Maybe someone could credit the coolest videographer to have the insight to run to CBGB with his camera and film these bands ? OK I will: Thank you for your vision and your service. Paul Tschinkle, you are so important to the NY music scene history. People know your stuff world-wide and have no idea who you are. About time they did. Sir, I thank you for your service. PS: He is a seriously generous, kind and sweet man BTW.
The bearded hippie dude in the crowd sporting the wool cap at the beginning of the video has the right idea...this music makes you want to jump and groove and shake uncontrollably. Man, do I LOVE ❤ The Feelies!
I absolutely love The Feelies. I bought their debut as a cut-off in Birmingham about a year after release. It's a timeless record. I just gave it away... as I wanted it shared.
Ah yes, Geek rock at it's finest. I bought this album back in 1980 and I still love it to this day. I've got a CD of the album in my car right now. In my opinion, they never matched the beautiful quirkiness of the Crazy Rhythms album, a punk rock (sort of) masterpiece!
are you the nephew of bill who is doing the documentary on the feelies? how is it coming along? feelies are the greatest band ever, maybe even the greatest thing since sliced bread. imo, they're better now, post 2008 than they were ever in the late eighties. maybe not quite as good as they were in the early days, but close.
