Over confident. Good example of overlooking your opponent. If he saying how good he is, shouldnt even leave up to judges. He was the clear better fighter. But he probably thought he could walk in there and win. Totally joke

Yes fighters need better pay BUT flip side… it makes me wonder how many people/fighters Dana HAS helped and it was disclosed/not boasted about. Not saying Danas not a bully, but give the man some props too.

yeah i partially agree, the base pay should be higher; the risk of providing way more money immediately in the beginning means the fighting industry gets flooded with fighters that don't want it 100% but its an okay job to live off. Then you need more quality gates and mechanisms to keep it exciting and "elite", so you need to have more promotions and "leagues" like in many other sports.

Forgive me for being Negative Nancy here😅, but does this whole story look weird to anybody else? Something just feels off lol too good to be true maybe. dude pulled to the event with a very highly dressed girl who looks like a model. That's not what you'd expect from a supposedly broke guy. And even if it's all legit, why would he give him that much moey to the point where he can spoil his girl like that? cause if she had money like that she'd probably help him out I'd guess. Dana absolutely loves this guy bc he can say see he was homeless and I get these guys paid. It’s true to a point but Dana loves the contenders guys extra bc it’s ego and he can start them all out on dirt cheap contracts instead of signing talent that’s established elsewhere.

People have short memories. Dana White has had many 'boys' over the years that he promotes and acts like they are the best thing in the world. Unfortunately it won't be long until Joe does something to piss Dana off and he throws him under the bus and drags him through the mud like he has done to so many fighters over the years. Joe lucked out on this episode of Contender, I remember watching it and it was full of boring arse fights, that's why Dana was so pissed and fired up.
