I was a model in Moscow, Russia .. and im African, everytime i go to casting, i see like 80 hot male models there for casting too, the pressure is really high.. there was one time i went back home and didnt do my casting cus i lost hope, i cant imagine what Naomi must have gone through during the 90s at castings

Yes! We need another Face UK! This was very professional and real, whereas ANTM was the opposite. I really enjoyed the master classes of Face UK! The mentors teaching things and caring about the girls is amazing.
Literally every single time Naomi's team loses the client ends up saying that it's because of criticism Naomi already gave them. Last episode it was because Chloe had to be a freaking drama queen even though Naomi told her 20 times to just strike a normal pose and stay like that. This episode it's because the girls lacked warmth and femininity, when Naomi kept telling them to laugh and pretend they're at a slumber party type of setting, but no they're too busy being angry at each other. Ugh, I'd be pissed off too.
@Ally Foster The fashion industry is hard. So it is good that Naomi is harsh to them. The girls need to be more professional, than acting like kids. If you wanna run your own show, and not listen to your mentor. Why even participate? They came there to be a professional model, then take the damn critic. Bc they are gonna work with a lot of different people and personalities. There is a reason Naomi is an icon. She already said that she isn't there to make friends + being a model you also have to learn to act.
The problem with Naomi's team is that they want to outdo each other instead of working together, not even listening to what Naomi says them to do because they think they know better
But notice how Naomi react to failure. She tears them down, and tell them to 'do better', to 'show personality', but when they do, they are doing it wrong. She doesn't tell them what they are doing well, she tells them they are bad for not winning, but she doesn't give specific directions on how to. Naomi is trying to make the girls like her. I don't like Caroline, but she is good at bringing out the best in her girls. She gives better directions, in a way that builds them up, rather than tear them down. She teach each girl to bring out her individual strengths, and work on her weaknesses.

@HereIAm247 Caroline has girls that get along, so they haven't got distractions and will be able to focus on Carolines advice and use teamwork to flatter eachother on stage. Naomis critiques aren't the problem, rather her choice of girls is. She chose a bunch of women who have either hostile or overwhelming personalities, so none of them fucking focus at all. The critiques are on point but she chose women who refuse to listen to them.

Naomi cracks me up so much. I know her style is a bit harsh, but the fashion industry is just as harsh. In the modeling world, women will sabotage each other. Designers will toss aside models like trash and say WAY worse things to them. They need a thick skin and strong self esteem. No one is gonna fight harder for you than yourself. This is a lesson Naomi is trying to teach early instead of them learning it the hard way from the fashion world.
Fighting for what? A piece of paper on a magazine?? It is so sad that women strive to be models insteas of scientists, lawyers, architects, artists and so on. Instead they starve their bodies to achieve so called "standards" set up by psychotic fashion designers. It's a shame a grown woman like you doesn't denounce the industry but instead just tells young girls to toughen up and accept the abuse. Really, shame on you and all of the women and men who let this industry survive.
Dai, I see what you mean. But my opinion, that's the fashion industry. Your mentor especially, will be the one pushing you to the limits. I think it's all tough love. But that's the harsh reality.
+Dai Z I believe that Naomi wants them to be more independent and will only assist if the contestants really needed it. I remember her saying that she can't be able to assist the girls after competition (or something along the line).
Naomi is setting an absolutely terrible example for her team. She expects her team to behave in a way that she doesn't even do herself. She is temperamental and explosive with her criticism, yet she expects her team to sit there quietly and take it.
revaholic That's the fashion industry. It truly sucks. You need to have thick skin. In auditions, shoots, people will be blunt. they will criticise, shame, but that's life. If you really want it, you'll push and take it.

