Club world cup is needed tbh Europe can disagree with this because they have so many big tournaments & players will be over work but rest of the world clubs need this for their growths
Turn to Jesus and repent. This is how u are born again spiritually and go to heaven. Jesus is the only way truth and life and the only way to the Father God who is KING! ❤😊😅😮😢
South American clubs take this tournament very seriously. Back in the day we even used to win it. Unfortunately in the last years any libertadores champions is no match for the UCL champion.
Only because of money my friend. If Brazilian clubs had the same kind of money as them especially English teams you would be running circles the average British player is terrible
It's always a South American club vs a European Club. Same with the world Cup, South American country vs European country. Shows how big and well ahead in talent and development these continents are in football.
@@naville82 That's so true, despite Flamengo being one of the richest clubs in South America, if not the richest. It's not even close of European football
@@murilocerqueira8990 if La Liga Italian German and French leagues had the same amount of money as the PL they would all be doing better than the English teams 200%
Is a good tournament for the other ones to try and promote their teams and challenge their self Vs the others hopefully it get better and more challenging for the champion ligue
no disrespect, but that's really because the ucl teams are much better than brazilian teams ,it is a big challenge for brazilian teams to win the final agianst european giants. What do you expect when european giants have all the biggest stars from all around the world including brazil. But that makes the victory that much more deserving like in 2012.
@@lakshyasachan755 no South American will take offence to this because we’re more than aware that’s the case. The big money in football is in Europe so naturally it’s where all the best play. Some of the best players may come from South America however there’s no denying the best teams are in Europe regardless of the reasons.
@@ogre1890 I understand the money part,I think it is also because of the different styles of play. South America in General style is very different from Europe. France has a clean style of play everything needs to be perfect and meticulous. Spain likes to pass a lot. they are playing a geometrical football at all times. England got that American vibe Big guys and all about pace. South America to me seems all over the place like a free-style type of play with tremendous talent. The problem is When the tremendous talent is not there South America is basically fucked.
@@edbabineThe main problem is that only the big clubs in Brazil seek to win, while the rest basically become star manufacturers for foreign football, the team directors prefer to fill their pockets, Latin football has problems in terms of the size of territories, infrastructure, rivalry that sometimes causes deaths and clubism exaggerates, In addition to climate change being very disruptive, we have to have technical stops due to the heat, and we cannot build refrigerated stadiums like the Arab ones.
@@booboosnackHere's another fact. Corinthians never lost in the knockout stages either that year in the 2012 Libertadores. What a team they had, even eliminating Neymar too.
@@Bladeballfacts calm down kid, they didn't "dEsTrOy" anyone, they barely won against Barca if it wasn't for Messi missing a penalty and handful of sitters
The UCL winners have won the last 9 times but it doesn't really put it into perspective how a lot of times they really suffer against the not so known teams Take for example the edition between flamengo and Liverpool, where flamengo put a really good fight against a Liverpool that was bodying every team they were playing, Liverpool won with a single goal on the 100th minute of extra time, flamengo had a lot of chances including a open goal miss by a academy player meaning it could've very well went to penalties. Or the palmeiras and Chelsea where Chelsea won 2x1 with a penalty on the 117th minute In the last 30 years europeans Vs brazilians they faced each other 12 times, 7 european X 5 brazilian wins For europeans the club world cup may not mean so much, but every time they lose it shows that football outside of europe can be on par with them even with the huge disparity in money( Flamengo which was the most valuable on this edition squad is worth less than Hoffenheim, so imagine that, a club that is 14th in the bundesliga having a close game with Liverpool, it is insane)
What a load of waffle😂 I agree with money yes but don't compare one game please if flamengo played in the premier league or champions league top 10 being nice and for championsleague they might end up in the conference quite easily with the quality of teams these days.
@@acolemine im an al ahly fan but seattle did realky good they had many chances but they were either off target or saved by the keeper same with al ahly but it all ended in the 83rd minute goal and then the final whistle
Back in the day the Intercontinental cup was actually a huge deal and there were some legendary matches South American teams used to dominate it right through the eighties but then things changed as the 90s grew on and turned into the 2,000 the last time a South American team won the Intercontinental Cup was in 2002
I actually want this to be the biggest club competition, because it will be worldwide, giving every club a chance that is outside Europe, even thought I am European. (Georgia)
It doesn't really, since the champions league and TV money has came into play it's the same clubs that dominate Europe and they'll go on to dominate that tournament as a whole, leading to sides all over the world to go into financial ruin just trying to keep up with them like we are seeing happen all over Europe
The thing is outside of Europe clubs are simply not on the same level A Tottenham - Rennes match in conference league is a more fair and interesting match (despite one club being a clear favorite) than Real Madrid vs al ilal or a similar club The European super cup is a way more interesting match
For every club (outside of Europe) the Club World Cup is the most important club competition in the world. Back in the days a lot of legendary South-American clubs won it. There were even times when the South-American clubs were better, than European clubs. South-American football is very underrated. Especially if you look at the history.
