When people say wrestling is fake that is because it is. Not the slams or the holds, that are not actually full force. But the matches are scripted which makes it fake. They are not hitting each other full force. They make the bumps look like they are impactful. Mistakes happen, yes. But this is entertainment. Stop making it seem like people think everything about the show is fake. The hits and the outcome are most certainly fake.
@@HARAMBEAKAGEORGEFLOYD - No he did not get publicly embarrassed. In fact it was the other way around. In fact, WWE had Jannetty do the move on Dean Malinko in the court room to show how safe it is and WWE still lost the case.
He did time. Once when he was a teenager where he did two years for aggravated robbery. After the Mass Transit incident , the Asst DA of Florida where it happened wanted him charged and doing at least 15 for agg battery again but all he got was three weeks in jail and charges were dropped. He claimed it was because he said he would train Lane, the kid he stabbed but he bolted from Florida as soon as he could so nothing happened. He died in 2021 from a heart attack.
Which time? When he threw Grimes off the scaffolding? When he stabbed the independent talent with an exacto knife 9 times? Or when he beat the crap out of that 70 year old joe guy with a barbed wire bat and chain? Lol
Darren Drozdov is another one who had his life altered forever in a wrestling match. Droz got his neck broken be a botched powerbomb be D'Lo Brown. Droz was wearing a loose-fitting shirt in the match which affected D'Lo's ability to get a solid grip for the running power bomb.
If you want to see how much wrestling has changed for the better, go and watch the full Chuck Austin incident. It’s very, very clear as soon as he hits the mat after the Rocker Dropper that something is wrong, yet Michaels turns him over and lands an elbow drop from the top rope. Michaels’ reputation as a dick isn’t a secret but even so, that’s fucked up.
It was definitely unnecessary. After rewatching it though it looks like Michaels glanced over him on the landing and it appears he didn't even touch him at all
When people say wrestling is fake I think they are referring to the fact that it's scripted. Which obviously most people that watch wrestling already know that, so it's a redundant statement to begin with. I just don't think they are saying that these guys aren't taking real bumps. Anyone with eyes can see that
Story: Scripted Bumps: Kayfabe Receipts: Real Raw Strength: Real Heart Attacks: Kayfabe & Real Concussion: Kayfabe & Real What I am trying to say instead of the word “fake”, the term wrestling as a whole uses is Kayfabe. But, yes. The meaning is the same regardless, except that saying fake will insult the wrestlers.
@@3MrNiceGuy15but someone clearly has to explain to you, your a grown man it's time to realise the bumps are not real. Bless you, is it still real to you damn it 😮
I know I'm prolly gonna hear a bunch of shit for this and ecw is not included in my opinion but if you choose to join a sport that you are paid to participate in and you feel you are capable and experienced enough to take the bumps it should be very know that anything could go wrong so. In the Marty Jeanety situation that guy obviously shouldn't have been in the ring
Dude you need to watch the new jack story. He is mental the time he pulled a knife out in the ring and got a little stabby stabby and the one where he sliced up a fans face are nuts 😂
Devin Nicholson I feel so bad for the guy except for those scholarships and with his Collegiate wrestling background would have been a good fit in the world of MMA. Although I realized that wasn't his passion
@@travishutchison6459 Yep, fair enough feeling sorry for him then but now with all the shit he has pulled...nope, I will keep my pity for someone who deserves it.
Sure. Of course. Obviously. Don't worry, everybody here believes you. No, don't cry for the frustration. Remember: You aren't slow, you are just special.
Is WWE matches heavily scripted? Yes. Does the moves hurt to take and deliver? How can´t they? Is it still dangerous? If you watch this video, you know the answer
In one second your life or career is over in any sports. It just sucks how Stone Cold and RIP Droz both had broken necks. I love how people say wrestling is fake yes to a point the injuries are 100% real unless it is written in the story line.
Foley losing his ear pissed him off, not because of WCW's use of stiff ropes, but because they *never actually followed up on it in their canon* and didn't write a storyline explanation to heighten the feud with Vader. Also apparently he could have sought treatment to reattach his ear but he ended up just working the rest of the tour instead.
lot of people praise new jack, but he was a psychotic mad man, first time he forced the other guy to jump with him when he said no and second time he electrocuted him and throw him like a garbage, f u new jack
Jake the Snake? He is a method actor or a liar. As if the WWF and HTM would have used a normal guitar. It's like Piper telling the Snuka-coconut-incident-was-real story for years. Or that he was abused by Pat Patterson. OK, maybe that last part was true.
The Abdulah TheButcher horror stories go way back before Hulkamania.. ~He might not ever see 1 dollar but he should get the rights to Abdullah Butchers name revenue rights.. Maybe they shoulda made the payout $100K.. SOmething that he actually coulda paid. Did they even consider the guys position before they decided the amount???
I don't know if Austin having it's neck broken was the reason, but when I watched The Rockers, their finishing move was a ellbow drop from two different turbuckles.
That Rocker Dropper looks worse every time you look at it. The guy is lucky he wasn't killed, he got away with just a broken neck, that's the sick thing about it.
Just because people get injured doesn't mean that pro wrestling isn't fake. It's a dangerous form of entertainment but it isn't a sport, because there isn't honest competition.
It’s scripted, but isn’t FAKE. Fake means not real. Wrestling is very real. Fake is way too extreme of a term. Also, cheerleading has no competition but is considered a sport.
@@ladyr8chel It's fake in the sense that some people pretend that it's a sport (which implies competition) when it's actually just a form of entertainment. Use whatever word you want to describe that.
@@ladyr8chel It's fake because they pretend that it's a competition when it isn't. Just because people get injured doesn't mean that they aren't pretending that it's a real competition. I agree however that cheerleading isn't a sport either.
If there's someone who deserves to be on the list it's Daphne in a match featuring the monster abyss vs Dr Stevie she took an awful bump when Abyss choke slammed her from the ring to the outside through a table this broke her arm and gave her a concussion which ended her career and she dealt with for the rest of her life saying she got daily headaches from bright lights she sadly committed suicide due to her injury and struggles asking for her brain to be donated to science.
If you pause it at 4:13, you can see Honky check the guitar, as if in disbelief that it didn't break like all his other guitars do. Neither guy expected that.
