The machine has all of the features of its little brother, The Adventure PUR Binding machine, and cycles at speeds of up to 500 per hour.
The Explore includes an automatic book thickness gauge which automatically sets the book thickness and the creasing on the cover feeder.
Sensors automatically measure the length of the book and the correct amount of glue and side glue is applied.
The glue indicator on the touch screen alerts you as to when more glue needs to be added.
The sawblade uses indexable knives, which last three times longer than ordinary sawblades.
The Explore utilizes a cover feeder which can implement up to six creases.
The nipper dwell time is adjustable.
Unlike open tank machines The Adventure uses a closed tank nozzle system, making it unnecessary to extract fumes created by the PUR glue.
The Explore PUR Binder can also bind books with ordinary EVA glue.
It also includes a delivery conveyor.
The cleanup tank facilitates a two minute cleanup at the end of the shift. This makes a lengthy, manual cleanup a thing of the past.
