Lego.

Ok I like the sleek opening helmet BUT THE OG OPENING MASK GOT ME INTO LEGO

I am very surprised they didn't pull a batman, and just but a white/blueish band on his head to similate the eyes of the mask, that can be covered with a hair piece.

I PERSONALY LIKE the new helmet, and it gives us unique designs on the dace plates

The fact that I have that old iron man fig w the opening head and I didn’t know it was old surprises me

There was literally no reason to change the original helmet that opened up. Out of all the pieces Lego has kept the same over the years I wish it was that one.

Oh...I read the title and thought of the fruit and was like "when did Iron Man had figs?"

I think it’s because you can do a wider variety of prints with the newer one. You aren’t limited to just MCU, but you can do comics too, or even different characters.

I remember having a mini set of the scuba iron man. I thought that was the coolest one

I actually like the new models. They look pretty cool.

I think the powerhelmet only worked for the first ever iron man suit he made (the one he built in a CAVE... WITH A BUNCH OF SCRAPS)

The green underwater one brought back memories that was my favorite guy growing up

Now that I'm an adult and getting back into Lego, I'm so glad I kept all my minifigs but gave away all the Lego pieces to younger cousins. I still have my Iron Man with the helmet that opens. It came with the Iron Man and Mandarin set.

Little did almost anyone know, the iron man with the printed helmet is a character in lego Avengers. The first one.

The newest helmet is the perfect one, the first helmet only works for the older suits, with newer suits with mark 50 and 85, it looks too bulky.

Sometimes you have to remember that Lego is a company just like any other, and sometimes they try to cut costs by making simpler, cheaper, and easier to make products.

I agree that the newer helmet is good for more complicated faceplate designs, but im still not used to it. Since day one of its debut, it just looks too much like a Lego knockoff helmet XD

Are used to collect the ones from 2012 and 2013 is that the biggest pain about them is that they broke super easily due to the plastic being moulded incorrectly

I never liked how they always make the head look disproportionately large. So I do very much like the printed head one tbh

The newer one is good, but it only looks good on the Nano suits, the older one (the one that can open too not the old-old one) looks good on all (except Nanosuits in my opinion)

Honestly 5he first was actually pretty cool

The old helmet was better for most iron men, but I actually think the newer helmets fit the newer iron man suits better like the nanotech and stuff

Still wondering why Lego stopped making the black/smoke visors on the standard helmets. Every Speed Champions set has the clear visor, never seen a smoked visor ever again... Why?

The new one is definitely way too curved and angular. It doesn't really fit the blocked art direction of Legos as well as the older ones to me
