Question: Who is the panel Senator that always is last to speak at every one of these Senate information sessions? What district does he Represent? That being asked and knowing he is a Democrat. Has anyone been able to find out IF he has been in contact OR been contacted by DA Fani Willis? Cause he sure is fighting for her in this Committee. What does he get out of trying to discredit each person that goes before the Senate panel? Don't tell me he is just doing his job, he's taking it further than that. He not very successful at this either. God bless Amanda Timson and her great lawyer who was not going to take any of the Sen Weasel's comments. line of points OR subtle abuse of his client.

The chairman of the committee is asking excellent questions. She is giving very detailed answers on the particulars of the grant process & monitoring it.

The benefit of this hearing in the Senate is that her testimony becomes public knowledge to be used in deciding who to vote for in November.

As an educator, I’ve co-written grants. They are very specific and every penny must be accounted for and spent exactly as the grant specified.

How are the people of Fulton County not furious that their tax dollars are not being spent on their youth?

I don’t know about other states but this Fulton county DA has certainly opened the underwear drawer of the state of GA. I hope this is the worst run state in the US and is not the norm. There is absolutely zero oversight at any level in GA counties. No one is running things. Everyone is doing their own thing. I would think the residence of these counties and this state could easily look around and furiously demand better. But it seems that it’s “no one’s fault” and no one answers to anyone. So who is acting in the best interest of the residence? Fulton Co specifically is a disaster with no light shining ahead. God bless those that have been abandoned to the jail and are at the mercy of this absent and corrupt political system. So sad.

Amanda Timpson comes off as utterly competent and completely credible - almost the exact opposite of what I see from Fanni Willis. Another plus is that unlike Fanni, Amanda doesn't leave everywhere she goes fouled with a mendacious odor.

I hope Ms. Timpsons attorney is a good one and is smart about the guidance he is giving. I agree with others, she deserves her name and reputation restored. And just as important, the system in place to protect good and trustworthy employees was sorely lacking here and definitely needs to be overhauled. Ms. Timpson was much more patient than I could have been. And I’m afraid that every time I was instructed in any serious matter to refer to an adult professional woman as Madame, I would have just laughed. There is no way that would have happened. I watched the entire Amanda Timpson testimony in front of the Georgia Senate committee. I thought that Ms. Timpson represented herself very well with precise testimony regarding what were her concerns pertaining to the use of grant funds, and also what she experienced as a result of raising certain issues against what she considered were illegal violations that became of great concern to her. If what she expressed is accurate pertaining to her dutiful work consciousness and dedicated effort to be a honorable employee in the DA's office, I certainly wish her good luck in obtaining justice for herself, against what appears to have been her very improper and unfair treatment.

Having written and administered Federal, State and County grants, once it's approved and the monies are released, detailed documentation is required and signed by an officer of the Corp under the pains of perjury, at the risk of no longer being eligible for future grants. I worked at a technical school for ten years. My boss was a grant writer and monies in the states are set aside for specific NEEDED PROGRAMS, She was the Director of Adult Basic Education and Special Projects. So when the grants are written the wording has to coincide with the monies available for the program you need. She was VERY ADAMANT ABOUT WATCHING THAT THE MONEY WAS ALLOCATED TO FALL WITHIN THOSE GUIDELINES. Ms Timpson, knows what she is talking about, and you can tell she is conscientious about spending within the GUIDELINES OF THE GRANT SHE WROTE, AND WAS JUST TRYING TO PROTECT HER DEPARTMENT.

QUESTION: Did Ms. Willis seriously think she could escape scrutiny over the concerns raised concerning the misappropriation of grant funds or did her exceeding hubris & arrogance cloud her judgement the ethics she should have employed?

At one point it looks like the man in the back tells him to take his time putting them together but he insteads put them in his legal pad. I want to regain respect for these Georgia people, I used to because I always flew and stopped in Atlanta. It used to be a respected state. Ok, if Jim Jordan is watching: it’s clear that Judges in general are in dire need of supervision and tighter procedural regulations. You might consider legislating a panel of 3-5 judges to be elected/appointment (to be pondered), to review judges’ ethics an adherence to the laws in their courtrooms. Marchand’s actions demand it, among many others. I look forward to Congress proposing appropriate laws.
