To me this theory makes the most sense and would be the most satisfying. The idea of Evil is ultimately what gives Griffith his power and this means that Guts is unintentionally only fueling Griffith with more power as his hate for him grows. It would be interesting to see if by Casca overpowering Griffith in the sense that she sees him for what he really is, a power obsessed egoistic and fragile man, that will reduce him back to his natural state. Whether that is possible or not, I am in love with the fact that Rickerts slap was intended to be more than just a satisfying moment. Maybe it was written to show us that Griffith is not in fact invincible. He is powered by hate and if he is not hated, he loses power. Very interesting theory indeed

@@ModernVagabondIsHere then what is the point of guts journey then? The reaspn why he becomes so powerfull is because he wants to defeat griffin right? Casca killing geoffing makes absolutly no sens ebecause she has no will power to defeat him, at least not alone Yes i get that griffin would soon loose hos crip and power but still! My prediction is that BOTH Gust and Casca would be the ones who would defeat griffin together since they both suffered this nightmare together and is both of them who shall end i all, thus givving both of them having a chance to shine

@@denysvision I definitely see where you are coming from. It’s easy to see that a lot of Guts strength comes from his drive for revenge and the defeat of Griffith, however, I think the beauty of berserk lies in the fact that time and time again Guts is reminded of what really counts. Guys has had to learn that even though revenge is sweet, it comes at a high price and his focus is constantly re-shifted to the people he loves and cares about. Guys has already tasted revenge as he has killed almost every opponent that has done him wrong, for example his ‘father’ and ‘rapist’. Guts knows very well what revenge feels like. Casca has been assaulted countless times and is in my opinion the most wronged character in Berserk. Her revenge will be pivotal for her character as she is always in need of saving. I think it works better than Guts following the path we expect or hope for him. Berserk has a way of surprising us so we’ll see if any of us are right at all😂

I fully buy into the idea of Casca killing Griffith--Guts' whole journey is about him moving past his need to kill Griffith, and reorienting himself towards what actually matters to him, which is his friends and loved ones. With Casca however, it would be her act of breaking free from Griffith's control, finally
@PedroLucas-mg5je

And it would fit for the 3 main characters to finish their abusers - Guts killed Donovan and Griffith killed that lord whom he slept with to gain more money, so It makes sense for Casca to murder the man whom violated her in front of her lover and turned their kid into a demon!

I feel like Sonia is going to let her jealousy get the best of her and kill Charlotte (esp after Casca arrives , she'll be able to see / witness the eclipse by reading her mind ) If Charlotte dies, Griffith will lose his chance to be an official king - and if Sonia does a mental communication to the people of Falconia as to what Griffith is / the eclipse , the city will turn their faith on him (this seems to be eluded to of the refugees of Falconia grasping onto their old beliefs and creating issues in the neighborhoods) I see either Casca and Ricket absolutely being the key to Griffiths downfall - not Guts.

I've been saying for years that it will be Casca who ends Griffith. Whether it is her who physically kills him or she is the one who gives the nod to Guts to allow him to strike the final blow, she will be in charge of his fate. He betrayed her more than he betrayed Guts so vengeance should be hers

How has he betrayed her specifically more than the rest of the Hawks? What because he penetrated her? He penetrated every single one of them. Exercised total power over them and sacrificed them as lambs for the slaughter to fulfill his own selfish ends. Griffith will be the one who end Griffith. His own ego once revealed will turn the whole world against him.
@NutsorSomethingBerserk

