The feeling of winning a game of fall guys was designed to be an amazing feeling of victory, but now when I win a game of “knockout” I’m kinda just sat there like: “that was it?” I miss solo show
Fall guys devs do be sleeping they haven't added any content to their game in months and they ruined what the game was about. The overpopulation of maps and radgolling was the part of fall guys that made it fun. Now that we have creative rounds which im gonna be honest are too complicated to be fun and we lost the over population and radgolling I dont think there is anything left to make this game different.

They should just go back to having qualified level designers create polished unity levels. Creative can still exist but it can be a "nice to have" extra addition. We are making way too many excuses for creative. These levels are poor in quality compared to what was made in the past, and seems like many mediatonic YT partners are biased and blinded by this simple fact. The game is so awful right now and it really gets on my nerves seeing all the YT sycophants defend mediatonic even when the game is clearly no longer fun
unfortunately new Unity levels is most likely not an option anymore, those levels took a very long time to make and I think most of the designers that made them no longer work for Mediatonic

8:40 my biggest complaint by FAR. The creative survival maps are ridiculous right now. Could you imagine being a new player and being asked to deal with all those shenanigans...
Only reason i hate this update is the creative rounds just don't feel like the og rounds. I know they are well made considering how limited the creative is. The new gamemode is pretty alright, but they DESTROYED competitive fall guys in my opinion. It's too quick, they lowered the player count even further (it used tocbe 60, it decresed to 40, now it's 32.) I really miss the the og maps, they are WAY better and more memorable, it also just sucks because i know exactly what to do in the normal maps but I have literally no idea where im going in the new maps They made it quick so the baby brains of the community don't quit after 3 minutes. And i hate that Ik i sound selfish but i REALLY just want the old maps back... They need to add a non creative round (like what he suggested)
I just dont get the LOVE for Unity maps I have played this game from the beginning and the only thing that keeps me playing is Creative. The OG maps on my opinion are boring
@@Ferky116 that's fair, there is plenty of good creative maps, but like 90% of them have no variety, have horrible gameplay and have no creativity, also creative is very limited there are many features and elements you can't place in levels such as low gravity areas, many of the decorations etc
I thought that was a good change tbh. Waiting 4+ months for around 6 new rounds was never really the best arrangement, and now we get more consistent updates that are actually able to compound upon each other. "Unity" hardly will mean anything if they keep up the pace of adding new features to creative, and id already say creative has caught up to at least half of the unity rounds.

It’s because of idiots like him; defending the update and everything that has to do with creative rounds; that EPIC can do what they do. They deleted the core of the game; just ridiculous. i feel the only bad changes are changes to solos, renaming it knockout, making it 32 players, 3 rounds, also there are too many creative rounds. 40 players was nice, but i really miss 60 player rounds too. the emote wheel is kinda hard to use now too.
60 players in the lobby makes you feel competitive and energetic. 40 players is not bad, but it makes the game much easier. 32 players make the game feel like a cheap easy mobile game and when you win you don't feel as proud as 60 players
Did MT not realize that when the community was asking for an emote wheel was because we wanted more emote slots? A emote wheel with only 4 emotes seems pointless to me. Also my 4 favorite finals are vaulted except kraken but that's not a final anymore. Those are my biggest issues. I think the biggest W of the update is not having to wait around after you finish a round in explorer. I would like to see race rounds and survival have separate explorer modes.

@@svdzcbshf6912 Also the game hasn’t been screwed, actually the opposite. We have more content than ss1 or ss2 at the beginning. The problem is the community is filled of npc who can’t enjoy without everyone’s approval. You just want seasons and unity cause of hype.
The only things I'm in disagreedment is: 1. The 3 rounds in knockout mode. 2. Creative rounds in knockout. 3. The less players In knockout. 4. The physics changes. In conclusion bring back solos.
These creative map updates are just an excuse to not make new content for the game, either let it die, or update the game yourself rather than relying on idiots in the community
The problem is, they fired most of the employees when the game changed hands. Even the customer service doesn't know the game. I'm really thinking that's one of the big reasons they went with the creative stuff. They get new content from the players and don't need to hire new programmers as a result. From a business prospective it makes some sense, if you ignore the player base wishes.
