Are you sure that whatever is on the left side when your melding will keep their traits or is it whatever you choose to preserve on this screen will keep their trait? Please see upper left corner 16:18 labeled preserved familiar you can choose which one to keep with their traits I think. So base on your guide if your traits are on the left and you put a check and preserve the familiar that is on the right will you still keep the trait of the one on the left?
Actually u are right. In my case I coincidentally always selected the left one. Hence maintained that trait. But in reality, whatever familiar u choose for attributes, u get the traits of that one. Thnx for pointing it out. I will mention this again in q&a, but wanted to clarify this right away.
Thankyou. Still as clear as mud. Traits. Skills. Passive. Active. Aberrant. Stars. Convert. Meld. Bleurgh. Looking forward to a few weeks when someone can produce a 5 minute clear and concise version of this and I've become much more familiar with all of these terms and various visual aspects.
A couple of things Melding - allows you to buff your stats slightly if the pet you choose to preserve has a much lower stat then the other in your meld ex Pet 1 Pet 2 100F 100F 60A 20A +1 (if you meld these two pets you will see a +1 beside the A stat because the difference was so great melding them will slightly buff Pet 2) 70I 70I 110R 110R F = Ferocity, A = Agility, I = Insight, R = Resilience - allows you to trade Traits based on whichever pet you choose to "preserve" so you can meld a pet with the Scrap/Salvage trait with your companion Pet if you want to consolidate the pet traits all you would need to do is preserve the pet with the trait you wish while also keeping the passives between the two pets you like most
@@JINXRSAMobile have to buy the contracts from the familiar store. Think it's near the essence transfer lady. They have limits like weekly or something
@siddgang Gaming tks again for a solid guide. I have a couple FAQ: 1. Is there a way to meld/convert ordinary non-aberrant pets without losing their rarity e.g. does melding/converting all gold pets guarantee a gold? 2. Is there a way to meld/convert ordinary or non-aberrant pets without losing the number of legendary trait or skills they possess?
Thanks for taking the time to explain this to us all. You were able to answer so many of the community’s questions about this system. A bit of constructive feedback: try to write a script before you make the video or edit your audio to help make the information clearer. You have a few sections that would have really benefited from a script/editing.
Thank you for explaining so much of this terribly confusing, awful awful system. Blizzard made such a god awful mistake with this whole thing, and it's implementation. Here's my question... what the heck should I do? I am a Battle Pass only F2P grinder. I have several alts for farming Plat. All within the guidelines. So in terms of my main character, what should I focus on. How do I grind the familiar system for the most effective pet? If you don't mind breaking it down into specific steps. Like "Step 1 keep every pet. Don't sell any. Empower them all to lvl 30. Step 2 convert every 3 pets to lvl 30. Step 3 Choose a b c when converting. Don't do x y z. Etc etc." Just so I know exactly what to do at every step. I could spend some platinum if it's really worth it. Like with legendary gems. But since it doesn't raise resonance, I don't see how it would be essential. I have no idea where this is going. Or how long this will take. And what difference it really makes. So damn complicated. Thanks man.
well I think your end game goal here is to have multiple pets with same species focusing on same advance traits example increase critical chance, reduce damage receive they do stack up... take note they need to be similar advance traits for them to stack up.. similar common traits doesn't stack together. Also I am not sure if traits are affected by strife since this is just new to the game if this is not affected this is huge. I mean advance trait crit chance level 2 gives 3 percent already not sure how much will level 3 and level 4 will give I think max will be around 10 percent.. so traits also have some traits gives bonus to max hp, damage to players I think etc. For legendary skills some pets have abilities to give you undying rage for 3 secs. every 70 secs I think not sure with the cd which is a lot better than phoenix ashes. Also all utility traits is just a big help overall while grinding the game which is 80 percent of your time is spent here grinding. Some pets can heal, give shield, protect you from knock back effects etc.
Same and 100% agree. I personally am ignoring the pets completely until someone produces a clear, simple, conscise, BRIEF explanation in TOTALITY. I've got quite a few pets and melded some and played around with contracts and yep agree totally confusing totally unintuitive and totally garbage. It makes me not want to play its that bad especially combined with the fact I'm stuck as an immortal again and i HATE being an immortal. BLEURGH.
@@bfam6066 omg yes... Absolutely. Whomever came up with this whole system was (and I don't use this word casually)... completely RE TARTED. I understand they wanted to add another pay to win aspect in the game. Where F2P could take part and help fuel the economy. But this is just madness. Unexplained madness. A chaotic mess of random details. With almost NOTHING explained. They should have, at the very last, introduced this as a test system. And waited for feedback from the community. Gave us what we wanted, and then cranked up the p2w (as usual).