I also think that the only way Guts would ever be able to harm Griffith again is to finally let go of his hatred deep within him, let go of his anger, rage, all of it. Then to place his actions in service of others. Of defending, of saving and helping those he loves. Being able to look at Griffith with pure apathy. No hatred, no love, nothing. If you stand inbetween Guts’ family though, he will stand his ground. It can be a HUGE call back battle to when Guts beat Griffith and left the band of the hawk. Look back to Guts loosing to Griffith at the beginning of the story. He lost because he was aimless, rageful, young, foolish. He lacked a dream and a goal besides surviving. Then next time they fought, he was calm. Collected, focused, and not intending in hurting Griffith. But defending his dream. I think also Casca plays a HUGE factor in finishing off/defeating Griffith. I do think we’ll get some sort’ve HUGE battle by the end of the story and I think Guts will have to learn his anger and hatred are holding him back and putting those he loves in danger. Ther Berserker Armor is also a metaphor for all this. Guts is most powerful in the armor when working with Schierke and able to control the beast of darkness. His blind rage only would lead to everyone he loves being killed, along with himself. If it even laid a finger in Griffith, I doubt Guts in the armor would be able to live long enough to do anything. TLDR; Guts and everyone against Griffith needs to let go of their hatred and instead of intending to kill him, they need to save. Help, protect. Recruit and bring back those who he’s brainwashed into joining his cause. Defend their homes, families, etc. And kill the idea of the Hawk of Light. Then I think gradually he’ll lose power more and more. Maybe enough for him to become vulnerable. Then the roles Guts and Casca play in? I’m not sure. But I do think Guts CAN defeat Griffith and I think that Casca is the one to end Femto.

My theory is that Griffith will be done in by both Casca and the Moonlight Boy. Griffith has doomed himself by bringing Casca to Falconia: Casca's pressence will cause friction between Griffith and his Apostles. Casca is a branded sacrifice whose body and soul belong to demonkind. Her sacrifice is part of the bargain for Griffith becoming a Member of the Godhand. By protecting Casca from the deprivations of the Apostles, Griffith is flaggrantly refusing to uphold the bargain that made him Femto. This will result in his control of the Apostles starting to slip as they question Griffith's authority. Eventually the Godhand may intervene and demand that Griffith fulfill his deal by destroying Casca.... only to be unable to due to the Moonlight Boy's influence. The Apostles will start to turn on Griffith, killing civilians which will result in civil unrest. Griffith will once again find himself losing control... Which is when Guts and his crew show up at Falconia. Basically, by raping Casca (and corrupting her child) Griffith inevitably screwed himself.

Here is my theory: Guts just needs to forgive Griffith, truly and fully, for Griffiths cosmic power he has over Guts to be lifted. Rickert was able to strike Griffith because he fell outside causality’s plans for Griffith, thus making him an outside force that can hurt him. As soon as Guts forgives Griffith, while not lifting the curse or the brand of the sacrifice, will lift Guys outside Griffiths plans for causality, allowing him to get the killing blow on Griffith as more of a mercy killing, ending the life of his once best friend, and in a sense putting down the rabbid dog he’d become.

Power of belief is an inherent motif to the story of Berserk. Also, the second time they fought, Guts was calm and collected, while Griffith was being a bitch and that´s why he lost. "Void is key" This haunts because we really don't know what was in Miura's supposed notes or whether they were written well enough to be directly interpreted into the story appropriately or with that intent in mind at all. I know Gaga formed before he passed and he would've likely released some info about future events to the staff but the way chapters have been panning out, I suspect that there are certain gaps in the info he left behind(not a slight to Gaga but I feel like the new chapters abbreviate his storytelling style abit more than I expected.) I don't expect his team to just release them but maybe some of previous notes and concepts for events that have already been published would assuage some anxiety. I'm glad berserk is continuing, let that be clear, but Miura provided this same staff with storyboards and notes on Duranki and it was way more inline with Miura's style of sequencing the story. This tells me that maybe Miura's notes were not comprehensive enough accurately translate his narrative style via them now that he's gone. Bittersweet.😢

Well. I have 2 takaways about the story so far: 1° Griffith already made his big mistake. Kidnnaping Casca again. For me, that is the PERFECT proff of his imminent downfall. Griffith failed in the Golden Age when he acted impulsively, by pure greed, and emotion. And he got f up. 2° I believe Hate its not enough to kill Griffith. Guts needs a deeper motivation other than his Pure Hate for Griffith. He NEEDS to let go of hate to be able to win against the Falcon. I dont know if he will have to forgive the Bird Man, lr something, but that might be it. He need to chose ONE FINAL time between his LOVE for his friends, including Casca, and his HATE against the Falcon. Hate will eslave and kill him, as a result of the Berzerking armour, and love will free him once and for all. I believe we are gonna see the conclusion of his Arc by the time the final chapters are released. And yes, i believe that there will be one final batle, actually, many final batlles between Team Guts and Team Griffith. But the PINNACLE of it all will be one final direct encounter between Guts and Griffith. Similar to when they dueled the last time before Guts left. But this time, Guts will not hesitate.