chloe is SO DRAMATIC and it really pisses me off.. first of all, you're not in a dramatic bollywood movie, you are on set SHOOTING as a MODEL. Second of all, WHEN NAOMI FREAKIN CAMPBELL TELLS YOU TO STOP, YOU STOP.
At the beggining I really hated Caroline, but Ive grown to really like her. You can tell she knows what she is doing and she knows how to bring the positive aspects to life in her models. The only piece of advice, though, is that I would prefer that she left her personal affairs against the other mentors aside
The reason why Caroline's team is probably winning is because of the connection she has with the girls. They feel comfortable and confident around her. This is as far as I've watched in the series though.
I think that it's also because her team works better together and they are all supportive of each other. In the other two teams there her much stronger girls but they have weakest links. But this show is about one winner which has to be the strongest and in that department Naomi and Erin's teams have stronger models.
And who cares if naomi won the competition anyway? If anyone slayed that program idea, caroline did it. She's so light, beautiful, fun can be nice when needed and picks her fights, if the program was by points and not elimination her team would have won by a mile. i don't know how people can be so drawn to naomi sketchy ass when there's a woman like caroline right in front of them, i guess most people only care about status. Caroline probably goes to parties in st. Tropez in the summer and skiing in the alps by the winter with her famous successful fun friends while naomi buys a lot of overpriced shit in paris and rome and cries herself to sleep because everyone uses her and nobody actually loves her, people either admire her from a distance or fear her in her presence, she is so damn likeable when she wants too, she just needs to let go of her pedestal more and be more approachable and people will flock to her.
Erin is my goddess, she's so elegant in every inch, she's womanly & manly at the same time, she's beautifully handsome, I'd go lesbian for her hahaha :)) I'm straight though :)))
She does but she forgets to apply the knowledge in the moment. During the photoshoot, she instantly applied what Naomi said and she was the first one who actually tried to smile. However, she quickly forgot that and did what she always does.
BRIT TRIPUDIO I agree! I feel like in terms of mentoring and teaching, she is probably the best. Caroline's team is doing well because the connection the girls have together show up in the photos and it looks amazing.
I don't know, if she changed her attitude maybe she wouldn't be the team who is losing, she doesn't have to yell at the girls or smash doors, just shows how personal she takes it, but also how bad she wants the girls to be the best version of themselves which i like, i think she needs to handle the situation with less angriness.
In my opinion, the thing about Naomi is that she isn't being a team member as much as her own girls aren't co-operating. It still seems like she's the star of the show and everybody is beneath her. That's just the vibes I'm getting. As a high fashion supermodel, that's gotten her to where she is today. But as a mentor, especially to novice models who already are so impressionable and so young, it's just not working. From experience, the best teachers are able to part knowledge and allow their students to embody the essence of what will get them ahead. All she's been giving or at least unintentionally putting on her girls is a strong sense of entitlement and using fear and intimidation to get ahead. We see this only goes so far, but true admiration, acceptance and a positive attitude, especially in professionalism is what gets you where you need to be. That's why Caroline's team has been working so well so far.

Identity Not Found well tbh modeling is not the job for them. It’s not her job to baby them. Naomi is from a generation where she had to work hard for hers. No one handed her anything. She was one of the few black models around her time. There’s plenty of beautiful girls. It takes more than looks. You gotta have tough skin and the skills. Naomi is blunt and realistic. The industry is going to be worse than Naomi. People like chloe haven’t been listening to her advice from the very first episode. Chloe won’t listen to anyone. Erin gave her the same advice.
Honestly, I like that Naomi have a strong personality - but she is a really bad mentor. Caroline wins, because she is building her girls up, bring out their individual strengths, and show them how to work on their weaknesses. And she can bring out what the client is looking for. This creates a strong team, because she is teaching them the skills they need - that is her job as a mentor. Naomi on the other hand, is tearing her girls down when they don't win. She points out their shortcomings, never their strengths. She says she want them to have their own personality, but really, she wants them to be like her. She is a great model, but she is not great at teaching modelling. It is her job to teach them these skills - not tear them down for being inexperienced. That is the whole point. Yes, they could listen better - but Naomi needs much better communication skills, and conflict resolution skills. Because what I have seen so far, that is the main reason they don't win.
That master class by Caroline is just amazing, the way she move when she jump is so akward, but when photographer take the shot, the results are breath taking, and looks effortless. I think Caroline really know her angle, and how to positioning her body in a way that look good while jumping in the air. Only a profesional, and an experienced model can do that. I'm starting to like Caroline 👍
Lyandru Tambunan yes Caroline can seem to be a bitch to some, but she knows exactly what she is doing. She takes very strong photos and she knows her angles and is a very good instructor. Gets the girls chilled and relaxed so they feel comfortable in front of an audience or the camera.
Erin seems to be the only mentor who actually cares about the girls themselves. Naomi and Caroline seem much more focused on how the girls will make them look.
Business honey , it ain't about caring or being a mother. Since when did the model business be about being a mother duckling? It's about one thing only , selling ,branding ,and being OUT THERE standing for something.
Because it is business. The clients spend money on hiring you and you get paid from them, so they have power to ask you to do what they want and need. Otherwise you are going to be replaced by others.
I think is just Erin hiding some of her darkest sides, like "okay I'm going to be kind so everyone get that image of me, but at the same time and moving with intelligence and discretion to the top without being rude out loud"
+ella bee Because the girls aren't listening. Chloe has been told LOADS of time not to be too theatrical by ALL the judges. Emma and Racquel refusal to work with each other, constant bickering and allowing emotions get the best of them during the campaigns. If Naomi didn't give them the wake up call before the episode ends. I can say that both of them will go home faster than ever.
She does tell it like it is which is good, but i wish she used more love, she only gave critique the last time they lost even though part of her team did do well

