Don't forget who owned those ruins before Clayman did. Rimuru would be thinking that if these guys were working with Clayman, they already knew about the ruins, conversely, if they weren't working with Clayman, then telling them about the ruins would be no harm done. But they never let you know what Rimuru is thinking for a long stretch of time here (even in the LN). It's just difficult to figure out where the plotline with Yuuki is going. Of all the artificially-generated jobs they could give a new second-in-command who came out of nowhere to introduce to Rimuru at this point, why did it have to be a ruins explorer? A bit of a coincidence, huh? An indication that the Yuuki plotline is moving along quietly. Btw, it's been almost a year since Rimuru last visited Engrassia. Canceling the debt makes both Rimuru and Youm look good. Edgar is 10 yo. The roads Rimuru laid out have been built with railways already in mind.
…While the effects of Chosen Hero on people (ESPECIALLY that it makes people so rude) gives me a migraine, I do feel sorry for Masayuki for getting dragged by this😓
