@herosrevengesburner4065 Lamar is a better athlete obviously but having fast af player and a qb that can't throw to them over 15 yards away would hurt them more than help Lamar is super over rated
Fingers crossed. Been a *long* damn time since it's felt genuinely good to be a Dolphins fan. (especially so since I'm on the west coast of Florida and they've ALWAYS been my team, surrounded by Bucs fan *sigh*)
@@DesignerDrew Also dunno how old you are, but I grew up watching Marino get to the playoffs almost every year and the youngins here don't realize that at that time he was considered the best EVER. Even at the NFL HOF in Canton they already had basically a whole wall just for Dan.....while he was still active QB. I saw him play live once, at a monday night football game (when Monday Night Football was a huge deal) against the steelers, sadly we lost, but still cool to be there. So when people say "They can go really far", I just don't hold my breath. When I watched them they were super talented too, meanwhile the Bucs were the laughing stock of the league in skill, record, and even uniform (though I miss the pirate with the knife in his mouth). We also had one of the greatest coaches ever then too in Don Shula and another great in Jimmy Johnson. And yet not once did we make it to the AFC championship game. (I became a serious fan in roughly 89, so after Marinos farthest season). Funny how much shit changes. The bucs have won multiple rings since then. Brady is hands down the best ever. Monday Night Football is gone. And I can't name a single player on my "fave" team. Actually kinda hope they don't do well since it's the only thing keeping me from completely abandoning the sport for good. Hate being a hypocrite about the awful and massive CTE issue....yet still watching. Already given up UFC and boxing, only sports I loved more than football.
@joenobody5913 I'm 15 and got into football 8 years ago so this is def the best dolphins team I've seen play ever, I wish I could of seen Dan Marino live tho..my grandma and old teacher met him up close and they both stressed alot about how big(tall) he was
I remember in highschool I played football the obvious differences between elite athletes that get attention and the ones who no one cared about was SPEED. It wasn't bench press, squat nothing. It was always speed that was the common denominator. Even lineman with "quick feet" got more praise
@BLITZ Sorry but they are not the fastest team in NFL history. Dolphins 100m times Achane 10.14 Hill 10.19 Mostert 10.22 Waddle 10.82 1990 Raiders Ron Brown 10.06 Sam Graddy 10.09 Willie Gault 10.10 Terry McDaniel 10.35
@@whoozyyy well yeah, the dolphins have a similar problem to the cheifs, who for the past 5 years or so have had an incredibly high power offense but mediocre defense. Thing is the bills held your incredible offense to only 20, which should never happen with all the weapons at your disposal. Granted it is still early and i'm really excited to see how the dolphins will play come playoffs
@@savage8315 it's been the story of the Dolphins the entire 41 years that i've been alive. When i was a kid we had the best QB ever (at that time) but no running game and a mediocre defense. In my teenage and young adult years we had the running game most teams would be envious of and a strong D, but no QB. I'll be honest and admit for the last decade I've not watched a single game, and only a handful of actual plays, because getting let down for 30 years fucking sucked. This year I've paid attention to the standings and think I'll actually be watching a game in the near future. I really hope they can hold it together, but at this point it's wayyyy to premature to be talking "playoffs". Keep that shit down bro.
I keep of hearing the eagles fans say, to counter speed is too be physical or a good defense is a good offense controlling the ball and keeping Tua and Miami's offense on the sidelines,im gonna quote Mike Tyson again, Everybody has a plan until they get hit!
I timed an approximate 40 yard time for Su bingtian and had him at 4.05 But he's a sprinting specialist and that was on track with starting blocks. I can't see anyone running a legitimate 4.09 for the 40. I doubt we'll ever see a sub 4.15
@@ListenEffYou Not as fast as the 90 team. Brown was naturally fast but not close to world class, Alexander Wright was track trained but does not have a 100m time, James Jett 10.16 100m, Rocket has a 10.2 hand timed 100m which converts to . Ron Brown 10.06, Willie Gault 10.10, am Graddy, 10.09, Terry Mc Daniel 10.35. That is it right there.