@@gio2953He was asked in an interview about the Godhand's goal and he said in a single word, it is "Void" and left the rest up to the imagination. Void is the oldest and most powerful member of the Godhand. It is pretty safe to assume he would be a larger threat than Femto. If Femto is an outlier and goes rogue do to some disagreement with the other members, I believe he would undoubtably have his work cut out for him. The big thing to think about Berserk is all the players. Everyone is like a chess piece moving. Guts is our main protagonist, and Griffith/Femto is his greatest adversary. However, Void is to Skull Knight as Griffith is to Guts. Their beef goes back ages. And Void absolutely has agency. Seeing that he is the ome to spark Femto's rise to power. Griffith had the will and determination, but Void is the one that gave him the choice. Even if we include the lost chapter, if it wasn't for Void Griffith wouldn't be where he is. Unless another all powerful demonic force gave him the choice to become a god.

A good subversion of expectations would be Griffith's fall leading to his ultimate victory. Griffith craves ultimate power, he wants to attain godhood. Martyrdom would set him up in the minds of all the people who follow the Holy See as a Christlike figure. He would gain an almost symbiotic relationship with the idea of evil, being the yin to its yang in the minds of the people. Their collective unconscious and will would literally make him the god of their universe.

I’m ngl, knowing how many inspirations Miura took from Devilman and other works of Go Nagai, I would not be surprised if Griffith doesn’t get defeated and instead he will destroy everything and everyone around him (Guts included) and will be left completely on his own. A king of his own world. He achieved his goal, but this goal doesn’t satisfy him anymore - if he is the only one alive, there is no evil, but there is no good. There is nothing except for him, and he is forced to live the rest of his live in complete solitude, like a purgatory he made for himself.

My theory is he will betray everyone for his own benefit. He will attempt to sacrifice all of humanity in order to become more powerful than the god hand, probably at the wedding with charlotte, as a ceremony, he will get everyone to mark the rune of sacrifice in their forehead like the skeletons below the torture prison tower in midland, and around this time, Sonia will realize what he did to Casca. She will have a moment of doubt and then when snooping around she will realize his plan, or he will show cruelty, proving her doubts real. then she will alert everyone, all of falconia will start to get against Griffith, and he won’t be able to control the uprisings except by using the demons to murder people, then the Kushan will start attacking the demons and when it all gets to the final battle, the godhand will betray Griffith, and he will cry and be like a baby, desperate, making a tantrum like the narc he is, this will make everyone not see him as powerful anymore and either Casca kills him when he tries to use his power on her, or it ends with guts sparing his life because he pities him, and Griffith living the rest of his life in shame, the worst punishment for him

I disagree with your interpretation of the slap. I’ve always assumed that Griffith allowed Rickert to slap him because subconsciously he regrets his sacrifice and feels he deserves to be punished. Femto isn’t a removal of Griffith’s humanity, but a suppression of any moral, selfless emotions while enhancing his desire and ambition to a distorted extreme (hence being referred to as the king of longing). I believe Miura’s final chapter supports this, as in the brief moments when Griffith changes back from the moonlight boy, he’s in touch with his humanity once again and is aware of the depravity of his actions, resulting the tear he sheds.

It's 100% going to turn out this way. I wrote a post a while back that basically said the same thing: -people will lose faith in Griffith weakening him -with some key help from the moonlight boy, Casca will be the one to deal the final blow alternatively, there is also a scenario I could see where they don't even kill him at all. just depower him and leave him to his fate. but I do think it's more likely that Casca does the deed. basically sacrificing her own child in the process. I still don't know how the God Hand fits into this all. Surely they must be defeated too. Would killing Griffith be enough to sever them and the Idea of Evil from reality? Or is there going to have to be a lot more to it than that? I could perhaps imagine Guts getting his sword powered up like a giant Sword of Actuation, and in a final moment of "letting go of his brutal nature" flinging it right into the heart of the idea of evil or something similar to that and ending that thing.

