In this final installment of the Han Dynasty overview we look at the reign of Wang Mang during the short lived Xin Dynasty and the Eastern (or Later) Han Dynasty that followed. The Eastern Han was a period of endless skullduggery at the imperial court where the palace eunuchs rose to power and meddled endlessly behind the scenes. The final years of the Eastern Han were times of great chaos where the empire ultimately broke up into three kingdoms. This was the time of Cao Cao, Liu Bei and Sun Quan. When the Eastern Han ended in 220AD, the three kingdoms of Wei, Shu and Wu battled for supremacy in China for sixty years.

You're certainly right in that the three kingdoms period gets a bit complicated to the point that it would be easier to have some document on hand like an affinity graph to connected who was allied or related to each other. The lesser important characters especially are hard to remember. When I tried the Roman history podcast I got stuck because it was hard to follow. It was like listening to names with no context or proper understanding of that period.

Dynasty warrior is take from the fall of Han era, at where, in history of big war in big army amount at all warlord at 100+ k army at all waelord, and the great war of after the fall of Qin Dynasty, who unity all china, Liu Bang is the third emperor who use title of Emperor, after han fall, we have 1 dynasty basic from han , we call sull dynasty, and later Song Dynasty is succes back Han Dynasty who are the emperror from liu bang bloodline before Tang take over

Amazing time ... Eastern Han was plagued with almost every problem imaginable - child emperors succeeding to the throne and dying young, destabilizing imperial policy, eunuchs and consort kins vying for power, destabilizing imperial policy, and perhaps most importantly, local nobilities monopolizing regional offices and resources, destabilizing imperial policy - it’s a wonder how the dynasty lasted as long as it did.

I've read that the reason Cao Cao tied together was because his northern troops weren't used to fighting in the rivery, marshy lands of the south.

If you're talking about red cliff, yes. I've seen it several times over the last decade as I grew up a fan of the romance of the 3 kingdoms book and games as well as the dynasty warriors games. Very, very good movie. Highly recommend watching it.
