Lovely soundtrack for a very a-historical film. Donna Reed was hardly believable as an Indian maiden (one of 2 times I've seen her in such a role). And there was no relationship between her character and Heston's character in real life. I like Hollywood historical dramas, but sometimes they take far too much license with history just to make the story have some "sex appeal." As for the fact that it's now near the end of 2020 in a year of ever increasing "wokeness," "Whitewashing" a White woman to play a Native American would be very badly criticized today. Do I personally care about that? No. But a lot of very progressive people make an issue of it. Donna Reed's character was well played in a respectful context to the character, but her acting wasn't great.
@@KERSTEN27 I completely agree with you, but it always amazes me the cringeworthy nature of some characters playing against their type -- and in 2022, it's sad that people just can't act in the role and we need to be so "authentic."