Imagine this: Griffith sustains a disastrous defeat in the East. How? I do not know. Maybe a betrayal by Godhand. The news returns to Falconia. The people are shocked. Griffith returns defeated. His demons, Zodd especially leave since he is “no longer the strongest”. In fighting begins. Casca is still locked up, the people of the city are afraid, the city falls into chaos. Griffith takes the mask off to keep order, he reveals his demons. The city turns into for vs against him. Casca’s strengths returns to her and Griffith threatens to kill her and they actually talk about Guts. A battle commences between Griffith’s reduced forces and the Kushans and Guts crew. In the midst of battle Griffith cannot be defeated by Guts or anyone. Until a young boy or girl in Falconia, just like Griffith when he was young stabs him. Flashback to castle in distance. Casca and Guts reunite.

I always thought Griffith couldn’t be harmed due to both guts and apostles are marked by the brand of sacrifice therefore in a way connected to him. I’m fascinated by the idea of evil being a mirror of humanities collective unconscious, and as a result, malleable and ultimately at the mercy of the human race that it manipulates. I have this scenario in my head where Griffith ultimately succeeds in uniting the world under his rule. This victory would lead to an era of peace and prosperity, but also be a sort of double edged sword for Griffith….triggering hope for humanity and warping the idea of evil into something different. Being a god hand, this would sever the source of his power, evil. It would be a hollow victory for him on two fronts….hed have nothing more to fight for having conquered the world while also being robbed of his power that allowed him to do so, perhaps even being reverted back to his crippled human state and left to die alone filled with regret. He could be the ultimate final pawn of the idea of evil….as the human race, through Griffith, wished to move on to a more prosperous era. The idea of evil chose to end itself and allow humanity to enter a period of logic and reason.

My theory, you've heard it here first.. I believe the answer as to how Berserk will end lies in one of Miura's claim that : Void is the Key And i believe that resuming the right connections between Void and Gaiseric VS Griffith and Guts throughout Berserk story is the key.. For instance, we don't know much about Void's past but one of the element in his story that striked me the most was : That 1000 years ago, as the Sage that has been imprisoned, Void is said to have been TORTURED in the TOWER OF CONVICTION before becoming a God Hand.. Who has been tortured 1000 years later for a year in a TOWER(the tower of rebirth) before going into a sacrificial ceremony (?) Exactly : Griffith 1000 years ago, it is said that 4 or 5 angels were involved on Gaiseric's empire destruction. 1000 years later the god hand add a new member to their group of 4, Femto/Griffith making them 5 1000 years ago, we don't know if it was the sage who made the sacrifice for his own ambition or if he has been pushed to do so but notice the similarity between his situation and the one of Griffith again : I believe the Sage as Void became the fifth god hand member out of despair.. Notice also that there is an ambiguity as to know exactly the number of Angel(4 or 5)involved in Gaiseric kingdom doom. Here is the cliffhanger : what if it was because of king Gaiseric becoming the Skull knight(?) What if Gaiseric was a God Hand and that his aim was simply to no longer fulfill that role and force it to someone else (Void) ? I also believe that it is the Sage or Void who has been manipulated/forced by Gaiseric to become a God Hand and usher Gaiseric empire fall, not the other way around.. So as to Gaiseric going into a neverending journey/night as the Skull Knight for an obscure agenda.. Remember Void is the Key : Void who is said to have the ability to manipulate space as we see him redirecting Skull Knight sword of behelit against SK. Great !! Another parallel with Griffith (!) Who redirected that same Skull Knight's sword to Ganishka with a power involving space manipulation and did usher the great wave of the astral world(or the flood..) Like a certain Void and angels said to be the cause of the last empire cataclysm.. Now to all Berserk fan, i believe the Genius of Berserk story can only be understood in this light. What if actually the 'villain' of the story was Gaiseric/Skull Knight (?) What if the manipulated ones were in fact Void and now Griffith (?) What if Void is the key to Griffith's NEVERENDING fate ? Someone who has fulfilled all his goal/dream and who can no longer dream off one anymore, someone hollow : Femto What if the Genius of Berserk story was actually to set out an example as to what lies AFTER an ambition that is said to be absolute/narcissistic is set into reality (?) Once the goal of such ambition is reached and such narcissism gets to this sense of absolute power.. Will it be an eternal 'fantasy' or a nightmare (?) Once the absolute dream is realized, it can no longer be consider as a dream.. And what dream after the absolute realisation of the greatest dream ever would be greater than the best dream EVER (?).. : Exactly no such dream exist, NO such THING, or nothing. Therefore what would unfold after for the one who found himself in such a fantasy is a meaningless life without a dream WORTHY to be ever achieved, a neverending cycle/VOID without the STRUGGLE or the spark/excitement that come with life and being limited.. Notice that by throwing the STRUGGLE out of his life/the story : Femto becoming a nigh-omnipotent being, implicitly immortal (as long as the world tree exist and people believe in him) completely misses the point of what makes a dream worthy to be achieved in the first place : the STRUGGLE that he left to Guts hand.. And Guts actually has nothing to do to win against Femto, as he already won by staying WHOLE to himself while Griffith gave up what makes him whole, his humanity to his ambition but the readers should have realized it sooner.. Guts can win by 'losing' meaning doing nothing and let Femto have his fate resume if he can't step out of his own story.. The genius of Berserk is to show the fate of Narcissism and Absolute Ambition before/in regard to what is considered eternal and to affirm the preeminence of something greater than a story of Absoluty and Power, because if there is an idea of Evil according to the lore of Berserk, there is also an idea of Good, who is greater, that is GOD crystallized as the Goodness in Griffith, the Moonlight Boy in Berserk.. To finish my theory : Can Femto even with all his power unalive himself ? Can Satan cast Satan out of himself(?) ... Matthew 12 : 26 "If Satan drives out Satan, he is divided against himself. How then can his kingdom stand?" And here is the last scoop, Griffith/Femto has to get out of this neverending 'fantasy' he set out on himself because Guts obviously is human and will one day die (!) The solution for Femto would be to reconcile with that part of humanity he left behind with Guts and Casca(the moonlight boy).. Maybe Casca might help Femto through the moonlight boy to recognize the absolute absurdity/foolishness of his goal and that he has in fact already lost terribly against Guts since Griffith gave up the struggle absolutely against that very same destiny(the god hand and behind them Skull Knight endless night of persecution) Guts struggled with.. For that only time(Void)and maybe Casca will make Griffith realize the gravity of his mistake which was to sell out his fate to an neverending doom/fantasy aka the endless night of the Skull Knight.. בֶּ֙רַע֙

