Thank you for not playing only boring blues-rock/country licks and whatnot. Great to hear those more jazzy tones that I know is very possible to get on teles.
This is the guitar I'm saving for - same colour and everything. Just love the look of it and the specs are just exactly what I want. Great playing! It's comforting to know great musicians like yourself favour this model
just got my self the same guitar! I play mostly Jazz and love its compressed sound. I use heavy gauge strings therefore I had to file the nut wider to fit but other then that, absolutely love it on the neck pickup ❤
Great demo, thank you. I have one but in the honey burst finish and it is an amazing guitar imo. I did the same thing and changed out the saddles for compensated ones from Philadelphia Luthier Tools. The tuning and intonation weren’t bad before but it definitely holds tune way better now and intonation is spot on. I also put a solderless 4 way switch in it from ObsidianWire and it’s been great. The 4th position isn’t quite like a humbucker but it is a much beefier sound and I use it all the time. The neck on these performer’s was what sealed the deal for me. ✌🏻
@@ollieburden2562 the Vinteras are vintage spec instruments so it’s hard to compare. Main differences are Vintera has small frets, 7.25 radius and vintage pups. Performer has jumbo frets, 9.5 radius and hotter pups. It depends what you want. I like my Vintera 50s Tele but I also equally like my Highway ones and American Sprcial teles.
@@KRAZEEIZATION leaning towards the vintera 2 as I prefer the vintage appointments, but being £900, it's very close in price to the performer, which is USA made and may be better quality and value for money- or maybe not who knows lol
@@ollieburden2562 Well, I own a Vintera 50s Tele, a Classic Series Esquire which I’m actually plying as I type this, I’ve a 72 custom also. Three great guitars. I agree, new Mex made fenders are getting crazy expensive. I was thinking of getting a V2 60s Strat in LPB. But I can get a used Highway one Strat for less! I’ve a Noventa Strat and Tele and a couple of Fender Leads all bought in the last 3 years and all are fantastic. I did buy a used Fender Am Special Tele in UK last June and it was the same price as a new MIM guitar! The HW-1, Special and Performer are all from the same stable really, hot pups, jumbo frets. Modern guitars with a vintage look. The Vintera 2 are awesome and well worth it. By the way the Performer has Yosemite pups and I think it’s a 4 way on a Tele. I’d like a Strat from the range but they have the big ugly headstock! I don’t think you can go wrong with any of them really. I’d buy USA used if possible as you’ll save a few pounds!
I loved the neck pickup sound on this model. The bridge is good (but not as great as the neck to me). I actually bought it because of that sound. I didn't care for the sound of the Vmod II on the prof II model.
U can play anything on a tele. Theres no other guitar that is as widely used ever. Slipknots dude plays a tele im pretty sure and ion even like metal like that.
I think the amp and my settings were more to blame because the Blackstar Silverline amp I used can get a bit noisy when gain is set up past 5 or 6 . Still a great amp and the guitar is very quiet on other amps or in a lower gain setting.
@@sixstringspice5257 Like you, I play mostly jazz. Clean, no pedals, thru a Twin Reverb. My tele is a new Pro II, and I immediately had to have the VMod II pickups replaced with gen 4 noiseless. For me, I can't tolerate any hum. My other American Fenders all have noiseless pickups as well.
