Extremist groups are recruiting from the military and police: the very people who are supposed to protect us.
In fact, 1 in 10 Capitol rioters had ties to the military, and one-third of active-duty American troops say they’ve witnessed white nationalism in their ranks.
With intensive training and firearms experience, their presence in extremist groups presents a pretty dangerous combination. These are the people who, ultimately, decide who lives and who dies.