I find it hard to imagine a scenario where Guts and the others are strong enough to defeat Griffith in battle, let alone the evil Band of the Hawk and the God hand. I like to imagine a Final Eclipse, where this time Guts will be ready and armed with his Dragonslayer and the Berserker Armor. This time, instead of the slaughter of the original Band of the Hawk, Guts new family will fight to protect itself and others. In parallel with Guts and Griffith, the Skull Knight will be the one to have his final duel with Void, defeating it, but becoming a hollow version of himself that has been consumed by revenge and has nothing else to live for. Instead, Griffith will punish Guts, trying to break his spirit, but Guts will show his greatest quality, surviving through everything that Griffith does to him, to protect his family, the opposite of what Griffith sacrificed. Griffith will become emotionally distressed, unstable by looking in Guts eye. Guts journey has become about acceptance, he has grown as a human after everything they have been through. After being beaten down by Griffith again, Guts slowly gets up, and lifts his Dragonslayer yet again. Griffith asks him what he hopes to achieve, how long does he think he will last. Guts says something like "Well, you know me, they tell me I'm stubborn. We humans will keep on struggling for as long as we can." After some more clever and emotional dialog which I don't know how to write, something related to how this "Evil" and the God Hand have been manipulating him and everyone else, trying to force their fate, Guts sticks his sword on the ground and extends his one hand to Griffith, telling him he forgives him and tells him he can still come back. Guts tell him he knows this because the God Hand doesn't know him like he does, that his will is stronger than anyone and that he is as stubborn as he is, that he too was his only friend. After that, Griffith torns his helm open, revealing his face and crying eyes. Once again, Guts is the only one able to make Griffith put his dream aside, a dream he realizes has been "forced" upon him but these forces trying to control his fate. After a brief moment of resolution between the characters, a quick exchange of words between Griffith and Casca, Griffith now fights off the remaining members of the God Hand, allowing Guts and the others to escape, preventing the Final Eclipse from being complete. The world goes back to normal, magic is diminishing as the years go by, humans still have to struggle and be vigilant, as evil is always around the corner, but they accept it and continue to live their lives as best as they can, and for the time being, things are now better and peaceful. Guts, Casca and the others live happily for some years, and one morning Guts simply dies, peacefully in his bed, his body finally succumbing to a life of struggle. I think Guts story is leading him to this evolution of his character, where he grows as a person, so just a final battle where he defeats Griffith just wouldn't be "satisfying" at this point. As corny as it is, forgiveness seems to be the proper final step for him, the understanding that they all made mistakes and were tempted by evil, even Griffith.

