I just ordered the mascara, black pencil, and clear gloss. I love the simplicity of this brand. I love the minimal packaging. And you did a great job reviewing!
Dusty Rose looks beautiful on you! I bought that shade too. AND I was told that I'm shade #9 also. I like Dusty Rose as a highlighter just to add a "sheen" to my cheek bones and top of my forehead, maybe my collar bones too. I got the Bronze Miracle Balm too and love it - it's great to add a warmth to my post-winter in Michigan skin! Great video!
What are the major differences in formula between the Merit minimalist sticks and these JR face pencils? They seem like they accomplish the same thing / look. I have combo sensitive skin ... don’t feel like I would need both. Which do you do prefer and why? Would love to know your thoughts! 🌀💫☮️
Hi! I have a similar skintype and I agree that they have a similar purpose. I will have a video up next week comparing 4 of my stick foundations, Merit and JRB included!
Hi Lauren! I’m new to your channel. Love the reviews! I’m dying to know where you got your gold chain necklace?! It’s the perfect length and thickness!
Hi! Thanks for tuning in. It's the Eddie Borgo Supra chain link necklace - I got it in my Curateur box. I think it may still be in The Shoppe (it's a members only exclusive shop with steep discounts on items, many of which have been in the box already. I think I dropped my referral link for Curateur in my video review of it)
Have been eyeing Jones Road since pre-launch. This is great! Thank you!! I would love to see you do a review on NudeStix, if you haven't already! Love their concealer stick, lip pencils that are fat and glossy and their Nudies Bloom blush sticks. The whole line fits in with Merit and Jones Rd. Insomuch as its a super easy natural face.
I’d love to see a comparison of the stick products you mentioned doing! Beautiful eye look...never thought to use eyeliner in that way! I always have problems with eyeliner transferring onto my brow bone.
Thank you! Isn't that silver pencil fun?! I double checked the ingredients...it does have caprylic triglycerides which are a coconut oil derivative, but it seems to be pure coconut oil that irritates my dermatitis. Caprylic triglycerides are in some of my other products but it hasn't seemed to give me problems. Thanks for looking out though!
Your skin is so glowy and beautiful! :) I'm thinking of trying out the face pencil; I love how natural it looks on the skin. Do you think the mascara would work for very short lashes?
Thank you! I think the mascara should work for short lashes. The one thing worth noting though is that the brush is really fat and bushy, so if you like thinner wands, it may not be for you.
How much loss when you sharpen? I usually avoid pencils that do not have an auto twist due to product loss. One of my pet peeves but the formula sounds nice.
It's pretty average for a pencil. I typically wait until I absolutely have to sharpen unless I want a really crisp line, but I often wear my eyeliner softly smudged out.
@@BoldlyLauren Thanks. I am not a fan of pencils; but thinking of trying BB face pencil..... not sure. Kind of expensive to have to waste product from sharpening. Maybe when I have a disposable income :-)
I’ve noticed mechanical pencils have a small amount of product in them maybe a inch and a flat if that. A pencil is filled all the way to the bottom, so even with sharpening I feel you have more or the same amount of product. Sounds more like a preference to me. I enjoy both but also want to see less waste come from myself personally.
It definitely has more tack than most traditional cream cheek colors, especially if built up. When I use it on my cheeks, I only like a little bit. On my lips, it's great as a balm. Hope this helps!
Hi. New subscriber and you are perfect channel for me. Very relatable and realistic makeup for me. I was looking to buy maybe 2 of jones road brushes. Do u have 2 favorites? Would the detail face brush or bigger one be best with the pencils. Also, if u were to buy one of her eyeshadow brushes, is there one that u consider the most versatile?
Hello! Thank you for subscribing! I just purchased the Everything Brush so I will report back, but I think in terms of facial brushes, it depends on your application style and what you're looking to achieve. If you like a broad sweep of makeup but still apply underneath your eyes, I would say choose the bigger facial brush, but if you're lighter handed the detail brush may be perfect for more targeted application. Out of the eyeshadow brushes, the Fluffy eye brush probably gives the most bang for its buck; it can be used to press pigments onto the lid or crease, swept in a horizontal motion for a liner style effect, or held vertically to blend. I hope this helps!
Hi! If I apply a ton too close to that first little wrinkle/crease that's close to the lash line, I notice a little will collect in it. For my skin type, I always powder no matter what concealer or foundation I wear because everything will move on me (I'm combination and get super oily through my T-zone). Hope this helps!
