There were quite a few terms I didnt know I kinda wish this had been around when I first started. I hope im not overstepping my bounds; I personally would have put terns like command cards and Craft essence first because several other terms centered around those basic ones, or otherwise grouped relevant terns together. I enjoyed the video as always I can understand why it took awhile, lots of information in here and its very clearly presented.
I remember posting about Poster Girl when the game did that CE banner right before Saber Wars 2; someone "corrected" me by explaining that "Poster Girl" didn't have a rate-up, and the banner only featured CEs. Apparently, that person thought "Poster Girl" refers to Saber Altria as in the mascot of the franchise. EDIT: Holy shit. I never knew that was what Lvl 90+ meant. I always thought that irregular enemy counts were just dw's way of screwing with loopers.
@@mndy129 Yeah, but I didn't know it had a specific designation. Until now, I believed "Lvl 90+" just meant "more HP." I never connected it to enemy numbers.
These would've been super helpful when I started my first JP account over 5 years ago, so really well done Pocket! It's an advanced term, but I'd add Buff Stacking, where you buff the main DPS at first turn, switch them out, and stall until the Plugsuit recharges or the switched-in servant dies. It's a bit rare now with Break Bars and most people prefer 3 turning than stalling for dummy damage, but I still see some people running buff stacks every now and then.
@@rasoser1249 Oberon's S3 is a bit special in that it's unstackable. I tried with Double Oberon just now, and the 2nd NP multiplier just didn't activate. Only reason you'd want to use Double Oberon would be if you need 2 20+50% chargers.
Like was explained here, they're Servants kept at low level for their skill - sometimes even raising that skill to Level 10. Examples include Leonidas and Georgios when trying to solo a CQ since they have a Taunt as an S1. Summer Ishtar is an example of a Servant some people will keep at Level 1 but with Level 10 S1.
I can't remember if it was touhousniper98 but someone made a term for 2A2B decks and called it nier deck, I like that term, is easy to remember There was also "light deck" wich was 2A2Q
I used to teach English (ah, pre-covid times) and one of my students was a massive whale for this game. We would often practice English just by talking about the games and learning the terminology. He got a particular kick out of my calling Orion a "crit-gorilla!"
Not sure if this is a commonly used term but 'gssr' (guaranteed ssr), a banner that appears twice a year wherein you are guaranteed an ssr in exchange for 15 paid SQ.
I've heard some players use the term "gold fish" for players who spend a bit of real money in the game. So it's something like this: Leviathan >> Whale > Goldfish
e-sports servants are the biggest and best in the game Also, while explaining terms used by the community for strategy and lore discussions is helpful, trying to summarize nicknames is a fool's errand since most subsets of the community use different names for servants
I can't say that there's any terminology that comes to mind for me that isn't covered here - it's also nice that the acronyms aren't just spelled out but also fully defined; can't say anything here is new to me (started playing NA in June 2019) but for a new player this explains _sooooo_ much. Very good beginner primer.
The video is good explanation video, though I think you should briefly mention about NP damage scale/multiplier. Not really that important per se, especially for new players, as it is part of the hidden values, but it's still a nice thing to know when talking about it.
Yeah been playing this game for probably about 2 years and I'll say it I suck at this game I mean Im finding about crap and game mechanics that I've never even noticed constantly just today I found out you can check friend servant skills before you start by clicking on their skill icon
Not gonna lie, I thought this was gonna talk about terms like SHEBA system, Tri-Hermes, and all of that. But in hindsight, that'd probably be a headache waiting to happen if you were going to explain each and every one of those.
I thought it was funny that you were using abbreviations for terms to describe other abbreviations before you got to explain the inital abbreviation. Ex. saying NP to explain Battery instead of saying Noble Phantasm.
we're actually seeing somewhat a number of newcomers in some fgo circles. Yes this game does have online groupies too. I only learned about these stuff after joining one.
