Just seeing Amos and Murtry chatting and playing around in the background (About 4:00), I love so much how the cast all love the show and enjoy making it.
This Season is a turning point. The world building has finished and now the show expands! Pun intended. Naomi is such a smart tough character. Alex is the glue of the family. He is a father of the crew and an incredible pilot born to fly! Holden is born to be a hero. His destiny is to be a bridge between the protomolecule and humanity. Amos is that guy! Drummer is a leader, a patriot, a true hero for her people! I am leaving out so many others to not spoil it ))) #AmazonPrimeTheExpanse
The best Hard Scfi show in the world. This show is more important then even we realise! My neice the other day told me she wants to be like Naomi and become a Fusion Rocket Engineer!!! This show is so important fr so many reasons and the golden thread of science shines bright. Go right now after this video and binge Seasons 1 to 3 before Season 4 drops! #AmazonPrimeTheExpanse #TheExpanseIsTheNewTrek Trust me!!! Go right now!!! This show is inspiring kids and adults alike about the future of humanity!
I'll miss Naomi's frohawk but I can understand Dominique wanting to have a more conventional hairstyle for when she's not on set. Personally I think she's cute and that the frohawk looked nice.
He's a classy guy for sure. You can tell he loves the show and the story. Great to see in an actor playing such a pivotal role in it actually have an interest in the story.
SyFy always cancels the best shows and always keep the mundane shows,... Bring back #DarkMatter ~ #AmazonPrime Just as the Black Ships entered #TheExpanse, (you see what I did there) ...they cut the show, Trust SyFy, NOT!!!
Maybe they will, if they get a lot of viewership for the Expanse. I don't know why people just didn't watch the Expanse when it was on SyFy. It deserves more recognition than it's ever gotten imo. Especially now.
I would really love to see Dark Matter brought back! It was really just getting under full steam when the plug was pulled. Even better, it was delightfully, almost painfully Canadian sci-fi in all the best ways.
Yeah i miss dark matter so much they were just getting to the good parts then it was canceled so they can keep z-nation running which is a garbage mediocre show.
This TV show is a masterpiece of SF genre, and these people are all so incredibly talented! I've read the books so far, and it would be just awesome if Amazon could achieve and film all the seasons based on books.
I just watched season 4. I love this show. The cast is awesome. The stories are so human and real. I asked myself if I was really shedding a tear when Ashford sang his sea shanty before being spaced. What a show.
I really like the show. The way they got to have a season 4 and 5 is great. It's nice to see a 'success' happening to people who deserve it. Both the cast, crew and us the audience. The Expanse has the perfect balance of things going for it.. scenery, cast, guests coming in. Subplots are well written weave in/out seamlessly. I am really routing for them.
The books are out there, but the show is SO good, that I decided early on to just watch the show for however many seasons it runs, and read the books after the show is complete.
I couldn't wait that long. I read the 1st 5 books in very short order & of course back to back in 2016 then had to wait until December of that year when the next book came out (& of course yearly after that). The tv series is just different enough because it is made with the limitations & strengths of the different medium in mind. So there's no reason you can't be watching & reading at the same time.
The books and the show are different enough that you get something significant from each. The only book I had trouble getting through (I'm not alone on this) is Cibola Burn. And it's remarkable how much more concise and more cohesive that plot came off in season 4 on Amazon vs. the book version. I just wish they had found a way to :spoiler: include Havellock on the show.
Its funny while Cas Anvar is interviewed and he is really exited about answering the questions, the camera is focusing on Wes Chatham in the background. Kind of the same as in the Show itself, when Alex tried to get the attention of Monica Steward while she was more interested in Amos. :-D
The best way I can articulate my feelings now would be something like AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHH!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I for one am very excited about seeing more of Amos in every form but particularly and hopefully more of that action man body.mmm mm.Expanse by far the best show on TV can’t wait for more..
The last show, at least in sci-fi, to have this level of production values and also commitment and camaraderie from cast and crew was Firefly. I’m so glad their fate has been different.
Her earrings? I know, it's fabulous! I didn't look more because Dominique is stunning and interprets my favorite character (one of, I don't feel the need to list them).
And that's only one world, imagine a Martian commander take a long look at whatever they found and say something like: "Guys, i think we just hit a jackpot beyond our wildest dreams."
Actually, you hit upon one of the major plot points in the book. Now that the gates are open it spells the end for a concerted drive to terraform Mars. The splintering of Martian society sets up a fall of dominoes that resonates through to the 8th book. In fact they do hit the jackpot, but the result is a crisis of humanity-wide proportions.
"You're gonna get to see a lot more of Amos than you have in the past?" As if those tight fitting vests weren't enough? 😉 Hottest guy in Sci-Fi *ever!*
Season 4 was actually one of the best Season’s of any show I have seen on forever I was on my toes after every episodes they definitely came back with a way way better expanse I can’t wait for season 5 .
