It is the history of the character... Probably you haven't watched the sequel.

This is a sequel movie, the first movie is about him having a vacation for 1 year. His boss forbid him killing anyone in his vacation. That's why the title says "doesn't kill". And these two movies are based on the manga The Fable. You should read it if u like this movie.

@@muhdamsyar4800 yeah the manga is pretty good, more screentime for another character (like the sister) and it's more realistic than the movie (none of those 1 vs 100 battle). I think there will be a 3rd movie cause the after credit scene of the second movie is the hint for the third big arc of the manga.

The killing scene in the beginning was the flashback of him 4 years ago, before he had to stop killing

Aye. I hope it got first to # 5 to get more attention. I just finished watching it on Netflix. Such an awesome movie. The picture they use on Netflix will make others skip it because it look like a regular high school show on their minds. I watch it by taking a gamble like all movies. This one is a keeper. The story, the build up and the action intrigued me. I feel bad for Hinako (the girl in wheelchair). Even though she avoid being sold to prostitution, she still got deceived into having sex with her parent killer. (the foster parent or Guardian?). It's also weird that the show called an assassin who doesn't kill, but he killed 6 in the beginning under 6 seconds xD