Al Davis was trying to build this team, unfortunately he was too far ahead of his time. Now these days kids start to hone their skills younger, they get to the league much better football players than the fastest guys Al had to choose from
Not suggesting for a minute that all of the players were at the same level as the current Dolphins squad but the 93 Raiders might want to have a word about being the fastest team in NFL history. Tim Brown, Willie Gault, Rocket Ismail, James Jett and Alexander Wright at WR…that receiving line-up was peak Al Davies…From memory, they also had James Trapp knocking about in the secondary, who was another properly fast guy. I reckon those Raiders would take these Dolphins in a hypothetical 4 x 100…
Well saying the super fast Dolphins players have the fastest speeds ever recorded in the NFL is somewhat disingenuous. While the NFL started testing tracking a few players metrics in game in 2009, the technology was completely ineffective. It wasn't until 2014 that they partnered with Zebra and then started tracking more players. And in 2016, they added tracking to the balls. The league is over 100 years in existence and tracking has only been in effect for 9 seasons. And even then, it wasn't until 2018 when the league partnered with Amazon and started recording the speeds & sharing the data with the teams. So only 5 years of data so far exists when it comes to player speed, the metric you are discussing specifically. So while it's technically true to claim these are the fastest times ever recorded, that's because they have only been recording these times for a couple of years in a league that dates back more than a century. That's like only tracking weather for 5 years then saying the latest hurricane is the worst one ever recorded in human history. Technically correct but intentionally misleading and 100% wrong if you have the impression that was an historic storm.
Miami Dolphins have been playing well with their offensive weapons. If they stay healthy, they can go a long way. They have Devon Achane, Tyreek Hill, Jaylen Waddle and Raheem Mostert were all track and field stars in college.
@@kame99023 one is coming from a trap game not the eagles or 49ers 😂 and then because we secure the no.1 seed we let our starters rest for 2 weeks before our home game in round 2 for playoffs.
Keep flippin them hater burgers. Flippers only have 2 tough games after the chiefs. Even if they lost those two and the chiefs they'd still be 12-5. But it's unlikely they will lose to all 3 teams so even if they only beat one, an impressive 13-4 finish. Only way the Dolphins don't have a big finish one way or another is if the Bills manage to tie us (they hold tiebreaker obv) OR, they do the typical Lolphins joke like last season. But last season's collapse started much earlier and lasted much longer Tua was constantly injured. If Tua stays healthy, and Tyreek and Waddle and Mostert... I would say bet on Miami to go deep in the playoffs. First time I've ever said that as a 26 year Dolfan hand to God. Tua isn't the best.. He's maybe top 12... but with these weapons, they pushed him to #1, and few have been able to stop it. Technically the Fins are 6-1-1(No Contest) They were blatantly hosed against the Eagles by the Zebras multiple times.
They only started recording those top speeds in 2015 or something, fastest recorded doesn't necessarily mean fastest ran! I would bet the house that Bo Jackson on that 97 yard TD or Darrell Green's chase downs of Dickerson and Dorsett were faster top speeds!
ANNNNNNNND they just ended up a THE SIXTH SEED. Finesse team that can't hang with the physical teams. Speed is good but the better teams they've faced have exposed them. And it will continue. KC sucks so they MIGHT beat the Chiefs the way the Chiefs have been playing. But God help them if they face the Ravens. And I'm NOT a fan of any of those teams. I've been a Cowboys fan for 46 years so I ain't saying NOTHING about my team. 🙏🤞
Was looking for this comment heheh. But I could say the same about cowboys too. Niners beat em up, knocked their chinstraps off then sent em home. God help your team and head coach if they lose to the buccs this weekend. GO NINERS
Would love to see the four of them race in the offseason and no one talking about the fact that MOSTERT IS 31??! Really wish the niners woulda kept him. Imagine him with CMC??! Dude in his 30s running faster than some of the fastest guys in the league in their 20s. My money would be on Tyreek but if Mostert was even three years younger, he would win it no question
and with the division the line 1/7/24, the Bills showed the Dolphins again. Don’t see them making a deep playoff run this year but good luck in the postseason!
@@dariusdafigga they only beat 1 plus .500 team all year (Dallas) they have plenty of talent on offense, but they need more pieces on defense. Injuries have been a issue late and they are going to be down on defense against KC in brutally cold temps. Hill, Waddle, Mostert, Achane, Davis are all questionable on offense then Howard, Ramsey, Elliot, Holland on defense are as well, plus Chubb, Phillips and Van Ginkel out....They probably don't get past KC.
