But above all, he’s a family man.

The fact that these movies are so far fetched and in no way possible is what makes all of the movies pure greatness. I mean if the Rock could hold a helicopter still with 1 arm he should have been able to toss the harpoon himself and pin Dom’s car without breaking a sweat.
That novelty wore off after they started whoring the series because of Paul Walkers death. It’s one of the few franchises Hollywood knows won’t flop enough to lose money, so they will milk this cow for many years to come, im sure.
You might be wondering how Dom became a nuclear weapon stealing, submarine destroying, martial art master with spec ops level weapon skills and military tactics knowledge. He used to do illegal underground street racing, so he's trained for this.
That harpoon was literally held still using a car Yet the moment dom just shrugs it it flies off Then again that's the guy that can destroy an entire parking lot with his kick
I'm amazed that considering Dom is the best driver of the franchise known for using powerful law defying cars they actually managed to catch up and damage his car.
@@romerotutor3921 Yeah though to be honest I really liked how wild Brian was on 2Fast 2Furious, especially when he was willing to crash the Evo head on with the Yenko Camaro just to win.
@@dragonkingoscurare1092 He was wild for sure. He takes so many strategic risks behind the wheel in each movie. He's as agile in a car as he is on his feet overall.
fast and furious ended with Fast 5 for me, they did their biggest heist, everybody got paid, Brian and Mia were living on a beach side with their kid, Dom got a pretty girl at his side to comfort him, it was the perfect ending and i never watched any other fast and furious that came after. And this scene alone cements my belief
@@sayanaufal9193 The main characters of the fast and furious movies are definitely not human. They might not be true gods, but maybe demi-gods. Hobbs was able to take rubber bullets to the face with no reaction, then shoots someone with full body armor on with the same rubber bullets and they went down. He also was able to pull a flying helicopter using a chain. Dom was able to level a parking garage with one stomp and both him and Shaw lived the collapse. Not to mention everyone's God-like reflexes and/or luck when it comes to their insane maneuvers and feats when driving.
I enjoyed this film. I know a lot of people checked out with this one but I still found it pretty fun. The 9th one had fun moments but it had way too many ridiculous moments for you to overlook. Yeah sure it's a dumb Hollywood action movie but there are limits. A car going full Tarzan and swinging in the jungle or another car being sent to space are things that go too far
Exactly, to me the 9 megsuto a lot but that the cars already swing like Tarzan or that they pass through a bridge that is falling is a lot of very ridiculous fiction that already seems that the film is a joke, even the trip to space was very silly, but the return of Han has a good excuse because the fans loved that character very much and had to invent a way to
And the cars falling from the sky in this film wasn't as nuts as, say, the magnet scene in 9? Come on. Every film since Five has been nuts. Personally, I don't care. My favourite is Hobbs & Shaw. Crucify me, lmao
So a remote controlled submarine, cars falling from the sky, cars protecting Dom from a missile explosion, the Rock pushing a torpedo with his bare hands wasn't ridiculous? Ok.
I agree, this is actually a good film in terms of the Fast and Furious franchise but 9 was forgettable unfortunately bc it ruined the introduction of John Cena.
Imagine if fast and furious was all about Dom vs Brian. Dom being the antagonist for the series of films. Like Dom have his own crew and Brian have his own.
if they blocked all his paths yes. if he was going through a place he could go intro free ways he could outrun them easily with a car with over 1000Hp and nitrous system. however they could have gotten him easily by simply not using harpons and just TARGETING THE TIRES with literally anything to pop them.
I love how the crew harpoons into the non chassis parts of Dom's car like the door, or the bumper as if the door is an integral part of the chassis. Either that door can't be opened or AMX's engineers were just too good.
There’s the submarine one, jumping from a sky scraper in a car, going to space in a few days while NASA takes years of careful planning and calculations
6:49 Imagine If Brian was there he would tell Dom: Why are you doing this, Dom? You are my brother and friend, don't turn you back on family Dom: Forgive me Brian, I got no choice
Dude aren't you watching like Hobbs was moving back to avoid getting hit then he did still get hit but drive backwards on to a car so obviously he tips over
I know its just a movie, but you guys must not know alot about cars.... There is no way he has 5k HP.... That car would not even be come close to streetable... And not too mention he would get 0 i mean 0 traction taking off on the low profile tires on anything above 600HP from a dig... Even with massive drag radials and a fully prep'ed track he would still have massive tractions probs off the line... Forget any traction at pretty much any speed on a public road with those rear tires with what the movie claims 5k hp lmao...
"Shouldn't we take out his tires or just crash into him with all of our cars at the same time?" Hobbs: "I chipped into my baby oil money to pay for these Harpoons, and we are going to use them, candyass."
I don’t know what it is about being bad, but every time someone goes bad or starts of as a villain they have this thing where they are so over powered and as soon as the turn into a good guy, all of a sudden they get nerfed dramatically like they weren’t a bad as in the first place 😅
Yh I've been seeing that happen in the f&f movies. Like for instance some one is bad then something happens to make them turn good and then they become part of the 'family'. I mean don't get me wrong I like the movies but it's a bit predictable tbh.
That right there is why writing them is so tricky. You have to write them as if they were always capable of doing this no matter what side they are on or give them something that amplifies what they could already do and take it away once they switch sides again. A good example of this is Zuko from avatar.
I can assure people, as a former NYC resident, Manhattan streets are not built for this level of high-octane racing. However, it's so congested that just turning a corner to get to the nearest parking lot or through Time Square is a nerve-wracking experience.
@@voin5371 everyone was spinning their tires, no one had traction, you can literally hold a car doing a burnout with like 3-4 dudes to keep it from rolling
The harpoon is in a different location yall plus I’m not a expert on the Bentleys itself knowing Volkswagen owns all of it but really how much does the this continental weights anyways cause that harpoon will take it 1 Smalll weight fracture
Little Nobody was the only one who had no idea what Dom was capable of, he let Dom break the encirclement and expected Dom to be defeated by a PIT maneuver. He looked like a mall cop being assigned to a special mission. Edit: He also seemed to like the idea of catching Dom on his own instead of working as a team, which made him look totally out of depth. Like I said before, he expected Dom to be defeated so easily.. a mall cop going against the most notorious street racer isn't gonna end well for the former. I think his character was added as the "stereotypical American cop" role.
That's Clint Eastwood's son, fyi. As far as I can tell, he was added to be a soft reboot of Paul Walker's character. He's inexperienced and arrogant like O'Connor was in the first movie. In fact, if O'Connor from the first movie was in this chase, it would've ended just as badly as it did for Eastwood's character. Upon realizing this, I didn't hate him as much.
Dom also knew this and decided to bait him. He knew that he is the weakest spot on that team so he target him first to break the defense. He also knew that Roman is the second weakest member of the team and look at what happened to him.
