The fall of Toledo | Conquest of Andalusia: Musa bin Nusayr and Tariq bin Ziyad
After the fall of Cordoba... the expected step for Tariq ibn Ziyad was to advance with all his strength towards the Gothic capital of Toledo...
But first he had to devise a plan to deal with the scattered Gothic forces in the Iberian Peninsula, which might endanger his army if they advanced towards him.
At the same time... Musa bin Nusayr was crossing the Strait of Tariq towards the Andalusian lands to announce the start of his campaign and his joining the Muslim army that were stationed there.