I can stand most changes but not Fall Ball removal. I'm usually casual but whenever Fall Ball Cup was available, I spent hours playing it. 💔 Hopefully they add tools to make team rounds like that in creative, but it won't be the same.
Solo Shuffle gave TWENTY SHARDS when you won it. This new crap is 5. Also- Where's the weekly event? Fall Ball or Pixel Painter or any dedicated weekly event minigame you got to practice and perfect is just gone now? Anybody thinking this update is good is a mouth-breather. Also- Where are the things I can buy with Kudos? Everything in the shop I already own and/or I need to spend premium currency on. I have 40K in Kudos I can't spend.
They deleted so many maps from the game files I'm so sad. Most likely means we will never see or play on them again: space race - see saw - knight fever - ski fall - hyperdrive heroes - cosmic highway - roll on - sweet thieves - treat thieves - freezy peak - bounce party - rock 'n' roll - egg scramble - egg siege - speed circuit - power trip - hoop chute - bubble trouble - hoaders I don't understand what they are doing to this game but it makes me very sad.
Not only solo but duo and squad as well, if there is a skill gap between you and a friend you messing up or them will almost always end up in disqualification.
Takes me 5+ hours to get the dailies done now. Used to only take 1-2 hours. Who has 5 hours a day, every single day to devote to a single game (other than full time streamers and RU-vidrs)? I don't even have the patience, especially with all the other junk they put in to clog everything up. Used to be fun. Now it's a chore.
But during the first few seasons crown could be used to purchase items in the item shop as a premium currency and only a few crowns were enough to buy such items. Now crowns are your only longtime achievement system, we’re you often need hundreds of crowns to process any further. It’s really disappointing step back, that makes zero sense to me, especially if all the current changes were made to make the game more casual. To me almost every current change was bad and will lead to lesser playtime for me. I played mainly to finish the game pass and upgrade my crown levels on a daily base. At least that felt kind off worth it during the last few seasons. Now even that doesn’t appeal anymore to me. I‘m already half through the game pass and without any viable way to get acceptable progress in the crown ranks, I don’t see myself playing anymore on a daily base. And I started day one of the original realest back on PS Plus in August 2020. Sad to see the really lackluster state of the game, especially since Epic took over and now the current update made almost everything even worse… Chris
@@octopaul How about last season when a crapshoot win on a Creator level gave you 20 crown shards, and now it gives you 5? This is an awful take. They've made the game worse, and the progression way slower because they're out of ideas.
I agree with you about creative, they need to think about what will make creative rounds feel the closest they can to the unity rounds, and imo these changes need to happen to creative: - Overlappable Start and Finish lines (having the regular vanilla ones completely take away from cool themed maps) - Advanced Survival Settings. They're off to a good start with the rotater tool, but they need to let players have more controls with the rules of survival, like how obstacles can get faster over time. New power ups can't carry survival mode on their own, they end up being tiresome and very similar to eachother in rounds. - Expand on the rotator tool (Let us be able to move bollards, and move obstacles side to side and unique paths not just in a circle) These are the bare minimum changes I think we need to truly have some cool creative rounds. Everything else like new backdrops, 3000 budget, new themes and obstacles are all nice but these main 3 should come first as they hold the most potential.
Completely agree with you!! I think that creative is something that ca make the game much better, but rn it's not as good as it needs to be to maintain the game.
I agree, they also have to add more themes to creative because despite alll the backgrounds and decorations, it doesn't make up for the lack of themes that make the maps feel more authentic
Absolutely agree. Editor isn't enough to make fun and creative games. In fact most of original games (like 90%) can't be done using this editor (give it a thought and you'll realize that). Much more tools are needed before we see awesome community maps. By the way warcraft III 18 years ago did this and all the online game was about community made maps, I played for years and I don't know how to play classic w3 matches
The return of the Ultimate Knockout Main Show would save the game indeed. The 60 player lobbies with 6-7 rounds were so much fun and we used to get our favorite rounds more often. It should also only consist of the S1-SS3 unity rounds. The only thing that sucks now is that the devs actually removed The Vault Show from the Customs. All of the previously vaulted rounds from 2022-2023 have also been removed from the game files entirely. Rounds like Freezy Peak, Hyperdrive Heroes and Speed Circuit are gone now. Hopefully the devs are actually trying to fix the bugs on those rounds and they'd return soon enough.
