An extremely creepy tale to usher in the Seventh Month. The prospect of feeling unsafe even when surrounded by family, is relatable- and unnerving. The scariest part was when the entity laid NEXT to Jenny. The way it walked around the room like a bedroom sentry, reminded me of the classic Army story of the "boy" and his "mother". One shudders at what could have happened if Jenny had made a sound...or had the entity returned. Its also eerie that apart from her mother, no one else awoke despite the sound of the screaming mother and silent baby. Makes you wonder why no one else went to investigate- or even complain about the sounds (I'm guessing everyone either were fast asleep, minded their own business-or like Jenny and her mother, were too scared to leave their rooms). It was a relief when the baby drew breath again ( probably the only time a baby's wail in the dead of night is welcome), as I feared the entity would have claimed the child since it could not take Jenny. It makes one wonder what kind of spirit it was...a maternal wraith perhaps? At any rate, its a chilling tale- and here's to a month of fearsome feasting!

If anyone crawled into my bed, living or dead, I'd kick them out. No one disturbs my sleep xD (I even used to put my cat down, he was a big fat guy and liked lying on my chest or back. Mum said I was evil for doing it, but I prefer breathing over not disturbing the old cat.)

@@WEAREHANTU maybe it's my own personal definition at work but I've never found Japanese stories scary. Creepy, yes but not scary. I reserve scary for Indonesian, Malaysian, and Singaporean stories. But that's just me 😀

Very fair point! Southeast Asian spirits are probably the scariest. That’s why you rarely see western ghost hunters coming here to “ghost hunt” 👻😈