Fun fact : The top 5 countries whose clubs have won the most club WCs and intercontinental cups are : Spain , Brazil , Argentina , Italy and Uruguay . So Uruguayan clubs have been crowned club world champions more times than English clubs!
I got the feeling that when it existedthe intercontinental cup the Conmebol teams won very often to the Uefa teams compared to now, Boca Juniors (my club) won it 3 times in 1977 (vs Borussia Möchengladbach), 2000 (vs Real Madrid) and in 2003 (vs Milan, this was the last time that an Argentine club won it), but the last Conmebol winner was corinthians in 2012, and for 9 years straight we had an Uefa winner, and it seems like Real Madrid is going to win it, the difference is so big now
@@littleking5546 I couldn’t care for the simple fact they’ll not repeat the same feat again…I was rooting for them but making the semi finals was unbelievable but now when you see comments like this it’s just begging to get likes and it’s pathetic
In South America they take it super seriously. I’m an arsenal fan and I was down in Brazil and a Flamengo fan asked me how many club world cups arsenal had and I was like “uhhh what..?”😂
since the team from the country which host is the same winner of champions league of africa they will add the secound place of tournament(champions league of africa) which is AL-Ahly
I just wish they cared about the sport more than money, they would still make an insanely amount of money, prioritizing the main reason they exist should be the most important thing
Only People of Europe don't take it seriously because they have rich clubs that can buy talents from any continents but rest of the world do care about club world cup
It should be expanded to 8 teams and the knockout bracket should be drawn just like the UCL knockouts. I’m just not sure how to get and 8th team in. Maybe add the Europa league winners. Thoughts?
@@turki_2009no he said uel because they are the best team after the 7 it kinda makes sense however looking at it Uefa Europa league 🏆 are really good nowadays
The previous version of this was played until 2004. In 2000 there was FIFA’s botched World Club Championship in Brazil which was scrapped after one tournament but that year the old format was also played as a separate tournament meaning that there were two club World Champions in 2000
In fact, in 2000 there was a first attempt, held in Brazil, but not with the current format. If I'm not mistaken, the tournaments replaced the intercontinental and started to have this format in 2005
My opinion: Keep the tournament in every 4 years but you should sacrifice one champions league season of Asia, Europe and south America There should be 8 different groups First four groups should contain the ucl winnes ,Asia cl winner's, African champions league winners and liberatores winners Last four groups should be like play offs There should be decider matches between last 4 pl winners ,last 4 Bundesliga winners , last four serie a winners and la liga winners and then ligue 1 decider winner should face Bundesliga decider winner So after that playoff , every team should be in one group and the same system should apply to the other teas outside of Europe Then make a tournament between the top 3 finishers So 8 teams will finish in 3rd of their group so there should be 2 groups ,the top 2 of the two groups should face the top 2 of other group So remains only two teams Make a final between them to decide the Winner, then a super cup type match
An interesting fact is that the first edition of the club world cup was much fairer, with a group stage of 2 groups of 4 playing with the top 2 going to the final and runners up in the 3rd place final. In this club world cup even more interestingly, Manchester United was knocked out in the groups, Real Madrid lost to Mexican club Necaxa in the 3RD PLACE final and the final was played between 2 Brazilian clubs.
If your a European team and you just won the Champions League then you know no one is gonna have a chance against you in the club world cup. European teams win that tournament almost always😅
Thank you for explaining it cuz I had no idea how certain teams got in the tournament like teams that no body hears about unless you live in the country of the team
@@fluxam17 because south america has a lot of football history, players like maradona, pele, riquelme, neymar, forlan, and many many more played there, also the atmosphere of the games. It's your choice if you watch it or not, but if you want to know more about football south america is necessary i mean current world cup champions is here in the south
There should be larger global cup, il Europe would dominate but the smaller clubs need that kind of competition in order to succeed. I propose that 1 club out of each country that played in the WC get selected and it's basically like the world cup.
This tournament is soo small even in Brazil, that his prestige here is unically because the best team here does not have it. The value of this "World Cup" is trying to reduce the best local, not a value by itself.
Watching this is painful because of bloody Seattle Sounders. Very Very painful to see this after 10 months of Club World Cup and 1 1/2 after the worst day in CONCACAF history.
Imagine a tournament but instead of the champions and libertadores and ETC There could be another tournament but with Europa league, Sudamericana and etc
They should do round robin matches and exclude host nation participation. Which means 6 teams(all teams should be placed in one group), they'll play each other 2 times. Then top 4 plays semifinal, and then final. Its good chance to play farely. Current Playing system is worst.
It's crazy how Europeans don't know about the HUGE importance this has for the south American teams and how many sout Americans don't know that it's so irrelevant for European teams that many people don't even know it exists. I am German and did exchange in Brasil, people there are CRAAAZY about this tournament while here nobody cares
There not even allowed to compete in the Asian Champions League and there decades away from being able to compete even if they were in it, so I can’t see them in any form of world club cup for sometime
