One of the most brutal and notorious Kings of England was Richard III a man who is considered a horrific usurper who even murdered the Princes in the Tower to take the throne. But Richard III's life at times is an enigma and he did have an illegitimate son who he placed into significant positions of power. John of Gloucester as this son was known was made the Captain of Calais, but following the death of his father at the Battle of Bosworth Field, John of Gloucester was either imprisoned by the first Tudor King, or he was executed.
