Mine is Black/ black interior, I just dont have the Bowers and Wilkins Wish I did, however Harman Kardon does very well though. This is a bad ass macine!!
@@Miggys.Garage The F8X M3/4 look incredibly aggressive. It's quite a task to make it's descendant even more aggressive. Honestly they have succeeded. The G8X M3/4 look INSANELY mean. I must admit, it definitely needed some time for me to start liking 'em but boy do I want one 🥵

I find that pretty silly how they added this feature to BMW cars. My friend has a 328i with M sports package and has this feature turned on. From the inside the car sounds like an M3/M4...lol but no sound on the outside.
Yeah it sort of stinks, but their market is split and probably slanted towards quiet rides. If they made the exhaust and engine loud enough for the inside imagine how loud it would be out. It is also one of the easiest things to disable with lots of tutorials online.

If someday one of those is mine, i would first: Deactivate the ActiveSound with a Selfmade adapter-PCB (thanks to an German Forum it's possible to "cut out" the System). Then a louder Exhaust system with Flaps inside (Controlled, if there OEM by the OEM Flap system). And you then have real, Flap controlled V8 Sound. Also, the Sound system isn't Busy anymore to make the Exhaust sound cancelling/boosting, which should result in a better Music sound quality.
Anything coming from the speakers is artificial. They never used to have to do that. Modern turbo engines though fast, sound crappy compared to their predecessors which is why they've had to start doing that speaker shit.
Yeah well turbos are here to stay. Turbos are amazing in my eyes because the amount of torque they bring is insane. I have an M4 witch has twin-turbo and its awesome. Alot of people complain about how it sounds, but when you hear it in real life, and when you drive it, it sounds sick. Sure it does'nt compare to the amazing sound of the e92 m3, but thats an old, thirsty and torque lacking engine.
I dissagree. Give it another 5-10 years and turbos will be dead and everything will be electric. There is no reason to stick with ICE anymore other than character and nostalgia and these modern engines have none of either.
thats your opinion, i think the interiour is much better then the current e-class i dont like these double tablet screens, looks a bit childish too me, not what mercedes stands for.
it's not really an opinion because in this industry if you're not moving forwards you're moving backwards. The interior literally looks the same as the last one with a better steering wheel and a bit more shine. BMW only put the minimum amount of digitalization on that gauge cluster so you still have the same old boring design on the outer edge. I love BMW but people need to start criticizing them more often or else they're going to stay complacent.
Amazing review. Literally sold me on the car and made my decision that much easier. Was in the market for 2016 M4 or 2020 M340i was torn between both of those but this here is the one.

Great review on an amazing car. Some of the comments crack me up. Way too many self proclaimed car experts who want to criticize this vehicle. As a current X6 M owner who's in the market for a new car, I'm impressed by the performance and refinement of this "tweener" M car. Haters be damned!
KuBi1337 it makes me mad! Especially on the one and two series. Same thing with Audi they will put s badges when you buy certain packages where with Mercedes you don't get an amg unless it's has amg engine, transmission, suspension, steering and more
Ten Year Old Girl mercedes does the same thing. amg, m, s-line, is just a package put on cars. mercedes always puts those 5 spoke amg wheels on everything too.
ten year old girl... this is a m engine, transmission, suspension, and steering. this isnt some kind of m sport package, what are you talking about? its also a daily driver, comfortable, can take the family to disney land and not cause stiff necks and backs that the amazingly horiible ride of the full M cars give. this has the performance of the M and the ride of a 530i, again this is not some m sport package or option. anyway what does it matter whats on the badge, its an amazing car, it also destroys its merc counterpart the amg e43, so i dont see a point to your statement other than to try and praise Mercedes even though they are clearly outclassed by this vehicle
Haha As a Mechanic I made a killing working on these German money pit machines. Lexus is like 2x cheaper in cost of ownership and the quaity is far superior than these Germans. You wonder why Lexus has been consistently topping Consumer Reports for nearly 20 year's as #1 as they set the industry quality benchmark. glad to see that you weren't biased since your C63. I love my M535i, spec'd the same as your friends (except the mighty V-8). But me being a BMW guy i noticed the small camera in the grill and you didn't mention the "night vision" that is on that car.....truly amazing especially when traveling thru the heavily wooded roads. Also a cool feature is that GPS can be displayed thru the heads up as well. I rented a 2017 530i, which interior wise was pretty much identical, and i thought that was an awesome feature on a road trip.
I love BMWs I have a 2015 X5 and it's a beast! I had a 2017 530i loaner while my car was in for maintenance and even with the 4 cylinder it was insanely impressive! Awesome cars
Just bought my daughter a 2010 BMW 535xi m sport package.. Shoulda bought it for me lol.. What a pleasure to drive..It was corporate owned and is immaculate..
Beautiful car... Great review and video... Unfortunately in 10 years half the gimicky features on that car won't work...and it will cost $10k plus to fix them.... That's my fear with cars with this much technology.... Things will be so expensive to fix that people will just leave the luxury superfluous features broken as they break outside of warranty...

Empire State technically it's not faster or quicker, but damn close in the 0 to 60. The bmw hits full torque (480lb-ft) at 1800 rpm, Cadillac hits it at 3600 rpm, bmw hits full horsepower (hp) at 5500 rpm and Cadillac hits it at 6400 rpm. The bmw with it's all wheel drive system gets all of it's power to the road and does it significantly quicker. Because of this if that Cadillac had equal torque and horse power the bmw would leave it in the dust. The massive hp 640 and massive torque 630 lb-ft are the only reason the Cadillac edges out the bmw for the Sprint to 60mph (the caddy is also about 200 pounds lighter), and I say barely cause bmw under estimates their times, meaning the m550i probably goes a little quicker than the published 3.9 seconds, and American cars are notorious for over estimating their times (I'm talking to you dodge hellcat), meaning the Cadillac may be a hair slower than the published 3.6 seconds. Top speed caddy wins all day long that horsepower will give it the edge in a long straight away, but the fact that the caddy is rear wheel drive and a little slow getting to full power, all that HP and torque take some time to reach the road there for allowing the weaker bmw to keep up in the 0 to 60... But only in the 0 to 60. The CTS-V is absolutely amazing by the way!
It's also interesting that a Lexus with 414 horsepower takes a second longer to achieve the feat compared to the BMW. Even a Camaro SS and Mustang GT can't match the BMW in 0-60. Looks like BMW really has something secret going on in their drivetrain ...

Morning i eat sleep and dream of bmw i have been a fan of bmw all my life i have the v12 v8 v6 2.3 3.0 and they are the best car on the road they just keep going and going i meant to say i have owned these cars i would love to own the 550 v8 to me the v8 is very quite it does not seem to have the growl if i owned one the exhaust wood have to be changed for sure but overwise wow what a beautiful car so sweet. Enjoy driving the 550i.
I have a 2016 550i rear wheel drive...M Sport and loaded with all the packages, same 445 HP turbo V8 as the 2018...I added the BMW CF front splitter and rear spoiler and mine is also white with black...I absolutely love her, but I will be getting a new(er) one soon as I have a hankering for the hand free driving driver assist package in the new models....but I'll wait a couple years.

It cannot beat the previous generation M5. In fact it won’t even beat the old V10 M5. The only thing it can do is win from 0 to 60 due to AWD. From a roll - 60 to 160, both the previous generation M5 and the V10 will destroy it
Not all Rear wheel drive are created equal... Porsche rear wheel drive has so much grip at launch, its crazy. Big tires + rear engine = great grip for rear wheel.
