Esto es una cosa tan ab-so-lu-ta-men-te brutal que como lo vuelva a ver entero ahora mismo -que es lo más posible- no voy a poder dormir. No solo es un concierto brutal de uno de mis grupos favoritos sobre un escenario (The Ex), sino que además es uno de los momentos álgidos de su larguísima carrera (¡casi 40 años!): asistid a un inmejorable ejemplo de su increíble colisión con The Brass Unbound, ese cuarteto estratosférico montado para el glorioso álbum "Enormous Door" y la subsiguiente gira, y que encima incluye a los magos del saxo libre Ken Vandermark y Mats Gustafsson. La energía desplegada por esta panda de cincuentañeros (casi sesentañeros algunos) hay que medirla en megatones y SE MEA en el 99% de los grupos que he visto en directo. La potencia abrasadora de la música desplegada de manera incansable por los holandeses y sus soplones "del hiperspacio" -como dice el propio cantante, el algo más jovencito Arnold de Boer- es comparable a las explosiones nucleares en la superficie del sol. Amigos y amigas, escuchar esta música y ver estas imágenes me transporta in-me-dia-ta-men-te a un estado de felicidad absoluta, me provoca una emoción que late a la velocidad de la luz en el pecho, me empuja a una epifanía constante, casi insoportable... y os juro que daría un brazo por haber estado en esta actuación... aunque es muy posible que hubiese explotado -o quizá implosionado- de puro gusto.

Thanks Camdenlurch for posting this great footage: the use of horns is really well done. The Ex sometimes remind me of early Gang of Four and it's good to hear they're still at it almost 30 years after their classic album "Scrabbling at the Docks" was released.

Absolutely brilliant no other words for it, watching this to take me back to ATP 2012, The Ex were the absolute highlight of the festival. Just wanting them to come back and tour Glasgow way, pretty please!

The guitar player in the black T-shirt has a drawing of a trumpet morphed with an AK47 on the front of said shirt. Might anyone know if this is a band shirt or what association it has? I would love love love to know, as that would make a killer tattoo for a trumpet-lover. It shows well at 33:15.
