I'm new to your tutorials, but I'm loving them so far. I'm DEFINITELY trying this! I originally commented that I thought I heard your tummy grumble, then went back and listened work my eyes closed and thought I just imagined it so I edited my comment, then kept listening and DID hear it again. Not that it matters, it just was funny because when I first heard it I thought it was me, except that I didn't feeeeel it. I too, will dive into work without eating first, so I totally get it. Thank You for the beautiful stitch tutorial :)

Thank you for your videos. I appreciate your quiet gentle style of teaching. Most of the teachers I have observed in the last 3 months spend more time talking about the stitch than actually crocheting the stitch. I am a visual learner so your teaching style is excellent for me. Thanks.

You could make squares of these and put them together opposite from each other so the feathers are going one way and then the opposite. I am picturing that as a really pretty pattern and you can make them in small squares so it isn't quite so cumbersome as it gets bigger.

I appreciate your effort towards perfectionism without stressing too much about it your finished work is inarguably good, and stitches neat and straight. All of this is unlike another very popular and "connected" guy who says he likes "the homemadeness of it all", so he can proudly say he did it himself if someone comments on it, when he makes no effort to keep his stitches straight and talks about blocking like it's a cure for sloppiness. I'm here to tell you that I am perfectionistic. I have striven for years to keep my stitches straight, and to even out my tension and keep a balance so that my stitches will be straight, and most especially to make sure that the top part of my double crochets do not take up too much space, having too much slack in the top loops ~ especially the second one from the top, If you just pull back on the rains a little bit with your hook, you can shrink that part of this stitch and it will go a long way into making yer stitch stand up straight, taking not much more space than the two legs under it ~ If that's a trouible area for anyone., Another thing that makes them lean is when there is too much slack in the left leg which is longer naturally because of the twist of the stitch which can make them lean moreso. This can make make granny squares look like they are running around in circles, distorting the corners. I was a little slow getting on the internet and I never saw distorted granny squares until I got online on RU-vid. I was without any prior knowledge in 5th grade, and without anyone to show me the way [ or learn mistakes or errors from ] absolutely earnest, to make my stitches looking exactly like my instruction booklet (my mother gifted me with yarn, hook and book ~ out of the blue ~ when she worked for a yarn shop/resort cabin innkeeper as a housekeeper on Cape Cod) I was utterly smitten with crochet, and totally obsessed with making sure that my double crochet did not lean and that my single crochets had absolutely straight Vees underneath that top loop like the book. After I got online, and started seeing and noticing other people's crochet Now that I knew it wasn't made on a machine and bought on a shelf or a hanger in a store , and because we didn't have anyone in our family that I was close to geographically who knew any needle or fiber arts I realized that If you pay attention to your stitches, and the twist of your yarn, you don't have to block, ever.

whoo hoo fabulous another great video by the fantastic Fiber spider, would make a fabulous bag because its so nice and thick. Think I am correct thst you are going into the same chain space twice from on row 3 one from end of 7 loops and the same one from the start of the next set you call it first chain space, if thats right it maybe would maybe worth commenting in descritption that for beginners in case they get confused that you are working twice in the same one.

Hi, I'm fairly new to all this. I came across your video, and the pattern is lovely, and so is watching your demonstration and explanation. When you start the repeat, is the half double done into the full first stitch, or the front loop only?
