Owerri is a glorified worthless useless shithole town, that's why most Imo indigenes are running to Onitsha and Awka to live. Only Awka, Enugu, Abakaliki, are decent in igbo land, Owerri is another Aba. Shame

Yes, development is a process but the design MUST allow for certain changes in future. For example, if you build roads with no consideration ( or space) for sidewalks or pedestrian walkways, how will they be added later? They are building a third world perception into the very city design. Thereby even a brand new road is already outdated on its completion date with open gutters, lack of markings, road signs and pavements.

If you split the country now due to the current issues, what happens when you experience problems in those newly found countries? Do you split further? I'm not convinced that division is a way forward, especially in Africa where we've been divided by the colonisers. We cannot be furthering that division ourselves. Instead we should come closer together, we need each other more than any other continent due to our struggles as a continent

My brother, Awka is my hometown where I was born and brought up so I know what am saying. Mom and dad are from the main Awka na Aso enwe and not other towns around like Okpuno ,Isiagu and Nibo that claim to be Awka. My family house is around Eke Awka.

My brother,I have traveled far and wide.i can tell you that from what I have seen in other state capital across the country that my home town of Awka is the least and worst develop state capital.Awka lack good dual carriage road and the governor made the matter worst with the style of flyover that he constructed at the 3 major strategic junctions in Awka.i just pray that the incoming government of Soludo will do the needful that is expected of him in giving Awka a facelift as a befitting state capital.

4 major junctions need well built flyover like what we have in Abakaliki town and this places are Unizik junction,Regina, water board crossing over to Ifite and interchange at Ezeuzu/Immigration junction which has become accident prone.

I said that an interchange flyover need to be constructed at Ezeuzu junction while other junctions mentioned needs only flyover. New Awka city need to be mapped out around Agu where the new Gov't house will be cited just like you have in Owerri.the new owerri is almost built up