My favorite features of this update are Explore mode and the new phrase/emote wheel. I just wish they didn't change solos (duos and squads too) so much.
Here's my take, fall guys needs to make unity maps. I liked your idea. But I have a crazier idea. Maybe fall guys could make it that when logging in there's two modes: creative and knockout. Then in the lobby both have the normal shop, crown rank system and battle pass. Knockout mode will have a "season pass" which changes every season (3-4 months) and creative has a fame pass which changes every month with the new update. You can either buy the fame pass for 400 show-bucks and the season pass for 600 show-bucks. Knockout will not have the creative tab with the "create new" or "load". But instead the normal shop, crown rank and season pass, locker and homepage. Homepage will have solos, ultimate solos, duos squads and ltm's. All gamemodes will only feature unity rounds and obviusly the new season themed maps. Knockout will have a solos which is 3 rounds at 1 crown. And then ultimate solos will have around 5 rounds and 2 crowns. There will be a new knockout season every 3-4 months with an new theme, lobby screen, new maps made by epic or mediatonic, and new season pass. On the other side, creative will have all the tabs in the home screen we have right now with shop, locker and creative tab the same. The fame pass and crown rank will be as it is right now. And the homepage of creative will have creative solos, duos and squads: 3 rounds-all creative maps and 1 crown as reward. And then beside it, the discovery tab and explore which can be how it is right now. Also custom games will be the same as is in the both modes. Just knockout custom games will only have unity maps while creative custom games only has creative maps. both will be 3 rounds. And finally just like it is now creative will have a new update each month with a new fame pass. This would be a lot of work the develepors but very rewarding in my opinion
now it ends so fast, just 3 rounds. And winning a crown doesnt feel as good as it used to be. Most of the creative levels are just bad, specially the survival ones were I win without doing anything and end so fast. I spend more time in the loading screen than actually playing.
At the moment the bottom D-Pad button does nothing if you use the default controls, I would have liked them to make it a quick emote button or something which would just do the last emote you did (or if you hadn’t done an emote yet, the 1st emote)
I was getting that a ton throughout the Season 4-last recent update to the point i just stopped playing because it made the game unplayable, but now it doesn’t happen to me. It got REALLY bad for a while and I basically couldn’t play at all.
did it get fixed? cause when i started the season half of the time i was getting this error.... ever since they started adding the creatives i kept getting this... If this is really fix give me lil more peace of mind lol
Results may vary but for me I haven’t had it happen at ALL since Fall Forever so I’d say give it a try, I’m able to play Explore marathons without any boots to lobby.
Yes it is really hard to get used to the new jump height for when you want to get the frame perfect dive on the ground and go much further I’m so used to the old jump height I always do it way to early
For me my only issue with the update is the creative levels in knockout/duos/squads, or better said, not having a unity-levels-only mode for these versions, and like you said, adding a "classic" version could help a lot
Ooh, I like your idea for the Classic Knockout show. I like both the creative rounds and the unity rounds but I just wish they could be more 50-50. With this update, it is 90 creative and 10 unity.
The issue with adding a new show like ultimate knockout is there isnt enough players to populate both shows so they want to funnel everyone into the same mode so they have faster matchmaking
Seeing as MT want to move away from unity levels and towards creative levels, that poses a problem to LTMs, seeing as they are all practically round pools of unity levels. They may either completely remove LTMs or make creative-based ones like the start of SS4
I started playing when the game become f2p on Switch and with this latest update, my only problem is the three round "knockout". It just plain sucks and it should have been an alternative "quick solo mode". Turn Knockout as a "quick play" so that way you can have solo knockout, duos knockout and squad knockout. Heck, since mobile games are all about "quick play and done" then they can make Knockout mode the mobile exclusive version and leave the regular modes for console. Also a missed opportunity to add stickers to the fame pass so you can customize your right emote wheel
Excellent points made and a healthy stance offering solutions instead of just frustrations. I'm trying personally to re-frame this as growing pains but it is ever harder to do so. Gg's Octopaul.
