For those of you that haven’t seen this yet - I wish that I were you so that I could experience this story for the first time again. I ordered his book, which should be here some time next week, and I can’t wait until I get to read about new details that were not heard during this interview. Mark, this is by far hands down your best interview yet. Giovanni, you’ll go down as one of the greats.
This was the story of a man who was inspired by The Sopranos, and about all of the interactions he had with CRIMINALS, pretending to be a CRIMINAL, because he enjoys the idea of being a CRIMINAL. None of the 4 hours is about helping others, it's not about the greater good, it's about his ego, because that's what allows him the talk constantly for 4 hours. When are people going to realise that criminals are sociopaths, they're willing to kill and hurt others for their own personal gains. But still all everyone sees is the Sopranos ha ha ha, which ironically is the best insight into sociopathy.
@@samtheeagle799 Did you even watch it? It’s not about this at all. Also, what this man did undercover (take criminals off the streets who are trafficking drugs and k*lling people) was a huge sacrifice. He spent YEARS undercover to acquire necessary information to put the real bad guys away. Watch the entire video first and then comment.
A movie about what….? Some wannabe “infiltrating” a dead “family” who at that point were comprised of a handful of w!gggaz who were dealing small amounts of bIow…?
I was born and spent the first 10 years of my life in Bayonne. It's wild to hear these stories, since I know some of the people he's talking about. John who ran the waterfront married into a part of my family and was a true gentleman. John used to take my grandfather out on his boat to fish. My grandfather was a Navy man during WW2 and loved to go deep sea fishing. John also went by another name around town. Anyhow, one Bayonne to another, thanks for your service and your sacrifice. By the way, did you go to St. Andrew's? I grew up there around the same time as you. I was on the East side. So I know the MC you're talking about. I used to pass by their clubhouse when I was little to go to a little coffee shop across the street for sloppy Joe's as a little boy.
100k yr. Working the phone company in the 80's is crazy money...almost unbelievable...but then knowing what police officers made for money it's very unbelievably!!
Jaw dropper wow. Thank you for your service and for being able to tell such an in depth, riveting story portraying all sides. The stress and intensity of it all, the devotion, the heartache…
I’ve never listened to a 4 hour interview on here before but this was worth it. This guy is another “Donnie Brasco”. Brilliant story teller. I will probably buy his book.
I usually watch SWU on my phone while in traffic as a way to get through rush hour. Well, THIS episode had me as soon as he opened his mouth and i finished watching when got home. G, you are a cool cat! You are a true storyteller. You have a charmed life. Thank you for telling your story and thanks to your father for giving you a career goal that day he made that arrest when you were a boy. I truly hope that your wife and her family are able to rest in their hearts and mind. 911 was tragic, and I appreciate you adding that as well. Stay safe! I will def read your book. If it's on Audible, please be the narrator. God bless you and your family. Thank YOU Mark ❤
That’s what I kept thinking. He had no connections to anyone they knew but they still trusted him. I guess it shows how charismatic he was that he could play the part perfectly.
Most people who grow up low income/poor have amazing work ethic!! I do. Until I was hit by a drunk driver I had 2 business. My restaurant at 22 yrs old and my landscaping business with my dad at 24 yrs old. By 27 I had cancer and had a hysterectomy and beat it by 32 I was in the hospital as a quadriplegic. Was fixed and walking driving by 35. Lost m only sister and family at 37. I now help those who need it most and teach them how to be resilient . This guy is awesome
I would never do a job that that would put my family in that kind of risk and pain . “ wash your face “ Means your a 2 face . Charlie as a man is telling you to wash your face . PICK a face and be your true self .
Wow, wow, wow. That's all I can say. He is an amazing person with more than amazing stories!! Such a privilege to listen to him. Mark I appreciate you!!
This is a screenplay. He wrote a screenplay. With little bits of truth sprinkled in. With lots of embellishments. I’m his age. I’m from the same town. Low crime area. The mob was extremely quite. Just embellished
Possibly. This guy is very good looking, clean cut and smart. I would be very suspicious as to why no girlfriend or maybe he doesn’t want to mention anything else he indulged in to save his marriage. Also think that it would be very risky going public with a story like this. He couldn’t have put the entire mob away. His whole family would be in danger now.
I don't understand how this can happen..... Sad. The biker gangs let a prospect kill someone, and an undercover agent is not allowed to do that...... easy.... But congratulation on having FBI RAT on your CV.....
When I saw this in my feed and read the title, I thought "oh yeah, here we go again, another Donnie Brasco wannabe, coming out of the woodwork with some tall tales - pass" and must've clicked it by accident... I'm less than 20mins in and this guy is the real deal I'm certain. Sometimes you just know. Unfortunately now it looks like I've got 4hrs to get through - it better be worth it Gio baby!
Surely they would’ve found out that his dad was a cop. All the mob people he knew when he was younger would’ve surely found out about him being a cop and have links to the families he was investigating. I thought the mafia were really hot on finding information on people
I grew up in north jersey in the 90's close by Bayonne and it was wild growing up rite across the Hudson river in those times!! I could only imagine what the 60's 70's and 80's was like having the city as your backyard playground!!
This was great. Kind of strange how a non made guy was introduced to other made guys at this level. But I guess that's how guys get caught like they did.