I can't help but wonder if Guts will be aided, healed, and freed of the Brand of Sacrifice by the Four Cardinal Kings mentioned by Shierke, and become their FIFTH member, becoming a literal parallel to Griffith. We'd need to know more about them before knowing for sure, but there's already implications that they're the good-natured equivalent to the Godhand. the god slap could have only been a result of Griffith allowing that to happen. There are a number of ways the series can end. But I think, the series tends to have a lot to do with cycles and the past repeating itself (albeit with some key differences). 1. When it was Guts v Griffith in their first encounter, it was almost evenly matched with Griffith edging out the win due to a number of factors 2. When Guts left the band, he left Griffith utterly feeling powerless 3. Likewise, also how Griffith left Guts feeling in their latest encounter. With that thing in mind, there's also a likely tendency of Griffith to cause his own folly: 1. By expediting his conquest of Princess Charlotte and getting caught 2. By defiling Casca during the Eclipse, and being reborn into the physical world with the moonlight boy as part of his reincarnation I think even with the ability to see through causality, he will still let his own emotions (despite him saying he has none anymore) get the better of him. Either that, or the very bad scenario where he will ultimately redeem himself. Like, what if ever since he's assimilated into the GodHand, he's already begun to plot against the Godhand and the idea of evil, and everything he's ever done ever since has been all to take them down (with himself along with them), ultimately sealing his legacy as the savior of the world. (yuck)

I agree that Casca will indeed be the one to end Griffith, I believe that it will happen a bit differently. We know that Guts is still carrying around that Behelit, and he is currently on his way to Falconia. When Casca wakes up again she will feel nothing but absolute distress and fear at being forced to be around Griffith yet again. I think that if Guts is able to be present for this, Casca could potentially activate the Behelit and summon the Godhand once again. The Godhand will only accept a sacrifice that means something to you, and I believe despite everything Casca still has deep rooted feelings for Griffith in some way, making him a worthy sacrifice. So Griffith will ultimately be destroyed, at the cost of Casca becoming either an Apostle, or taking Griffiths place as the 5th member of the Godhand

Blew my mind when I noticed - what do you make of it? I agree that Guts - probably - won't kill Griffith. I think it makes more sense for someone like Casca or Rickert to play a large part in Griffith's downfall. But when I saw the Dragonslayer/hair panel, I was like "OOOHHHH!! HE CAN DO IT" lol.

I think it's possible that Guts dragonslayer has an almost mystical sense to it. There was always one question that caught my curiosity. Was there ever an Eclipse, in which the owner of the Crimson Behelit denied the Godhand during ceremony and refused to make the sacrifice? Because it's quite odd to me, which lengths Godhand members take, to ensure the successful outcome of a newly born Godhand member. They use their perception of causality to manipulate destiny hundreds of years ahead. At the ceremony itself, the first they did was to isolate Griffith as far as possible from the Band of the hawk, so they can start to manipulate him without any disturbance. But, in the end - they can't enforce someone to make the sacrifice. So, what would have happened if Griffith refused? This is fishy in my opinion. Going suchs lengths to ensure the outcome, feels like there's more to it. Like an unspoken consequence for the Godhand, if they fail to give birth to a new Godhand member
@ModernVagabondIsHere

In my opinion, I don't believe anyone has ever refused a crimson one. The story mentions how griffith was always meant to find the crimson egg. He was meant to be at this place in time and keep moving towards his dream. I imagine a similar fate was upon every other person who encountered it

Each Eclipse is a gamble and they manufacture an incomprehensible and unspeakable illusion, to reduce the risk of getting denied as low as possible. I wonder. Maybe he reverts to his former tortured self), and Casca will be able to kill him because she will not fear him, but pity him. Guts' role will probably be killing apostles to clear the way to Griffith, maybe heroically dying in the process (I'd like a happy ending though lol)? Also it’s a bit of a contradiction to say only someone who attacks not wanting to kill can kill him but then say casca will do it. You don’t think she wouldn’t hate him for what he did to her and guts and everyone else?