The only way we get to help the game is by being constructive and helpful, if people are loudly complaining without offering any solutions we won't get anywhere
I quit fall guys when they removed crown currency. So many pathetic changes and looking at the game now it’s nowhere near the game I loved playing. So sad
Me and my friends will every so often play fall guys when we have nothing else to play. We played and we were all disappointed, confused and frustrated. We were unaware of this huge update and thought it would be like that way it was from a couple of months ago, mainly all mt maps and one creative one. But we kept getting awful and unplayable creative maps. We played 3 games and quit because it wasn’t fun whatsoever. I really hope they have a separate game mode for just the mt maps because those were the maps that me and my friends loved playing
I don’t think they added sbmm until a couple years in though so this is the first time you have to go through a sbmm gauntlet to get anymore than 5 shards. If they would just bring back LTMs I would be happy.
Tha problem was that they are preparing the game for fall guys mobile, then they need to remove code to make in more optimised and they decided to eliminate a lot of unity maps from the code bc creative maps are stored in some kind of cloud, so if they put solo show again the game would need more resources and in a cel phone you want to have a lot apps, no 10 basics and a game about beans that need the half of the space in your device, so even i like the idea of a separte show, i dont think they can do that :[
Hello, octopaul, so I just saw the video, and I think you got all the bulletpoints. Your suggestion for knockout and ultimate knockout modes are really good ideas next me personally. I enjoyed the update. Specifically, explore mode it just makes the game feel refreshed for me and not repetitive OK, final thing cause it feels like I'm rambling. 1 thing you didn't touch on was the dailies.. 3k steps to now 5k steps. Qualify from 10 rounds instead of 6 (& no quick shows like LTM to do that (& no Casual mode where you have guaranteed qualification pretty much))... I went from finishing them in 13-23 minutes to now taking 42-58 minutes (& 1 day it took 75 minutes) - I feel like they are artificially inflating the amount of time you need to spend in the game & this is supposed to be a casual game, not 1 where you spend so much time you don't have time to play other games & work, & have family time!
emote system can be the same as in fortnite,either you choose the wheel or use the key shortcuts.I hate that fall guys took away key shortcuts from me.
They need to add support for scripting new things in creative rounds if they want to go with a fully player-made game slop that they are currently going towards.

Came back to fall guys yesterday after nearly two years of not playing. Why am I getting a blast ball survival map every single stage? Where are all of the original maps?
As someone who started fall guys later on (beginning of this year), I feel that this update is way better than the previous version, since when I joined the game it’s already at the bottom of the hill lol. Before this updates my friends were losing interests bc of the unity rounds being too easy and boring (or you die in survival rounds because of chance). The creative maps wait time also didn’t draw my friends into playing them. And most newer players are also not aware of how good the game was back then and never experienced the good unity rounds. So this might very partially explain how they have no incentive into recovering the old rounds cz the newer players don’t care 😢😢
Also overall the solos feel new and harder than before to me, and I do prefer having more challenging maps and three rounds, than having to grind through the boring ones for 4-5 rounds..
i knew fall guys since 2019 when the e3 dropped, it didnt seem interesting but when it released it was an amazing creative game and when epic games bought mediatonic that told me it was gonna go downhill, and it did. Overpriced Skins, Over Using Creative to make levels quicker and lazier, removing seasons with lazy fame pass updates with barely any collabs. There used to be so many collabs and events back in fall guys prime, soon as seasons were removed it just became a stumble guys clone (crazy how the original game became the copy) they copied stumble guys 32 player rounds, high jumping, and short lazy passes. Just because stumble guys is more popular DOES NOT MEAN BECOME THEM, your suppose to be better and epic games obvisouly doesnt know that. rip fall guys
I think the main problem is the plan to make fall guys a mobile game. The devs want to make fall guys mobile friendly cuz thats gonna be their main player base. While these changes are good for begginers, the og players are left unhappy. Imo it would be better if we had a new fall guys game just for mobile, so that both sides are happy but i don't see that happening with how slowly the fg devs are developing their game
Unity levels were the most fun creative community levels are not fun i enjoyed the original maps way more i miss all the Finals the creative finals aren't good
The primary things I can't stand about this new update and that have totally ruined the fun of the game for me, is the broken emotes, the addition of these 3 things that change the beans and made it a shooter game (for the rounds with the shooters), and the stickers/thought bubbles showing up over everyone's heads that block our view so we can't see where we're going (plus the picture stickers are just blobs that don't show anything anyway). On XBox One, I haven't had controls for anything showing for close to a year, and that was fine, as I'd learned what was what before they all disappeared. Now I have no idea what's going on with all this new junk that just invites trolls (and that trolling has gotten sooooo much worse as well). My 4 emotes are missing except on the main screen where they still work. It's frustrating beyond belief and I wish I hadn't purchased the pass because now it's just a massive chore each day to get through the pass. If I hadn't bought it, I wouldn't be playing anymore. Also, I tried contacting customer support....they don't even know the game or understand what you're talking about when you describe a problem, and they won't answer your questions. They just default tell you to uninstall and reinstall. I tried even asking what all the stickers and stuff are that keep popping up, and they won't answer. I'm lost and confused and ticked off about it. It takes 5 hours to get the dailies done now as well because everything's harder, the explore thing doesn't count towards them (which you can't exit out of without just standing still and waiting to get kicked, there needs to be a way to exit explore), the custom levels are confusing as heck, the trolling is horrendous, and I miss the professionally done levels before the company changed hands and everyone was fired leaving players to be the only ones making anything for the game. I miss having fun in Fall guys.
