I just found your channel. I would love to hear your thoughts about the cardinals rebuild. I feel like under this new management, we had a great draft class. Just wondering your thoughts as a bear fan

This Falcons draft is just what happens if you ask the duck to try to copy the Packers draft strategy. Close but not right in any way.

1. He's injury prone...HE HAS NOT HAD AN INJURY IN TWO YEARS AT WASHINGTON. 2. (Cheapshot) Not a good football player...WATCH THE LOCKER ROOM TAPE AFTER UW GAMES AND SEE THAT THIS MAN IS A PURE LEADER AND COMMANDER OF MEN. 3. He's 24... HE'LL SIT FOR 2 YRS AND GET EVEN HEALTHIER AND WITH HIS ARM STRENGTH... HE'LL PLAY 10 YRS AS A STARTER IN A LEAGUE THAT IS SUPPORTING SEVERAL STATERS OVER 36-40 YRS OLD. 4. He can't move outta the pocket, too stiff, can't make reads...AND SOMEHOW HE GOT 3 WRs DRAFTED IN THE TOP 100. SOMEHOW THREW FOR 4900/36-11/65% WHILE BEING SACKED ONLY 11 TIMES LAST YEAR HOPEFULLY THAT HELPS CLEAR UP THIS LAZY VIDEO! DO SOME ACTUAL RESEARCH...USE SOME STATS... ACTUALLY WATCH TAPE... AND DON'T JUST REGURGITATE WHAT YOU SEE ON ESPN OR THE MCAFEE SHOW! YOU SAID PENIX JR ISN'T EVEN BETTER THAN SPENCER RATTLER...HATER!

@@tarsheemthomas6908 1. Didn’t say “injury prone”, just said he tore his right ACL twice, which is factually true. Additionally, he fractured his clavicle which caused him to miss four games in 2019 and he missed most of 2021 with a separated shoulder. Bringing up a player’s injury history is important, but I did not say “injury prone”. 2. Being a leader and being talented are two different things. The most outspoken defensive leader for my Chicago Bears was Eddie Jackson for YEARS until he was cut this past offseason. Jackson has not been good at football since 2018, but he was still a leader. Never once did I question Penix’s leadership in this video. 3. Being a 24 year old rookie puts you at an inherent disadvantage, especially as a QB. If your rookie QB is not slated to play (at the earliest) real downs of football until he is 26, you’re in a bad spot. This league has shown in recent years it has very little patience for QBs, just look at guys like Howell & Pickett being traded for scraps after their sophomore seasons. That’s not even considering the fact that they just paid a different QB $180M earlier that offseason, and decided to take an older QB in the draft rather than maximizing their window with the already established QB they acquired by adding talent around him. 4. He didn’t “get” anyone drafted, Odunze, Polk, & McMillan got themselves drafted with their play. That’s a silly point to make. If anything, it’s not hard to come to the conclusion that it would have been the other way around if we want to say that one got the other drafted, but again I don’t feel that way because I think that’s a silly point to make here. Additionally, he played behind a fantastic OL, which was able to mask his lack of creativity and pocket awareness/presence. Also, college production/success doesn’t always translate to success in the league. What does tend to translate are traits, which Penix lacks many of. The release + arm talent are undeniable, but his infatuation with his first read, his struggles to read coverages post-snap, his aforementioned lack of pocket awareness/presence, etc. would be his inevitable downfall if he is to not work out as a player. If I was “regurgitating” what I see on ESPN or Pat McAfee (which, not that it matters, but I’ve never watched an episode of McAfee’s show and I find the man insufferable) or wherever, I would have been much kinder to Penix. Very few people graded him as low as I did, with most walking away believing he was a day one talent in spite of the outrage towards the pick itself. Saying I’m trying too hard to be different or something along those lines would have been the better insult, but I digress. I made it VERY clear in the video that I want to be proven wrong. I want Penix to go out there, set the league ablaze, and make everyone (including myself) look like total morons for clowning this pick. Penix does not strike me as a bad person, and with the amount of flak he’s getting I would love to see him flip it all on its head. Having a different opinion/takeaway is not the same as hating on a player, I simply drew a different conclusion than you did, which is okay! In fact, my favorite aspect of draft dialogue is hearing different opinions and seeing how others view players differently than I do. Dialogue/discourse during the offseason is fun, and I wish your comment was structured in a more civil manner so that we could’ve picked one another’s brains to see why we have different views on Penix!