I think of it as sort of pity, not hate. I can see casca pittying griffith for who he truly is, and killing him with those thoughts in mind and not hate. Perhaps when griffith is brought down to his human form, that's when it could happen

We don't know how he was able to land the blow. That's how Miura wrote. We don't know how Guts can lift the Dragonslayer. This RU-vid video is just speculation.

Me too, i.ve always thought the one who will end Grifith will be Casca. However if what you say it.s true, Guts aswel might not be so lucky...dunno why

Griffith will be wounded by the Casca, which will give Guts an opening to kill him.

>Griffith will try to dethrone god hand. He has attempted this before to obtain power. >He will use another beihlet to try to initiate another eclipse, but become consumed by the "idea of evil" and die. >Everything he's Built and illusions of a kingdom he's created; events he has caused will have ceased to exist. Including what he's done to casca. >Guts ends up remembering it all because he witnessed the eclipse via his Beihlet. >Guts and Casca live happily ever after.

He needs Guts for killing the God Hand. That is one of a few reasons why he fucked Casca. That is the reason he didnt kill Guts yet and why Zodd doesnt attack Guts. Griffith wanted Guts always as his right hand.

There's something that might work Griffith it's trapped in the body he shares with the moonchild, if schierke pull the ethereal body of the moonchild then Griffith end up with a weaker apostle body, even the god hand has it's limits like slan made of mutilated flesh when faces guts or conrad made out of rats

I honestly don’t think Griffith’s downfall is going to be as climatic as people think…

No idea how it will lead up to this but I think guts and Griffith battle. The beast of darkness takes over guts and is just being beaten around by Griffith but he begins to change. It’s a full moon and is transformed into the moon light child. Guts approaches but Casca comes to protect her child. Guts kills them both while taken over by the beast of darkness.

That would be anticlimactic and not like our friend Guts. Plus, Miura said the ending would be happy. You've got a point that Guts and Casca could end up in disagreement over the Moonlight Boy.

Thats good...like it, maybe it will be even Rickert. What about the other God Hand members? or better Skull Knight and Void? Which have a similar story it seems? Or why wasnt it the same before with Skull Knight and Void. And also everything else. Who is Zodd? And what will happen to the Idea of Evil and the God Hand when Griffith falls. Will it just go 'the next round'...what is it with Guts es Behelit? And so on... Berserk is AWESOME! I dont know about this theory, nobody can say...what i know for sure that MUST happen is Guts dying. A HERO must die for a greater cause or an ideal to become a hero. Someone who changes the flow of thinking, so he changes the nature of humanity itself with his act. This story MUST have a tragic ending to become or better stay a masterpiece. That it teaches something and make you think about it. A f...ed up ending can destroy everything!!!

Miura did say that berserk would have a happy ending. However, I'm sure people will end up dying. I wouldn't be surprised if Guts dies while Casca lives

I think they will choose the moonlight boy over Griffith splitting them from the physical and the spiritual world making Fento spawn in front of everyone seeing him for what he truly is a monster because he would be so mad and panicked like when guts beat him or when they didn't want to make him king and exiled him in the torture. Dungeon Fento is so strong because he sacrificed everyone who looked up to him and did so much harm to them people who loved Griffith to get the power he wanted when he realized he wasn't enough and guts beat him and chose him self over him. I think guts will harm Fento but not Griffith. And he might just save casca and the moonlight boy finally and close the story.

While it's non canon & might be never be brought up again, idea of evil represent human desires in its most twisted form. so there must be the opposite of it, that is the idea of good. Who could access such a thing? there are three characters that may be gonna end up to meet idea of good. They are Shierke, Moonlight Boy, & Casca. All of them are coincidentally lost in astral plane. The pathway to the realm of idea or existence. I still believe Griffith will be defeated & being redeemed by moonlight boy. For Casca to be the one that put final blowntk his defeat would the highest cathartic moment of the series.

I think the idea of evil was removed for a reason. The idea of evil is an abstract concept in real life to explain suffering. Goodness is something we accept more readily, right? So we don't need a mythology to deal with goodness.

I don't think you're theory sounds implausible. Everything you've said tracks, I'll be satisfied if we get Guts mowing down the new band of the hawk while Casca adds the finishing touches! Maybe another slap thrown in by our boy Rickert.
