The truth of the matter is no one is perfect and no is righteous except God....but one thing I know is if you have been called to serve God musically there are certain traits people need to drop....you can't say you love God and you indulge yourself in worldly pleasures. Its that's simple. Its either you are hot or cold.
As a gospel artist, we do not need too much but we also need just to be able to live a decent living. Not just saying God bless you and you drive off with your expensive car and you say you blessed me with a powerful song but then the musician goes home and finds the house locked, he has no food then he begins to disturb other people's peace by asking for 100bob apate supper. Again also you find the gospel fans go and support secular artists and that breaks the gospel musician

I wonder what kind of gospel music people listen to. I've never seen gospel music in Kenya dying. Its just that the music industry has shifted to a deeper dimension where the world cannot fathom it. In real sence, the era of artists is gone, right now we have true ministers of God.

The artist are in it for money. that shouldn't be the case. Gospel shouldn't be about entertaining man but worship to God. .Bottom line is if you choose to serve God you have to change from being conformed to the world. The choir choruses were more spiritual compared to the contemporary gospel songs.
So what is the correct way to do gospel music,,,cause to me you have to cater to your audience for your message to be heard,,,just like when paul started christianity so the western world could accept the Jewish God as the one true God,,and i dont think Gospel is a music genre,Gospel to me means the word of God