@@octopaul You're lucky then on pc. On XBox One it's all messed up and the explore doesn't count for the dailies. Tried it for half an hour or more (didn't time myself), actually managed to qualify a few rounds that way, but the count never changed on the daily counters. *shrug* I'd play on my laptop, but I'd never qual a single round due to lag because my laptop can't handle it. As it is, I get some noticeable lag with no server in my time zone as well, so that doesn't help either.
i just got back into the game and i enjoyed the update on what’s happening and i like the update (please don’t fight me on this if you don’t like the update that’s your opinion and i respect that)
Tbh I think this is messed up that fall guys did this. It's really easy to not get eliminated and the 30 min timer for creative is gonna be a huge problem. I also had this idea that I think fall guys should add this where for those people who had made it to the final skin from their crown ranks they should be rewarded with show bucks instead of crowns for the knockout mode. Just my opinion and thoughts.

Look, I'm not mad about Creative levels. I actually enjoyed season ss4 (The first time, where creative levels and the editor was introduced) a LOT. It was something really fresh and exciting, the theme and new music of that season are cool and the creative levels built that time were really good. (Nowadays it's just upsetting, because they just tend to built artistic levels that only LOOK good, but totally lack of fun gameplay and puzzles.) HOWEVER, this new update totally destroyed the core of the game and playing Solos/Duos/Squads is not fun at all. The competition value of the game is totally lost and the whole thing just feels like you would be testing random demo stuff, since every match only has 3 rounds at most now and many core levels are probably no longer there.
I'm pretty bored of the old maps like whirligig and dizzy heights, and no one wants to watch them get played for the 1000th time in videos. I'd love new themed rounds but I understand why that can't happen so Creative is the future for me at least

I get people liked/disliked the update - but the tension between specifically Twitter and Reddit was not healthy for a community and was not good at all. I think MT is sort of trying to balance adding new elements to creative and adding stuff that you'd find in Unity rounds to creative to try and make people end up liking creative rounds better but at the moment creative is not there and they still need to keep the Unity rounds to make more people happy, but they're not doing that too much. Also they need to add some kind of logic system like scratch blocks or something because every good Unity round included brand new elements and features. I don't even think people would like the switch anyway because of the nostalgia.

Call of duty warzone mobile has done something 8:36 similar After releasing warzone mobile they released two mods mobile royal and the battle royale and the difference is less the in the mobile royal and Less game play time to
you can get crowns in explorer now on some of the survival levels if u the last man standing it was weird beacuse i gained two since i was the last man standing on two maps.... i think people are affraid now that epic games will kill of their own game fall guys now and more set all in focus to fortnite insteed it seems like they want all pc players and console players of fall guys over to fortnite cuz they are planning on spooky collabs and sutch for them to put fall guys inside of fortnite to lure people from this platforms over to fortnite to play that game insteed so they can now focus on getting fall guys to be just compitible and only working good to mobiles.... game devs are sleezy this way we have seen it so many times before... its also seems like this new update has been a joke to ps5 users since my friend have crashed multiple times playing on his ps5 while i playing on a pc is back in the lobby again while he gets stuck lol and whats up with this long ass loading times trying to find a new map to play in explorer i tought they said they will get rid of it also the loading times but they still there its also still loads the map in the screen and also loading by finding a new server and thats just stupid when you are finished why change server and not just stay in the same haha they have done some sketchy stuff in this update i can tell
