Hey, stupid question probably, I do listen to the bass tracks on a lot of death metal songs. Is it easy like this song u say or do others incorporate technicality beyond simplicity? I'm asking because bass players are shredders too...

This was the peak of The Faceless. What a talented line up. One of the greatest albums in the genre. And Keene, it’s okay The Faceless didn’t reach what I know you know what potential you guys had. Substance abuse and any action that comes from it is something many people have to live with. Hold your head up for creating this banger of an album

Its better than being obsessed with him like everyone is about dime even though hes dead and gone, i doubt hes underrated seriously i bet hes respected. Also thats the other thing i get the feeling the most important thing to him even though i dont know him is his music, like any real musician right? This band has this really chill vibe, its not like theyre milking their audience, they have this perfect balance of intensity and chill, but the intensity is from the concepts in their song, not the music?? Also that bass is sick af. I love when a band doesnt shove its chode down your throat, it makes you do it to yourself...?

Underrated, no Man! The faceless set the standard in this genre, they were on they way up, the had everything to be one of the greatest, but keene struggled a lot with drug addiction and because of that they cancelled a lot of.tours, and there where videos of Michel unable to play his parts because he was wasted, then instead of getting love from their fans they started to receive hate, even their Facebook/ IG was full of hate messages from their fans, there where a lot of band member rotation, and keene kept going down,

This honestly isn't the song of theirs to go crazy too. When I saw them live I moshed to almost every song but this one because it's so glourious and they are all such brilliant musicians.
Watching this band, I have the same reaction I had when I first saw the back of Decapitated's "Winds of Creation," and that Shredder had when he first met the mutated Toka and Razar: BABIEEEEEES! DEYAH BABIEEEEEES!!!
Planetary Duality is undoubtedly a masterpiece, however, even with how great this lineup is for this album, the next lineup was better to me. Autotheism is a extremely underrated album. THAT album is a masterpiece too, more so than PD and the lineup... BOOOOOY. Evan Brewer, Wes Hauch, and Keene all on the same record? Pure fire right there. Saw that lineup live when they opened for BTBAM. Fucking amazing!
@oaktubs i played tech death gigs for over 5 years without triggers just fine.. But I can tell ya, triggers are harder to play with, any mistake is magnified.
how do you know? Quite a few bands likes the crowd to pay attention to their music(eg. Cynic). This isnt shitty generic deathcore, this is technical death metal.
Damn, this line up showed their full potential....Keene is a metal God and not a lot of metalheads know that because he hasnt had the luck Chuck had with getting top notch musicians and singers from album to album playing live in the past recent years
I really liked the Autotheism lineup the most. Wes Hauch, Evan Brewer and Alex Rudinger were all probably the most talented musicians to play for the Faceless. We all know this is Keene's band, but I wish he held it together long enough for this lineup to get into the studio.
@roughdraftdeathmetal nope. It's too much compression on the master buss. It's way louder than most videos on the tube. It doesn't have to be. We have a volume knob. We can control it.
