good to see scoots on the box had to grin at comments parka "jacket" & mods listened to the Who.THe Who being a rock band were not that popular with most "mods"in the 60s in fact being called a mod was a bit naff. All changed with that film all to the good of scene.
Least he has changed the tyres! When I first saw this about 25(?!) years ago sitting in Gran Sport, he (Stuart) said they were original tyres from the 60's! Whether he was joking or not, I don't know, but they were very very old ! lol
And back in the 80s over here in Britain we had them (called the Rossa 350) but you're missing the point. This was using a Lambretta engine, not a transplanted motorbike unit.
Actually, most of the parts were lambretta (most importantly in this case, so was the engine) As for the looks, google the original lambrettas Model A through to F, And lastly... when this scooter was first built, it was in the days long before sad old blokes, with more money than sense, were going through their mid-life crisis and people were just glad to get rid of 'that rusty bit of junk' taking up space in their shed. So left to rot? Or saved and ridden?
It must break your heart, you obviously being a great lover of all thing VESPA. I bet you collect them and can spot any part of a VESPA in amongst a pile of old car parts eh! Idiots huh. We're surrounded by them....
