No love for the second guitarist? The guy played clean as fuck as well during their shows. Love how non-metal he looked. Such a tight live band this was.
Rodri Btz I meant this current line-up. A full line up change has occurred multiple times after Planetary Duality, not sure where they're up to atm. Internet is your friend.
Rodri Btz Lol isn't a stranger on the internet the source of anything that's misleading or trollful? I can think of so many ways to find it without asking. Check their Facebook, their label, the social media pages of the artists themselves, do a Google search for *bandname* "new song" ect.. Anyway, it's called The Spiraling Void.
@@guitaristderekfuck yea same here dude, never knew how badass drop tuning could be till seeing the Coldly Calculated and Sons of Belial riffs. Fuck I miss this band so much
The best lineup ever! Something about the energy between Keene, Rydquist, and (Steve) Jones just made these performances electric. They've never been the same since this lineup fell apart; I saw them in 2017 when they released "In Becoming a Ghost" (with Ken Sorceron on vocals!) and that energy was completely absent (although Bryce Butler did an incredible job on drums). The Zenith Passage is the closest band to capture this lightning in another bottle!
It took me 12 years to realize that this two part track was channeling some very Swedish writing and vocals with cozy guitar riffs very reminiscent of Opeth.
Saw these guys in Edmonton, easter weekend 2009. Changed. My. Life. Keeping it Extraterrestrial Keene! UFO's, Aliens, abductions. What more can you ask for in terms of album material from these guys. Keene clearly was a jazz kid. His chords and modes that he uses prove that he is a schooled well talented guy. This is metal. I can't wait to see you kick ass dudes again! Next album will be even more killer!
Dammit... when i went and seen the faceless.. they were with In Flames and Between the Buried and Me.. Great show! but i hadnt heard the Faceless... So i didnt know any of their songs... THEY ARE BADASS!!! I guess there are worse ways to find a sick band... : )
As badass as the music is.... they don't seem like they believe in their own product. They look bored and out of place. The vocalist is trying, but there's no energy. You can tell Keene is the control freak, but even he looks bored and unconvincing. This is sad to watch... especially as a fan of the band since the beginning. The new sound is what it is, but this was better in my opinion, but you can tell Keene isn't enjoying it. Thus, their new Opeth ripoff album.
It's barely an Opeth ripoff except for In Solitude. I thought it was much closer to a hybrid between Tool if they were death metal and Extol. Frankly I enjoyed it as a one time novelty, as all of the Faceless albums are. Planetary Duality was a creative masterpiece but another one in the same vein would get boring fast. It makes up what it lacks in impact power with creativity but that'a one trick pony. Akeldama was the exact opposite as a rather generic but good deathcore album and Autotheism is what you know. I'm pretty sure they will do something different in their new release.
i dont know man, i met him in person and he is a true goth, this guy hates life imo, hes def depressed. in this live performance i can see the light within him, i mean how much more stage presence can you have when you are playing music this dense? imo the band looks great on stage, and i dont expect them to do what cannibal corpse does, this is more modern.
@HeavyDeath13 Annunaki, Reptilians, Shape Shifters, it's all in the lyrics. From what I see, Prison Born is about the true origins of mankind as a slave for the Annunaki in our very distant past. That's what I see, whether it's what it's really about I don't know.
alright well its a little hard to convey sarcasm through commenting, and there not really anyway you can judge someone entirely over 4 comments, if you can, become a psychiatrist
Okay so what's the legion of the serpent and annunaki? I know they have deep meanings I just don't know what it is. Someone educate me. And the lead guitarist just looks so cocky, when hr
the skit through out the song with tat guy talking about the government and aliens or what ever was actually a real phone call that the guy called in to a radio station called "coast to coast" which is a station that mainly discusses underground "government agendas", aliens and conspiracy theories and so on and so forth. But the guy later called back coast to coast station and fest up to it all being a lie. the story didn't really happen in the manner he perceived.
@mousebiscuit There are many things. Primary research and secondary research. But I must warn you, do not research unless you have some sort of connection towards religion and spirituality, you need to be a faithful worshipper of YHWH to do this. Why? Because people who don't cannot handle the information. Alot of them go insane, or some actually get visited by demons and they commit suicide, It's a horrible truth. I can guide you if you want. The faceless know about , but do you want to know?
Not upset by the music, upset by lack of mindless 'inyourface' pyrotechnic elitist metalhead pissing contest, please go watch megadeth concerts on mute then or go watch a movie. Most people actually viewing this video in entirety are doing so to witness talent and musical expression. Please return to watching steel panther live sets
you simply cant be stoned to play such music...you know how hard the rhythmic part for EACH instrument is? imagine that they have to signal each other too and try to play together. I dont say that they are not stoned(maybe the drummer is for sure) the only thing i am trying to say is that they must be gods to play these things while stoned...:D
Yet, there are many stories and supposed eye witness accounts stating similar events that have been said and known to be true stories. Coast To Coast station is actually quite an interesting station for those of you who may be interested in such stories and theories. Ok know ladies and gentlemen go take a poopy now OVER AND OUT....
Thank you for taking me back to my merch table...... Actually WAIT!! ......... Thank you for honestly transporting me into an amazing state of mind where I can actually enjoy this show from my memory of being behind the merch table and/or going back and forth to the trailer. This honestly takes me literally back to the amazingness that I remember of Canada
Disappointment. Never noticed the tattoo's of the singer before. The Faceless was my last hope that a band can actually create tattooless metal. Apparently, creativity comes along with the ink. Or the other way around. Or with succes there comes vanity. And with vanity... Ah whatever.
@Derioyn Hehe okay 1st. They play in a metal band 2nd. Their bassist is refused entry in certain countries 3rd. They're making spaced out music about FUCKING SPACE :) It's just a guess... my stoner alarm is ringing, but for all i know they may be shooting acid all day.
@HeavyDeath13 bravo man, you are like the second person that's actually been able to explain it good, I just had to tell my mom about this believe it or not... most ppl are like OH ALIENS aw man that's gay.... dude, it's deeper than that haha
This crowd was shit, when I saw them I was moshing almost the entire time. If i wasn't moshing I was shouting the lyrics, and If i wasn't doing that I was basking in the glory of brilliant musicianship.
I don't know if you're trolling. But if you are I'm blatantly going to call you a (roughly)12 year old who brags about moshing, and who doesn't actually enjoy listening to the music.
theres just something that steve jones had that wes doesnt. And its Rhythm. Steve jones was just that; a rhythm player. He would get in that pocket and not miss a note.
Is that a new washburn style? Funny Washb. gave up on all high end guitars, they done seem to have one over 400$ now! I love the wm526 still wish mine were neon green.
well the bassist that was playing with them at the time has a medical marijuana card, not making any assumptions, but im think mayyyyyybe he might smoke weed. haha