I'm super late for the party but I feel like Caroline's team does so well because they feel the least pressure. They know they have to work hard and be responsible, but they're not scared and pressed like Naomi's team. Caroline makes them feel good about themselves
Naomi makes them nervous, which doesn’t help the girls who have strong and clashing personalities. Caroline makes them relaxed and confident, her girls are happy and carefree personalities.
They are new in modelling. As a mentor, it is Naomis job to look at each girls individual strengths and weaknesses, and how she can help er bring out the strengths, and build up the weaknesses. This is not what Naomi does. Being a mentor is not about doing things your way, it is about doing what is most effective for the person you are working with. Naomi is a great model, but she is not a good teacher.
honestly this is what i think: erin is too soft on her girls, naomi is too hard on hers, and CAROLINE honestly seems to be right in the middle; not too soft, not too strict. i think that’s why they’ve been winning two in a row: because her girls are being receptive to the good mentoring. although Naomi is my favorite and will always be, I def do feel like in term of competition, Caroline has had the best approach and that’s why the girls keep winning. I loVE Naomi though. Nothing tops her.
Jade Ackloo I think Naomi is real with them I have experienced hard and this ain’t it. She is just direct and doesn’t play games. Erin is like a loving mom way to nice, not everybody in the industry is gonna be that nice and supporting. Caroline reminds me of more of a friend with more experience.
Jade Ackloo Yes but no. I do agree that Erin is too soft and Naomi too hard and Caroline is in between. But I don’t think that’s why they’re winning. I think a lot of it is due to luck. I don’t just mean the lucky shot that’s perfect (like in the case with the magazine shoot), I mean lucky that what the clients wanted so far just so happens to fit Caroline’s girls.
@@sashafierce7972 It is true that not everyone in the industry is going to be supportive. But you get the most out of an approach like Caroline - not too strict, and not too soft. They are new, and the point is to teach them new skills. So you can be tough on them, at the risk of breaking them down, so they do worse. Or you can build them up, so they do well, and learn the skills they need, and your team wins. Being a mentor is not about doing things your way. It is about looking at the strengths and weaknesses of each girl, and teach them how to bring out their strengths, and improve their weaknesses; to see how you can help each one improve.
Maybe because when she was younger she got bullied about her body? You know when people like to point out the little stuff and the flaws that you don't have. I don't know but there's definitely a reason behind it. It is sad though, she has a great body.

Honestly, Naomi chose such a toxic team, for what Naomi trains she definitely would have had a much better team. Caroline’s team made it work, they actually liked talking to each other and felt comfortable with each other. “Dream work makes the team work” Erin’s team genially had absolutely beautiful girls. She's not the best teacher.. her delivery completely overwhelms the information she's trying to relay. She tears down rather than building up-- she's a complete master of her craft, but that doesn't mean they she's a good instructor.
I respect Erin she choose girls that are not so good in modelling and build them up . However Caroline wrnt for an easy route to choose a female with very beautiful faces. Know what they are doing Noami team are big personality ; always becker at each other... therefore it will bite them in the end

I don't think Naomi is a good teacher... She is an expert in the subject matter and the information she is relaying is correct, but the extra harsh delivery and prickly-ness I think makes the models self-conscious and just intimidates only...You can be an expert in a subject but at the same time not be a great teacher. Yes the modeling world is harsh, but if the point right now is to learn the information and improve the models' skills, then I don't think her delivery is effective whatsoever and just makes them constantly fearful of her. Naomi is a master of her craft, but she no one can deny she's unnecessarily rude and was a major reason why her team was so tense during the lingerie shoot.

They need to listen and actually follow Naomi instructions. You saw how great Naomi instructions was at the after the club photoshoot. The photographer even complemented Naomi direction and vision.
