You're better to orient those panels facing to the sky rather than standing vertically like they are. The more direct they can stay to the sun, the better... if you orient them South by South West (or even straight South), you'll take advantage. And you want to minimize ANY shading on those panels... even a few blades of grass will impact your solar production. You can mimic it by putting the panels in full sun and then putting a finger or two as a shadow on the panels and see the subsequent drop in production. They are fun to play with and are a bit addictive. :)

The folks using solar panels run an extension cord to the battery, which is kept indoors. I know you are just getting the feel for everything and am sure this is a great addition to your fish house.

I watched some of the other peoples videos on EcoFlow and they were way more professional and pretty much comparing them to other brands and had all the tech info etc. That is not me. Lol. I am just like most people, take it out of the box, half ass look at the pictures in the book and plug it in and see how it works. Figure out the other details later. That is really the only way I can do a video. Just be myself.

My Dad was one of the very first users of Milwaukee cordless drills when the battery was single digits years ago. Many a time he endured comments from other trades on his choice. But here we are over 40 years later, most everyone is cordless. Yes, please keep us updated on the pros/cons of solar power and storage units.

It's always a good idea to insulate the exhaust vent duct work. Keeps heat inside the duct until it's completely exhausted. Makes the unit more efficient.

Always something new to learn. That is what keeps life interesting. What are you going to do with 6 weeks down time after your surgery? You got to rest to heal. That will be a big challenge for you because you are always in the GO mode. God bless.

I will be moving around as much as possible just not lifting anything heavy. I am not sure when they will do it but unless this Wednesday when I go for my appointment to get it checked out they tell me I need to do it immediately, I will schedule it after duck camp sometime. I am not worried about deer camp but I have never missed a duck opener.

I'm pretty sure you will use that hose every time you use the AC, as most portable AC units work the same way. I think you leave it off when it's in heat mode. Your best bet on the AC is to put it on the counter so you can shorten the exhaust hose. The hose will heat up with the hot exhaust and add warmth to the air inside. You could also put something around the hose to insulate it as well to help. It looks like it's going to work really well for you guys. : )

Now you have two battery stations, including the one Zac gave you, you should be set for anything. Im pretty sure the bluetti can be charged by solar as well. Have fun with it all. 😃

We always add salt to the crawfish water so they purge the intestines of all the mud they eat.

have plenty of videos where I did that but if you read the studies, the salt does nothing to help them purge. I had so many people messaging me from Louisiana telling me what I was doing was a waste of time that I looked it up for myself. You are just wasting salt.

I agree! Solar is so nifty! I have a little 30000 mAh power station with a little, folding solar panel for laptop and phone charging if I need it. If I remeber correctly, it took 2 hours to charge the power station from 0 to 100% from the solar panel in direct sunlight. It's not great but it'll work in a pinch. It, also, charges small appliances.

Ive been saying we need a device like the eco flow but didnt know where to start. This was really great info. So much better than watching an advertisement. Very cool device! I have a blueddie of about the same size for my cabin. I have used a honda for 20 years and its been reliable, but i love these solar generators with solar. It runs everything for the cabin. I will use the Honda for power tools and compressors. It changed my game.

The alligator sausage was dry. You could not taste anything different with it compared to regular sausage except that it seemed dry. I am glad I tried it but no reason to buy it again.

I have always done the actual crayfishing videos on the Joe and Zach Survival channel. I met Melissa because I was going through my divorce and she (Melissa) commented on one of the mudbuggin videos and said "It is crawfish not crayfish" That was back in 2011 so I have been doing it at least that long. I have absolutely no clue who it would be good for. That is up to you, not me. It is very good for me and our lifestyle. It would be 100% good for anyone who wants to be prepared in case of an emergency. It is just a smart thing to have. We live a life that is all run on power. When that goes out your usual every day life ends. If you had this EcoFlow Delta 2 Max it could continue until the power comes back on.

Actually you can change the title. Left click your account icon in top right. Go to RU-vid Studio. On the left side click "Content" Then on the video in question hover your mouse over it, click on the pencil icon, "Details", and then you can change the title. Just save it and it is good to go.

Joe, brother, how many people will your boil feed? I couldn't possibly eat all of your boil by myself. I would guess maybe 10 to 15 people. Am I even close?

Depends on where they are from. If they are from Louisiana maybe 8 if they are from Minnesota probably 12. Lol. We ate it Saturday through Wednesday and now today Melissa took the rest and it is on trays ready for the freeze dryer. There was 2 trays worth left and one whole tray is potatoes.

You need to run both pipes on the AC. 1 piping it cuts its capacity way down.

Why would I want to suck in hot air that will then get cooled. It is always much better to suck the inside air in and then let it exhaust out. As the inside air cools it is then sucking in cool air to make cooler. Less energy used to cool the room.

@@NorthernSeclusion With 1 pipe for every CFM getting exhausted your bringing in 1 CFM from outside to replace it. This is less efficient that 2 pipes. When you use 2 pipes you are not increasing infiltration to the fish house and you’re bring air into the condenser and exhausting from the condenser. I’m an AC guy, I understand how these things work.

Lots of people add sausage to the boil. We have in the past and I like it but Melissa says it makes the crawfish and shrimp greasy and she does not like that.