@@carpeimodiem sorry I find that the instructions they gave are clear now that I am doing it. The more you do it the better you understand how it works actually.
I need advice bro. A get normal, not aberant goat. 2 gold skills, other are blue. And 175 / 150 stats. What i should do next? Exchange attributes or try to meld and get more gold skills? And how and when i should turn goat into cat? Thank u
While melding I keep getting 2 of the same yellow passive skills. No way to change them, so pet ends up with 2 of the same skill. How can I change that or should I just end pack?
Also worth noting when converting it will be the same type as one of the 3 used, so if using 3 the same you can ensure you will get the one you want with a chance to be aberrant.
How pricing on market works. I see every gold rare skill enables x2 in uptick in prices. Do legy traits impact the max possible price? Do legy skills impact max possible price? And for how much?
My question is when is the best time to know when to convert and meld your main and best attribute pet.. i wasn't sure in your video about how my yellow skitterwight would benefit from another pets attributes in the meld process.. how do i know which pet to choose to increase my yellow skitterwight's attributes higher than they are... when i see one pet having a specific attribute higher than my main yellow skitterwight, my skitterwight will inherit its better attributes during melding process?
I am thinking to do with 3x blue as minimum 4 stars and then convert it with stones Soo. If I do what's can be happen.. or.. how to get legendary skills..
Should you mix your blues and greys when converting? Any benefit to use all greys, all blues, or a mix? Does including at least one blue guarantee a blue from converting?
Idk of what resulting rarity you will get but there's a chance 30% chance you will get aberrant pet of either blue, yellow or legendary.. And there's always 10% chance of getting utility trait.. so that means for example you want a pet with Salvage trait you have 3.33% chance of getting it after using CONVERT of any rarity... so please always upgrade all your pets and don't hesitate to throw blue and white ones in the conversion pit 🚮
yes it will produce an entirely new pet with new set of traits. and for your second question you cant use conversion pre existing traits because you can only do conversion on level 30 pets and level 30 pets have traits.
Yes it can produce new traits if you use all the ordinary pets.. But in case you convert 3 aberrant pets and you also use that stones you have very high chance that your strongest pet's both traits and skills will be preserved.. and also chance to get legendary trait and skill or even legendary pet itself.
let be honest traits doesn't really matter. they are still strifed in pvp and bonuses doesn't stack. its all about legendary passive skills like one to refresh your cooldowns or to give you total immune for 3s. PVE is to easy to even bothered about this pets. so get one to collect your scrap and forget about this scam lottery.
I’ve watched yr vid again and again but still don’t understand about the PET!! Why developers make it so complicated, it more harder than calculus root square fluid theory!! I getting bored Dialblo now.
Hi Sidd, I have a few "whale" questions that I hope you can help me with. 1) I would love to activate the traits of my Aberrant pet but how do I raise their attributes to the max as I cannot find the meld button. 2) How do we "evolve" pets? I see a two headed cat around in westmarch, how do I get that other than buying from the market? 3) What do we fill the bonded pet slots with? The companion, I assume, is to be a legendary aberrant companion with all legendary skills and traits. Then what do we fill the bonded slots with? One utility trait pet per slot?
Same questions it's all a real mystery. I'm ignoring the pets/familiars for now until a few more weeks pass it's just far far too confusing and I don't want to waste time and money on mistakes.
1) Aberrant can only be converted no melding like you said, so to activate traits you need to swap attributes or convert and pray. Only yellow pets can activate normal traits and only legendary pets can activate legendary traits. 2) hmm I'm not 100% sure, I think it's either luck from conversion, or just based on the rarity of the pet and skills. 3) bonded slots are used ONLY to get more traits your main companion doesn't have, a pet can have up to 6 traits at max (99% sure), so you need to get rest on bonded pets, bonded can be yellow/blue/legendary (yellow for activated yellow traits, legendary for legendary, blue or higher for utility traits)
Thanks for info: is it better to covert all animals of same family ? If I want a cat after conversion and put in 1 cat/2 other animals, where should I put the cat to make sure the new converted animal is a cat?
how do we increase familiar's attributes other than exchange? Suppose I got a familiar of 3 traits and I want to unlock them, and I don't have other high attributes familiar right now. Ty in advance
Hey siddgang, thank you for this great video and all the other videos you make. I'm trying to make a strong cat pet, for now, I converted only 3x0-stars cats multiple times and got only a 1-star cats. Should I meld my cats to 2-3 stars before conversion? or better to keep converting with 0 stars?
Using conversion stones DOES NOT secure pet rating, despite what game says. Seems like stones favour preserving legendary skills over pet rating. Omni Flash did some tests yesterday, he converted yellow pets (with stones) and got a blue one :(
