Mack B81, part of Mack’s best ever model series, the Mack B. B’s were made from 51 or so until 1966. After that was the Mack R series, another high selling model.
So I will say, Mack is not and never will be as good as it was, nothing will ever top the classic B, R, and Superliner models. Today’s Macks, like the granite serve their purpose well. Models like the Anthem are pavement princesses, so overall Mack is half decent, but not like it used to be. So I’m saying in a roundabout way that you sir are pretty much correct
