Maybe Dominique is trying to figure it out her sexuality after her role as Waverly and maybe she is in the phase of experimenting and flirting with someone she totally feels comfortable with and most important she trust and know won’t judged her at the end...or maybe is a extended part of both character just to entertain the fans a keep the flames burning until Wynona Earp is completely done, WHO KNOWS?... Whatever reason is you can still see the bonding that this two women have between them, in and out of cameras, it is magical, pure and sincere, just what humanity needs in this time.
Wow! I just expressed my opinion from my point of view a year ago and well, I guess I was right! I have noticed that she is starting to feel more confident and comfortable in her on skin, like she doesn’t need to hide her true colors :)! She has been open about most thing in her life, but wasn’t about her sexuality; that was a secret, even tho we see her how she acts with Katherine Barrell when she is around, but like I said a year ago: Dominique was in a phase of experimenting her identity and thanks to Waverly character now took the courage and speak out loud to the world, I guess she is figuring all out piece by piece at her pace, so good for her & good luck!. My respect to her and her career.
I have bestfriend too we do hugs, we lean to each other, we hold hands also, that's what very close bestfriends do, especially if both of you is touchy and affectionate human being it is normal..
I have a friend who is married and mother of 4 I hug her lean and even kiss her. Not only her I had many in past as well and I was like this with them too. I think it's normal.
After "do you get turned on when we kiss?" [Dom], and "there are times that how can you not" [Kat], i think they both had some feelings for each other along these 4 seasons! It's a perfect storm. It's not everyday that you get to work so closely with someone you connect with so uniquely. Most of us will never really lean into it, let alone have an entire audience observe it. These kinds of relationships can accomplish so much. The bottom line is it happens once in a lifetime. Its a real honor to work with another person like this.

Ya know for the longest I was like "nah they are just really really good friends like super besties who just really trust each other" ya know like the game of thrones girls Maggie and Sophie and how they playfully say they are soul mates and are married. Kat is protective and supportive of Dom. Dom feels safe and free around Kat. They have a very unique friendship. I don't like the think it beyond that if they may have deeper feelings for each other. Kat seem happy with her marriage and truly care for her friends. Dom is like this little human you'll always want to protect. They like soulmates though not in a romantic way though sometimes they are way too touchy for a friendship
