I'm loving these movies that show people falling for someone as they are as a person instead of their looks. I was so worried that there would be some "twist" where love would turn him into a handsome fairy or whatever and was so happy when that never happened. He fell in love with her spunky attitude (and that she could keep up with him as an equal) and she fell for his kind heart. We need more movies like this.

Ikr?!!! Like, this take on 'beauty and the beast' trope is different. Marianne truly loved him for his personality, and through their shared common interests they only become closer. Appearances are secondary when it comes to true love in this types of stories. Love it.

it is slightly forced and rushed that bog and marianne literally get to meet and talk to each other for just a whole night and yet they go for it, but aside that, it is an alright movie. a very alright perhaps👍🏽

It’s true but they are working within the confines of the movies runtime and still working with the side plot lines and characters. Suspension of disbelief is helpful in these cases. Lol

But then again Bog could’ve been written to give a longer deadline and Marianne and he could’ve had more time to spend together while adding those bits as short additional flashes. Still would’ve required either additional film time or cuts elsewhere. For all we know they did originally have that and were forced to cut it in the first place. I dunno. It seems forgivable since the didn’t do a beauty and the beast cop-out.

You like it because he’s not playing every single song from the movie. It was non stop bland anal (that’s anal as in analog, not the private part) tone deaf drivel. I dunno what the record for number of songs in a movie is, but this movie was determined to break that record, even though the vast majority of their songs ether sucked or went on way too long.

Fairies dont have mortal enemies.. the guide and help things grow… thats why others love them… They Dont act like people who have “enemies” .. all that bug them.. is darkness.. but that gives them a reason to be light and tinker’ within it

Thanks to this video showing up randomly on my feed I've finaly got the right motivation to rewatch it 2nd time after I've only watched it Once when it came out. Damn near a decade ago. Back then i didn't hate it, but felt more weirded out and indifferent. But because of this video i went back in and I LOVE IT NOW. Flaws and all, but love it nonetheless. Thanks to the random algorithm. Found a new personal favorite. Im sad im late to the fandom but I'm here now.

This recap makes the movie look cute but actually watching it is another thing 😭 It has a lot of Musical elements that are very weirdly executed, the whole movie was weird to me. Also Marianne and Bog King seem to have quite a big age gap that isn’t talked about here. I did like the humor and the visual effects a lot tho!!

This was not a good movie to target children audiences, because there is just too much going on for them to even enjoy it. It’s worser than just having hidden messages or excessive moral views. The films plot is just too mature for anyone under the age of 10 yrs old, due to the nature of mature situations that a child wouldn’t understand or to think of how it would resolve or change.
