The show is called "The Fast Show" and ran from 1994 to 1997 (40 episodes). It was a show comprising short sketches (skits) one straight after another. Some were very short; some quite long, like this one. The line "I'll get my coat" is the standard finish for that character. It was shown under the title "Brilliant" in the USA. So many sketches to choose from.

In America, class is almost exclusively about money and wealth, in a lot of European countries and countries of the old world, Class is often tied to a lot of different things, like upbringing, social status within your peers, family background, job, money of course, etc etc

It’s not Monty Python. It’s from ‘At last the 1948 show’ It was John Cleese, Tim Brooke-Taylor, Marty Feldman and Graham Chapman.

Hi Tysheen, if you have seen the (Harry Potter) films, the actor who finished with "I`ll get my coat" played Mr. Weasley.

If you have to work to feed yourself, you are working class.

The reverse story to Monty Pythons 'Four Yorkshiremen' .

I have met and seen several members of the cast oddly enough. They must all hang around in similar areas of South Manchester.

This is almost a homage to Monty Python`s Four Yorkshire men sketch. You should check that out too.

This is a take on the 4 Yorkshiremen sketch. In that 4 northerners are arguing over who had it hardest. This is a play on that.

in UK ,middle class is mainly about social wealth and profession, ud need to be able to afford to go on vacation least 4 times a year abroad in a 4-5 star hotel , even dentists in UK can still be considered working class ,even a grocery store general manager earning £60,000 a year can be borderline working class, edit ,but yer ,this video is to mock the whole debate on what we call middle or working class ,its a very grey and vague definition
@treborschafer3945

I would argue dentists are by nature middle class but otherwise I agree. I am middle class just because of my job and background, but I am not really any better off than most working class people.

I've known people like this. A couple I knew bought a large house in a place called Twickenham & invited us over to show off their over expensive dwelling. It was quite a nice house but it was right under the flight path for Heathrow airport. We had to stop our conversation once every minute until the plane had passed. Despite the obvious noise pollution they could say that they lived in a posh area and that's all that mattered to them.

The class system in Britain is usually based on your financial wealth and social groups. Sometimes the middle and upper classes look down their noses at the working class and make themselves out to be really special. This is like an exaggeration of those people. Similar to the Posh Mum Catherine Tate character.

I went to a private school until I was 11 then Sec modern school. We had an upright piano at home which my aunties handed down to us. I had piano lessons at ten or eleven until the teacher suggested taking tests, never went again.

Paul Whitehouse and the guy who says he is secretly gay feature in the spoof Slade sketches with Vic Reeves and Bob Mortimer. Christmas with Slade and Simon Le Bon is a good one. Paul Whitehouse also features with Harry Enfield as Smashy and Nicey. The the two spoof DJs too.