I hope they'll do all the books! I cried when Amazon bought the show. BTW, book 5 was hard. I'm now on a break from reading the series, because I started book 6, but it was so depressing, I needed a break. I'm reading Xmas crime now! :D
I want to specially appreciate you for being a big fan, thanks for your nice comment on my post, It means a lot to me, I want you to send me direct message via email hangout that will be indicated below using my personal email also endeavor to add your name to the text so I can know you're the one texting because I don't reply unnecessary messages. wesleychathamjohn@gmail.com
I was sad to see that they not only kept the shortened episode lengths, but the number of episodes was even cut back to the same as the first season, which was 30% shorter thn season 2 & 3. I'm only 8 episodes in, as my wife and I watch them together but I am currently i the hospital recovering from back surgery, but hope to get discharged tomorrow, which will let us see the final two episodes of season 4 tomorrow, but from the first 8 of 10, the show is still great, but the scale and stakes seem much smaller. It's sad that the move to Amazon didn't expand the content of the show beyond what we would have gotten had Syfy renewed it for a fourth season. Sure they're more freewith adult language, but I'd gladly do without the expanded adult language if it allowed the expantion in the amount of content actually created for the season.
@@TheLeftCulprit1. ...and I am eternally grateful. The Expanse is the best science fiction series ever and this TV adaptation is nearly perfect. Here's a thought: buy the book series from Amazon and read it - that's what I did. 2. Comics Beat has every right to make whatever vid they want but perhaps titling it "Expanse Cast praises Amazon for Series Rescue" would be less likely to have viewers block recommendation of their content for misleading titles.
You know what would be awesome? If we did not have to talk about diversity and point it out every 10 seconds, instead just accept we have a diverse world, people are doing a job based on merit, not because of their gender, colour or creed.
Agreed. I really hope the show won't suffer because of this obsession with identity politics that keeps rearing its ugly head in some of these interviews. Instead of saying "I'm excited that this great show will receive this global platform", Dominique Tipper is happy that "awesome women of color" specifically will be seen by a broader audience. This show is filled with great characters, none of which are made great because of their gender or skin color. And people love it for it.
@@ErroneousTheory "Look at how much privilege I have!" I guess all the struggling white males I know missed a memo. White males have to be one of the most hated groups at the moment. I mean, they even hate themselves (just look at what you just typed). There's always going to be someone more privileged than us. So what? Having a chip on our shoulder is not going to do us any favors. Do you know how easily I could be playing the victim as a female? Instead, I understand that in life we all have different starting points and that we need work our way towards our goals. To use a simple example, males are privileged over me when it comes to building muscle. Faced with this reality (that males are not at fault for, mind you) I can either accept that it will take me comparatively longer to reach my goal or give up because not everything in life comes as easily to poor me. In either case, what I'm definitely NOT gonna do is tell people "Males are testosterone-privileged. Their gains are unworthy of celebration, unlike mine! Me, me, me!" Don't you see that celebrating certain groups can be divisive when it's done in a way that's putting others down? Anyway, I'm here for the Expanse, really. I just had to disagree with the sentiment that "celebrating literally anything else is worthy". And why the self-flagellation? It's ok to be a white male 😅
@@ranialian8537 seriously. Study history. It isnt hard. Be a responsable adult. I know you won't. While male victim is the most pathetic type of human. Selfish, childish, entitled, weak.
Bummer about all the praise for Amazon. Those actors will sing another tune when they get thrown to the curb. Just as the sun rises, Amazon will smoke them. They do it to their workers, they do it to their seller, they do it to their buyers. The first high is free. It always is.
Hey Expanse Fans: I watched all 4 seasons on Amazon Prime (SPOILER ALERT: Season 5 is coming late 2020-21) but here's my question for the readers: There were some pretty gory scenes in Season 1 (the doctor losing his head, literally). Did SyFy edit that out and Amazon put it back in? I can't see all the blood splattering (oh, like that Belter who "crashed" into the Ring) appearing on basic cable.
One of my favourite things about the expanse is that the books are different but not so much that the plot is different in drastic ways - only got about half way through the 4th book before I binged the whole season on release - and there are differences but not so badly. As an adaptation from book to screen, it's fantastic - they've very well played to their strengths (come to think of it, it probably would've been weird to see an animated mimic lizard regurgitating it's whole stomach - so sticking to a passing reference was smarter). Well, until season 5 gets here I guess I'll just have to read the whole series!
I have not read the books but if the force in our faces a woke lesbean relationship I am out. Be what you want, you can simply or say it but if they go further than that it's going to be GoT all over again.
The Expanse is about quality not quantity, so speaking only for myself, I don't care about your gender, colour or sexual preferances. It doesn't matter, as long as the content is good enough. I worry this identity politics in the entertainment industry is getting kinda racist.
Any video with the cast I watch, if Dominique TIpper is present she always gets political. Strong female characters are nothing new, we've had them for decades, get with the program.
